Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1447: Unrivaled
Two Rank Four radioactive creatures charged straight toward Sein, but he did not need to worry.
Yuri, piloting the Burning Flame Unit, and Tychus, the Rank Four knight, moved in to intercept them.
Behind them, the Ashen Fortress’ main cannon unleashed a blinding, devastating beam of light.
As the fortress’ lower decks opened, more than a million enslaved creatures surged forth.
The army Sein had brought to Radbow Plane this time included not just Pyrelings and dark creatures, but also around three hundred thousand elite combatants from the Maya Tribe.
These centaurs and minotaurlings represented the finest warriors the tribe had cultivated over the years.
Ordinary cannon fodder no longer held Sein’s interest.
After years of development under the Divine Tower of Ashes and the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring, the Maya Tribe had finally reached the point where they could repay their debt.
The thunder of hooves shook the battlefield as the centaur legions charged ahead.
Their speed far outmatched that of the Pyreling troops advancing below them at lower altitude.
Among the host, two figures drew every gaze—a golden and a silver female centaurs, galloping gracefully through the air.
With Sein’s support, Maya and her granddaughter had both grown tremendously strong over the years.
The divine longbow Maya now wielded was one Sein had crafted for her in his spare time, using the remains of a Rank Four Pyreling as its main material.
Golden light burst from the arrowhead as she drew her bow and aimed toward the advancing centaur legions.
Beside her, Luna, who had matured rapidly and grown especially close to Sein, stood tall. The silver-haired centaur raised her own bow high, radiating a quiet but fierce confidence.
Most centaurs favored bows and arrows as their weapons, while a few of the stronger males preferred javelins, long-handled axes, and other heavy arms.
As the centaur legions charged, several knights flew out from the Ashen Fortress to join the fray.
These knights belonged to House Grantt.
Though House Grantt had long since left the Order of the Steel Fist, that did not mean they would sit out the Clash of Civilizations.
War was the true path of a knight, and only through it could they continue to grow stronger.
Among them were Sein’s own father, Kelman, and his great-grandfather, Julius.
Sein could offer them some protection, but the battlefield was far too dangerous and unpredictable. He could not possibly keep an eye on everyone all of the time.
Before heading out, everyone had already steeled themselves for the worst.
Reina stepped out from the Ashen Fortress, her heavy hammer slung over one shoulder.
Her body had once again reverted into a massive mountain of flesh through deliberate overconsumption.
She already knew from Sein that their next campaign would take them to the star domain surrounding the Grand Eye Demon World, so she had set her goal to take down at least four Rank Three Eye Demons!
Two would be her own kills, and the other two she would slay for Natalya.
Naturally, Sia was also present for this battle.
In all his years back in Magus World, Sein had yet to find a way to awaken Natalya. He had not even been able to reach the Rank Six Phantom Crow King, who seemed to have moved to another battlefield.
After the initial frustration, Sein had learned to accept it. At least Natalya was just resting quietly in her crystal coffin and not in pain.
Her soul still showed no sign of completely fading, and Sein remained confident he would one day find a way to bring her back.
Over a thousand war mages from the Divine Tower of Ashes now assembled into formation, casting area-of-effect spells to provide ranged support for the enslaved legions charging ahead.
The knight legion led by Tychus, along with the forces commanded by two allied deities, launched their own attacks against the defenders of the Radbow Plane.
Just as Sein had declared upon his arrival, this was an all-out assault, giving the rebels of this low-level plane no chance to regroup or catch their breath.
Before the Magus World reinforcements that Sein had brought even engaged the enemy, a crimson pillar of light pierced through the sky!
That single strike changed the course of the entire battle.
Blazing beams of flame burst from the Star Core mounted at the tip of his magic rod. The power of his forbidden-level spell split the ground of the Radbow Plane, leaving a massive fissure in its wake.
The terrifying elemental energy punched through one of the planar nodes, striking directly at its core!
RUMBLE! 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
The ground quaked violently, and the planar will let out a cry of agony.
The concentration of radiation particles across the entire Radbow Plane dropped by a third in an instant.
Searing beams continued assaulting the land, widening the massive fissure.
The two Rank Four radioactive creatures howled with fury and grief. They charged at Sein in a desperate attempt to stop him, but Yuri and Tychus intercepted them before they could even get close.
Just as Sein began channeling even more power, ready to deliver a single, devastating blow to the world itself, a faint crimson beam suddenly shot out from deep within the enemy ranks!
The Rank Four Eye Demon hiding within the Radbow Plane had finally acted.
It was only at most at the middle-stage of Rank Four, but its command over unique laws meant even peak Rank Four beings would hesitate to take it lightly—just as no intelligent creature familiar with the Magus Civilization would ever underestimate a Rank Four mage.
The Grand Eye Demon World had long abandoned physical evolution in favor of their Evil Eye ability that defied normal logic.
Behind his Faceless Mask, Sein let out a cold sneer as the beam of crimson light sliced toward him.
So, this was the Rank Four Eye Demon that had been hiding in the Radbow Plane. As expected, it wielded the laws of light and illusion.
He had hoped it might be one of those rare Eye Demons that commanded more exotic occult powers.
But this one was not even worthy of using its petty tricks against him—not when he had the Faceless Mask on!
Before the crimson beam could reach him, a hexagram array shot out from the Faceless Mask, intercepting it midair.
In that moment, the world-class secret treasure revealed its power!
The Eye Demon’s deadly beam was reflected by the mask’s law power and turned back toward the enemy’s own army instead.
“Watch out, Master Sein!” came the belated warning from Tychus.
The Eye Demons’ stealth and ruthlessness had already caused devastating losses to the Magus Civilization’s elite near the Grand Eye Demon World.
Tychus had been keeping a close watch on the battlefield, but Sein did not need the warning.
He had already deflected the attack with effortless precision, leaving Tychus momentarily speechless.
The Eye Demon’s crimson beam swept across the battlefield, dissolving countless radioactive creatures into pools of acidic sludge.
And still, Sein was not done. While his magic rod still blazed, unleashing scorching pillars of elemental light, he raised it from the planet’s core.
The terrifying forbidden-level magic beams lanced through the skies, cutting through three of Radbow’s planar rings.
The heavily fortified innermost ring split cleanly in half under Sein’s overwhelming magic!
“A Magus World mage whose power rivals Rank Five... He’s really stronger than even Master Barron!” cried the Frost Crystal Silkworm, an allied foreign god fighting in another sector of the battlefield.
