The ground trembled as the demon lord’s massive frame approached, the anger palpable in his crimson eyes.

"That’s a big fish, alright." Jared smirked as he subconsciously summoned thick tendrils of vine around him.

The green-haired boy took a step back, but Nox remained standing despite the oppressive aura emitting from the enemies.

"Who dares trespass my realm and slaughter my kin!" Vraxx’s booming voice echoed across the realm.

"Good thing you can talk." Nox replied with a small smirk on his face. "The rest of your kind were too dumb and only attacked blindly, but with you, I have a feeling you can lead us to the teleportation circle."

"The arrogance." The demon lord sneered, his crimson eyes locked onto Jared and Nox as he pointed his massive blade at them. "You’ve caused quite the stir, good, I was just getting bored."

BOOM!

Without waiting for a response, Vraxx stomped forward. The place where he had been standing exploded as he moved at a ridiculous speed for his build.

Quickly, Jared escaped from the trajectory. After all, he was only a level 60 Awakened; a level 100 demon was something he couldn’t face now.

In contrast, however, Nox summoned Glacier’s End. The hilt of the frost blade he had gotten from the dragon realm glistened.

Right at that moment, the two clashed in the middle.

BANG!

The result of two experts clashing was nothing short of destructive. A violent shockwave exploded out in all directions, destroying some of the towering pillars.

Jared erected a barrier made of vines, but still, he was pushed back.

"Damn, I’m way too behind." He gritted his teeth as he tried to keep up his barrier. "A little stronger than this, and I’ll be in a sorry state just like those pillars."

"Human, you’re strong." Vraxx growled. He and Nox were in a temporary standstill.

"I know that already, demon." Nox replied, his expression calm with no strain of struggle on his face, which made the demon lord frown subconsciously.

He was barely holding on. How did this human look so relaxed?

Little did he know the reason for this was because of the sword in Nox’s arms. Not only did it have destructive ice capabilities, but it also boosted his strength.

On the outside.

Kira, Hendrix, the four expert demons, Jack, and Akira’s gazes were focused on the newcomers.

Kira and Hendrix’s eyes flashed in surprise because they recognized the person standing on the lead carriage.

"Him, what is he doing here?" Akira’s breath quickened as well when she saw the person. It was the one who had chased her when she tried to sneak into the Vermilion Kingdom.

She remembered she had barely escaped, and if not for the help of Aina, she would have probably died in that forest.

"Isn’t that the carriage that patrolled the castle?"

"What are they doing here!"

"I heard those things are super fast. Could it be they evaded all the demons back at the capital and got here?"

Whispers broke out amongst the demons and the Order of the Flaming Rose. The four expert demons also became alert because they could feel the youth on the carriage was just as powerful as them.

Inside one of the carriages, there were a few people. Inside was Princess Ria, the Queen, and some soldiers.

"Is this the Cromwell Barony?" The Queen asked with a frown on her face when she saw the situation downstairs.

They had left the royal castle, even sacrificing some soldiers to stall demons while they escaped.

All those lives lost for a town that seemed to be under the control of demons.

A frown appeared on Princess Ria’s face as well. Had she been wrong? Did she make them leave what could have been their only stronghold?

It was at that moment that someone spoke up.

"Your Majesty, Your Highness, you’re mistaken." One of the high-profile soldiers spoke up. "I’m originally from the western region. This is the Armstrong Duchy. The Cromwell Barony is further ahead."

Everyone present let out a collective sigh of relief when they heard this.

Right at that moment, Prince Adrian casually leapt from the roof of the carriage, landing right in the middle of the confrontation.

BANG!

Dust exploded out from the point of contact, forcing demons and humans alike to cover their eyes.

As soon as he appeared, both Hendrix and Kira took fighting stances, looking at him with malice.

"Good, now I can easily tell who is the enemy here." Adrian said. "But before that, I’m looking for someone."

"Who is that?" Jack was the one who spoke, his voice sounding normal once more. "Don’t tell me you’re also looking for Nox as well?"

Adrian turned to Jack and Akira. His gaze lingered on the Valkyrie for a while before shifting to Jack.

He gave a nod. "Yes, he’s the one I’m looking for."

"Dang, just what did he do to you guys? Why is everyone looking for him? First, these two show up to take some revenge or shi like that, and now even you?"

Adrian frowned. "You’re mistaken. I’m not here to fight him or such. I’m here to forge an alliance with him to get rid of these demons from my kingdom."

"Alliance?" Both Jack and Akira’s eyes lit up.

"Yes. From the way you speak, I take it you’re familiar with him. Can you please take me to him?" Adrian asked.

A mischievous smile appeared on Jack’s face when he heard this. "Of course, he’s a close friend of mine. I’ll bring you to him, but..." He paused, looking around. "But we currently have a situation here. If you can help us, then we have a deal."

At that moment, the fleet of golden cannon carriages slowly descended. Every single one of those was filled with hundreds of soldiers.

"Very well then." The Crown Prince nodded as he turned to face both Hendrix and Akira, water blades curling around his body.
