Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Confrontation

Suddenly, that person’s small arm was grabbed by Heath Sterling, "In a man’s gathering, what’s the point of bringing a coy woman, no fun."

"Why don’t I call a few sensible ones for you." Heath Sterling took out his phone, flipping through a few numbers.

The one called Mr. Stone got interested right away and stopped paying attention to Moira Young.

Moira Young felt a twinge in her nose, her eyes unexpectedly turning a bit red. She took the opportunity to leave quickly but accidentally bumped into Heath Sterling.

In her panic, she made eye contact with him, his words swirling around in her mind.

He said she was coy, no fun.

Moira Young’s scalp tingled, suddenly thinking of Fiona Rhodes, and Sylvia Lopez from two years ago, they were older and more experienced, able to do things with Julian Sinclair.

She also recalled Heath Sterling’s many girlfriends from the social scene, bold and open, are these the kind of people who are considered fun?

Do all men like that kind of woman?

She bit her lower lip, shook her head hard, only stopping when she ran back to the VIP area.

She reached into her bag to get her phone, only to find a shiny gold object hanging from the bag’s raised logo.

Moira Young held the object in her hand and examined it, and it clearly read ’International Racing Champion Medal’.

Suddenly she felt the enormous weight of the object, this was Heath Sterling’s medal that he just received... how did it mysteriously end up in her hand!

What should she do! In a panic, Moira Young gripped the medal tightly and her first instinct was to run back and return it to him.

By coincidence, Carter Porter spotted her and ran over. Moira Young was startled, instinctively stashing the medal back into her bag, acting as if nothing had happened.

She didn’t want others to see Heath Sterling’s medal with her, otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to explain it even with ten mouths.

"I’ve been looking for you everywhere, let’s go."

Moira Young, as if she had done something wrong, her gaze a bit evasive, started walking while looking back at the place where she was earlier, weighing the matter of the medal in her mind.

On the way back, in the car, she habitually placed her bag by her side.

All the way, she was debating whether to give Carter Porter the medal, let him return it to Heath Sterling, but after thinking it over, she still didn’t want others to know about this matter. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

The car stopped at the doorstep, Moira Young, troubled by her thoughts, briefly bid farewell to Carter Porter, and went inside the house.

"You’re back? Take my luggage to Julian’s room." As soon as she stepped in, she heard Fiona Rhodes’s voice.

Moira Young felt a fire pent up inside, she changed her shoes reluctantly, reached out to push the suitcase, only to find that her bag wasn’t with her.

Oh no! Forgot it in Carter Porter’s car!

The medal is still inside...

"What are you standing there for?" Fiona Rhodes sat on the sofa with an air of the hostess, Julian Sinclair was not present.

"Miss Fiona, this kind of thing is usually what I do." Mrs. Miller quickly walked over, taking the suitcase from Moira Young’s hands, "I’ll do it, I’ll do it."

Fiona Rhodes let out a mocking laugh, leisurely admiring her nails, her tone frivolous, "Mrs. Miller, you may have forgotten my status."

Mrs. Miller chuckled awkwardly, replying, "Miss Fiona, Miss Moira usually doesn’t do these things, you see, does it matter who takes the suitcase upstairs, I get paid to do what’s within my duty..."

Fiona Rhodes’s smile froze instantly, she put down her hand, her gaze sharp on Mrs. Miller, yet she said nothing more.

Fiona Rhodes knew that Julian Sinclair was raised under Mrs. Miller’s watch, she held significant weight in his mind, and it’s unwise to offend her unless absolutely necessary.

Moira Young wasn’t listening to their conversation at all, just knowing her bag was missing, luckily her phone was still in her hand.

She immediately called Carter Porter, but could not reach him.

"Moira Young, you may not need to carry the suitcase, but since you call Julian Sinclair ’Uncle’, you naturally ought to respect me." Fiona Rhodes saw Mrs. Miller go upstairs, so she thought of another way to trouble her.

Moira Young snapped back to reality, "What?"

"Turn on the TV." Fiona Rhodes ordered.

Moira Young looked around and found the remote control on the coffee table right in front of her, it was within reach, it was deliberate.

"The remote control is right in front of you, why do you insist that I turn it on?"
