Supreme Heir Son-in-law-Chapter 1049 - 1048: Xu Ke Comes to the Rescue
In the villa, Tangtang and Guoguo sat anxiously on the bed. "Why don’t we just charge out?" Tangtang pointed to the doorway.
As she spoke, a hint of excitement appeared on her face.
Guoguo glared at her irritably and patted Tangtang’s head. "Are you overthinking?"
Tangtang pouted and snorted coldly.
"This won’t do, that won’t do either." Tangtang scratched her head, unusually irritable.
She looked out the window, trying to calm herself down. Reality is never as smooth as imagined, the more she looked, the more restless she felt.
Looking at the outside world, she really wanted to get out, but it wouldn’t work.
"If we go through the corner, we should be fine," Tangtang paused, saying uncertainly, "We’ll be fine, right?"
"Go have a look." Guoguo nodded.
Tangtang stood up, quickly pressed herself against the wall, glanced around, and tiptoed forward.
She took a step towards the corner, her body trembling with a bad premonition.
Then, she spotted the surveillance above.
"Hmm, they must be everywhere," Guoguo sneered slightly.
Her heart was utterly broken, yet there was no way to get out at all.
Tangtang was stunned when she heard that comment and tugged at the corner of her mouth.
She didn’t believe it.
In truth, she already believed it, but she chose not to believe out of a strong desire to leave. But now that they were stuck here, there was no way out.
She detoured briefly into the alley beside.
"It’s fine, just take a detour." Tangtang muttered softly.
Guoguo, though still unwilling to give up, once again couldn’t help but caution: "Be careful. Hidden Weapons might pop out over there."
Tangtang froze, still reluctant to fully believe, thinking they wouldn’t be so ruthless.
But in reality, it was truly ruthless.
Walking alongside the corner for a long time, just as she thought she could get out, she saw five surveillance cameras at the exit, rotating 360 degrees seamlessly.
There was absolutely no possibility of escape.
She looked at the ground, "Damn, this is too much."
The ground had a slightly different hue.
If it wasn’t for Guoguo, Tangtang wouldn’t have thought much of it.
But thinking back now, it must be Hidden Weapons.
"Based on my prediction, somewhere on the wall can activate the Hidden Weapons," Guoguo said, looking at her.
Knowing them well, knowing Tangtang would definitely walk along the wall, so these Hidden Weapons were inevitable.
Shouldn’t be too big of a surprise, let them taste some hardship, that way they might be more obedient.
"So annoying." Tangtang lay on the bed, rolling back and forth several times.
There’s no way out, and any rash action might lead to trouble.
Guoguo sighed seeing her actions.
"There’s no choice, we can only ask for help." Guoguo said, pursing her lips.
Upon hearing this, Tangtang’s eyes flashed with excitement, she happily bounced up from the bed, "Yes, yes, why didn’t I think of that?"
Guoguo pursed her lips, seemingly unwilling to pay much attention to her.
"Xu Ke, he’s probably the only one who can help us." Guoguo voiced out again.
Just such a simple sentence reignited Tangtang’s hope, she clapped her hands and said, "Exactly, exactly."
"Seems like there’s hope of getting out."
After discussing, they dialed Xu Ke’s number.
"Xu Ke, there’s a tricky problem, and we’d like you to help." After dialing, Guoguo first gave him a heads-up.
A sudden silence from the other side, no sound at all.
A few seconds ticked away before Xu Ke slowly spoke, "What’s the matter?"
Xu Ke would definitely do everything he can, but he feared he wouldn’t be able to solve this issue, so he seemed a bit startled.
Guoguo opened her mouth but her throat blocked, she couldn’t let out even a word.
She truly wasn’t good at asking for favors.
Guoguo gave Tangtang a look, and Tangtang took the phone, turned on the speaker, and said, "Here’s the situation, we’re trapped in the villa."
A brief note on what needs to be said.
"Alright, I’ll certainly get you both out." Xu Ke stated seriously.
Then the busy tone sounded, the call was cut off.
"What’s going on?" Tangtang froze.
It’s unclear if it’s out of urgency, or if Xu Ke already knows the truth, or he simply doesn’t want to delve into too many details; he didn’t ask.
"Now we can only wait for him to come rescue us." Guoguo exhaled deeply.
Seeing the worried expression on Guoguo’s face, Tangtang comforted her, "Don’t worry too much, he will definitely come to save us."
"But I’m quite worried about him." Guoguo sighed, unsure of what might happen, and whether Xu Ke would be successful, or if any trouble might arise because of rescuing them.
Thinking of these possible outcomes, Guoguo couldn’t help but worry.
They were trapped in the villa, though escaping would certainly be good, if it caused harm to others or led to any incident, her conscience would be uneasy.
"Xu Ke is lucky and will be fine." Tangtang patted her shoulder.
Guoguo nodded, perhaps she really was being somewhat paranoid.
"Alright, let’s wait for him to come rescue us." Guoguo said, looking at Tangtang.
In that moment, they felt encouraged by each other.
While they waited calmly, Xu Ke first thought of going to Brother Long’s bar. "Is Brother Long here?" Xu Ke asked. The bartender shook his head, "Not sure, but haven’t seen him."
"Seems like he’s not here, just checked his office and didn’t find him."
"Don’t know."
Xu Ke asked several people who all hadn’t seen him.
So, he must not be there.
Xu Ke sighed, already running out of the bar, on his way to the villa.
Started the car. "Tangtang, Guoguo, wait for me, I’ll certainly get you out." Xu Ke repeated internally.
Though this matter involves many dangers, he must rescue them.
Sometimes, even when in a hurry, things don’t go smoothly.
He hit the red light.
"Damn." Xu Ke pressed the horn several times.
"What’s wrong with you? It’s a red light, why honk?" The car in front angrily yelled back.
Evidently displeased with Xu Ke’s action; it’s not like staying put by choice, a red light is a red light, what’s the rush. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Xu Ke tried hard to control his emotions, "Sorry, I’m just anxious."
Extremely frustrated inside, but without any solution, until the red light finally turned green.
As the vehicle started, he overtook several cars and moved ahead.
Yet again hitting the traffic light, this area had very closely-packed lights, and once hitting one, you’d hit many more.
Xu Ke clenched his fists, "Tangtang, Guoguo, wait for me." Aside from anxiously waiting, he had no other choice.
The red light changed to green again, reached the next intersection, again hitting the traffic light.
All along, he tried hard to suppress his bad mood, but the lights came one after another, wasting a lot of time.
