I Am The Only Witch Hunter-Chapter 381: Ashen Fire
Siderius got off the ship at Horla. He bid goodbye to the sailors and continued his journey by foot.
Finding the coven of the witches can be very difficult. Luckily Siderius had already arranged his Spymaster to take care of that problem.
Siderius left Horla shortly after arrival and went into the Rottin Woods. Kraus had a hideout in the woods where he managed the spy network in the South.
Kraus had also reached his third Ocula and was dissolving its psychosis.
The spies under Siderius' also trained in Spirit Art. But they didn't use Knight Code, instead they used Shadow Creed. A similar art that Siderius created that had a similar concept to Knight Code but with entirely different restrictions. This was to ensure the secrecy and flexibility of the spies.
Siderius quickly spotted the small cabin inside the woods. There was an old woodcutter in the front working on his logs.
"How can I help you, stranger?" The woodcutter said.
"Kneel to your lord." Siderius' face changed as he revealed himself.
The woodcutter didn't kneel immediately. He took out a dimming stone on his necklace and let it shine on Siderius. It didn't react.
"Forgive me, my lord. I did not recognize you." The woodcutter knelt.
"It's good for you to be careful. Where is the entrance?"
"It's behind the tree, my lord."
The house was only a decoy. It had no path leading to the secret hideout. The actual entrance was in the opposite tree of the house.
Siderius pulled up a trapdoor that was made to look like the body of the tree. The trunk was hollowed out. Inside of it was a hidden staircase leading underground.
Siderius went inside. His eyes expanded and activated the Dark Vision.
Underneath was a complex stone structure. It was almost similar to a church.
Kraus had a sharp mind in building a loyal dedicated organization. He knew that the facade was very important to achieve that purpose. That was why all the structures of Xander across the kingdom were almost the same as churches.
Dimming Stones were at every corner of the hideout, being decorated on the walls once every step.
Siderius pushed the door open and saw the two guards at the entrance.
They recognized Siderius immediately because of his white hair. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Lord Watcher!" They knelt down immediately.
"Is Lord Spymaster here?" Siderius said.
"Lord Spymaster is inside, my lord!"
Siderius nodded and entered.
Kraus was sitting at his table, writing something. He quickly got up and knelt down before Siderius.
"My lord!"
"Have you found out the location of the Ashen Fire Coven?" Siderius said.
"Our spies managed to discover it, my lord."
Asphalt drank the entire burning mug of beer. It was an orange beer that felt like fire. One of the unique beverages inside the Coven.
"I always knew there was something wrong about that guy. I should have killed him there." Asphalt mumbled.
Her hand exuded heat and caused the beer inside the mug to bubble. Her mug was deep black like charcoal. It was made by some unknown material that could withstand a very high amount of heat.
Sitting at the opposite side of her was a wicca. He had long flowing hair with orange color.
"No one could know, Asphalt. From what I heard, he's a sly bastard. He managed to even fool the Grove in Snowfell."
"Hey! Do not say that name!" Another one in the bar shouted.
"My bad." The orange-haired wicca said. "The traitor land."
Some other witch shook his head, "I don't really understand. Where did the usurper get that much power in such a short amount of time?"
"The people in Snowfell used Spirit Art. It is obvious that Nivalis is a pawn of Everia." Another witch said.
"We don't know for sure. Nivalis does have Spirit Art. But they also have something else. That Alchemy is very similar to magic but not really. And that Witch Hunting power... It almost felt like it was designed to counteract us."
Asphalt grunted. She took a bottle from the shelf and walked back out.
Asphalt had been removed from her position in the Grove because of her connection with Siderius. The Royal Court suspected that she might be related to him in some way shape or form.
The reason for that was because Asphalt let Siderius go once. When he was nothing more than a Baron of Eldoria.
Asphalt kicked the door to her small cottage open. She froze in place.
In her cottage, a dark figure sat against the light. A pair of blood red eyes illuminated.
Asphalt opened her mouth and was about to shout. But a floating sigil in the air already influenced her.
"Psycho-Esturo." Siderius mumbled gently.
He stood up and approached Asphalt. "Come inside."
His voice was low and soft.
Asphalt's body shook as she fought back. But her body was already under Siderius' command. She walked inside and sat down on the bed obediently.
Siderius closed the door to her cottage. He sat down in front of her.
"Long time no see, Fire Witch."
Asphalt's face distorted. Voice trapped in her throat and was unable to get out.
"You can whisper." Siderius said.
"How dare you come into our coven?!" Asphalt wanted to shout but what came out of her were only whispers.
"help! help! help!" She tried to scream but they were only whispers.
Siderius tilted his head slightly. He held her head tight and forced her eyelids to stay open.
"I was planning on asking you nicely. But since you are so uncooperative."
Siderius' red eyes shined brighter as he dug deep into Asphalt's mind. All the information that he needed to know was inside her.
And he could take it easily.
Siderius came here looking for his third skin mutation. And he had found his best candidates.
There were many supernatural beasts or creatures being held inside the Ashen Fire Coven. Most were fire-related creatures.
A phoenix with burning hot feathers.
A fire-touched lion that had a burning fire mane.
A flame fish that lived in magma.
"This phoenix..." Siderius' eyes lit up when he saw that creature. "Phoenix has the best healing regeneration ability. If this is a real phoenix... This one is what I need."
