That night. Nightmare struck the Ashen Fire Coven. Lord Watcher of Nivalis attacked the coven without warning. No one knew when he came and when he left.

They only saw the aftermath of the place. The entire coven was burned to the ground. There was nothing left but ash in the Ashen Fire Coven.

The three magical beasts that they imprisoned were all taken away.

Siderius grafted the phoenix as his third skin mutation. This had given him a new ability.

The other two were carried away by Kraus and his spies.

Eldoria responded right after and launched an attack at Nivalis. But they were fighting an uphill battle. Without the reinforcement of the Tree of Woe, it was impossible for them to overwhelm the soldiers of Nivalis.

Each of them had a Spirit Art. The core power that directly countered witch's influence. And they had Witch Hunter, a physical manifestation of power that made their forces even more fearsome.

The attack was a total failure.

Eldoria kept their forces at their border and constantly exchanged with Nivalis. But they lost their footings.

Everia struck back as well, putting more pressure onto the witch kingdom.

Eldoria shrunk back and defended the remaining territory of theirs.

This gave Nivalis more time to grow. Years went by.

Siderius had gone far and wide on the continent to find the last of his Extima. The Ultimus Extima.

Ultima was named so because it was the final rank of Extima. A witch hunter could graft any outside organ to extend its power.

Siderius chose skin again. He found a mystical shark in Blacklungs with the power to exude electricity through its skin.

The white-haired hunter caught it, killed it, and grafted it. Finishing his Extima.

In these few years, Nivalis grew even more. Alchemist, Witch Hunter, and Knight became the three most prominent professions.

Tanya and Anya had become great Alchemists by their own right. They continued to produce tonics for Santa Roberto and sell them for profits.

The Knight Legion had expanded further and reached 300 men.

Siderius' own force grew to 10,000 men. A respectable army. He could have even more force if he summoned the other nobles.

The four apprentices grew as well. All of them reached the Gold rank in Soul. But there was something else going beneath.

Siderius noticed it quickly. Ashe had awakened her magic power.

She was not a human. She was always a witch. The enlightenment of her soul revealed her true power.

She tried to hide it from Siderius but he found out eventually.

"Please, Master. Don't let me go." Ashe begged.

But Siderius' mind was made. For him, as long as she was a witch, she could never stand on his side.

So he banished Ashe. The four apprentices became three forever.

War raged on even more. A few years went by and when Siderius deemed his own kingdom had had enough strength, he launched a full-scale invasion toward Eldoria.

They succeeded in many operations and took many lands from Eldoria. But Siderius underestimated the ruthlessness of witches.

God Mother. The strongest witch in Eldoria, sacrificed thousands of innocent souls to reach the highest rank in her life.

In the final battle, they fought. Siderius was weaker even though his army was stronger.

Ashe reappeared again and helped him end the fight. She found a new way to harness her magical power.

Because of her Soul Rank, she didn't need to walk the path witches walked. She didn't become a witch. Instead, she had become a Sorceress.

With the help of Ashe, Siderius successfully killed the God Mother and destroyed the Golden Delight. The other Mother Tree inside Eldoria.

The influence of the witches was removed for good. Natural spirits returned to the land. Forest Guardians, Humanity Sentinel, nature spirits were all returned to the barren land that was once Eldoria.

But everything had a cost. Ashe was mortally wounded because of this battle. She didn't tell Siderius however.

She asked him to allow her to serve him one last time like in the past. She helped him put on his armor and took care of his meals for a day.

Then Siderius left. He returned to Nivalis as a hero of the land.

Ashe watched as the man she admired slowly disappeared from her vision.

She fell on her back to a bush behind her. Her body lost all of its strength. She used all her magic to maintain the facade for a day.

"Live well, Masted. I'm sorry… I'm sorry for being a witch."

Ashe shed a tear and closed her eyes forever.

Siderius knew something was wrong but he didn't know what exactly. He returned after a few hours of travelling and saw Ashe laying in the bush.

Another ally had left him. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe there was a way for these witches to redeem themselves.

He just wasn't able to see it.

Siderius squatted down and picked Ashe up. He brought her back to her home town and named the place after her.

Then he left. For the next few decades, Siderius still felt something was missing. He was able to remove the witches and was free to chase his immortality.

But that wasn't enough. Immortality was pointless if all your friends weren't there to see it.

Cael Rohan. Elvyn Shar. Brothers and Sisters of his former life all died.

In this life, the tragedy was going to repeat. It had repeated with Ashe.

"Maybe I was wrong. Maybe there is another way."

Siderius used all his resources to craft another seal. A seal that would be able to send himself back in time to undo everything.

But he wasn't strong enough to power this seal.

That was when the Outsider reappeared.

"I see you're trying to fight Fate, Siderius." The Outsider smiled.

"Are you here to mock me or help me?" Siderius said.

"Neither. I am here because someone wanted to see you."

Behind the Outsider, a portal opened up. Inside was a man with dark hair.

Siderius knew this man. It was a warlock from his past life that he had saved. He used the warlock as an experiment for the universe hopping seal.

"Mater…" Siderius mumbled. "I see you have reached godhood."

"I did, Satterblade. It is a shame to see you fail." The man snickered. "You saved me once. So I am here to return the favor. Have a safe trip. And become a god quickly. We need more gods around here."

The man pushed his hand forward. The Alchemical Seal lit up in power.

"Thank you."

Siderius went inside. He was transported back to where everything had begun. He had a second chance to change everything. To change his fate, Ashe's fate, and the destiny that he had set himself upon.
