Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 558: Art of seduction
"Ugh, for heaven’s sake. I am your mother first but I am also a woman," she replied before throwing a couch cushion at him.
"I am not listening. Just let it go," he said while glancing into Wen Qinxi’s eyes. Wen Qinxi mouthed, "I love you."
Qie Ranzhe tilted his head slightly and mouthed back, "I love you too." He bit his lower lip with pink bubbles floating all around. He rubbed Wen Qinxi’s foot his heart racing. Everything was back to normal and he really wanted some alone time with his husband. The minute his son woke up, he was going to take his husband somewhere special.

"... I see... so when will he wake up? It’s just... I am worried about him. He looks so pale," said Luo Shih her hand brushing Luo Muchen’s hair.
He was sleeping so peacefully with no care in the world. Sleeping wasn’t actually the right word. He was unconscious and wasn’t waking up. The situation was the same for all the others but Luo Shih couldn’t help but worry. She closed her eyes as her throat was rippled swallowing down her emotions.
Machu swiped his tablet double checking the results before saying, "Everything is normal. His vital signs are normal... Just give it by tomorrow. If he isn’t up I will order further tests," he said and Luo Shih had no choice but to nod.
"I um... I better get going. If there is an emergency just call me any time of the day."
Luo Shih nodded her head and walked over to the door showing him out. Machu exhaled deeply as he walked to the white convertible parked in the estate. Airen was on his phone waiting for him. He stood by the side of the watching her playing games.
"Ready to go... doctor?" she asked without looking up from the phone.
"You!..." he exclaimed while looking back to where he had come from. "So you heard me coming and didn’t say anything. I thought my ninja skills had improved."
Airen chuckled softly. How could he manage to sneak up on him with her training?
"Baby, stop making a fuss and get in. I want to eat dumplings," she said while reaching out to grab his hand. She pulled him close her smile mesmerising.
"Fine but stop playing my game. You aren’t good at it. You are messing up my stats," he said before opening the door and getting into the driver’s seat.
"Oh please... I was a marine for six years and a mercenary for seven. I can play win your silly duck game," she said feeling smug but as though to mock her the little duck failed to jump over the cliff and came tumbling down into the fire.
Airen, "..."
Machu found it funny. He chuckled softly only for Airen to pout her lips calling out, "Husband stop laughing at me," her voice coquettish like she was a delicate young miss.
"Mn, I am sorry. I won’t laugh anymore. Let’s go and I will buy you some ice cream." Airen smiled happily like she had just scammed ice cream out of her sweetheart.
As soon as the car drove out of the estate, a black vehicle drove in. The butler opened the door and before he could kick the visitor out, he rushed past the butler and called out, "Ah-Shih!"
Luo Shih felt goosebumps all over her body when she heard that voice. She pulled the quilt a bit more and straightened it before standing up.
"Chen-er, mum will be right back," she said before closing the door. She didn’t expect a response but she couldn’t help but be hopeful. She walked over to the top of the stairs and glanced down. She gritted her teeth when she saw who it was.
"Get the hell out of my house," she said with a look of contempt in her eyes.
"I just want to see my son. Can’t you let—," he said and Luo Shih sneered. She knew he had been having a hard time keeping his position in the family more especially when his wife was throwing a tantrum due to the lost contracts.
"Get out now while you still can. It is either you walk out of here on your own or in a body bag. The choice is yours," she said clutching the stair rail tightly.
His bitch of a wife had the audacity to blame her even when she had her men bring back Lee Ya intact with no injuries. Now he was running here just to bring her trouble.
"I... I just," he said looking lost and his eyes filled with regret but such scum deserved no sympathy.
She was about to fulfil her word and put him in a body bag when the door was opened and a group of men entered the house. When she saw it was Hei Xiwen she loosened the grip on the staircase rail and turned to leave.
Behind her, there was some commotion but she didn’t turn around. She reached her son’s room and was about to turn the doorknob when her shoulder was grabbed.
She turned around and Hei Xiwen placed his hand on the side of his neck while gently caressing her skin with his thumb.
"You okay?" he asked his head lowered looking into her eyes.
"I am fine...," she said and looked away with a flicker of unreadable emotions in her eyes.
Hei Xiwen lowered his head further and whispered into her ear with the tip of his nose almost rubbing her ear lobe.
"I miss you," he said his voice low and slightly hoarse oozing with seductive charm. If after all this she wasn’t moved then he needed to get his refund from Machu. The legendary man took down the toughest of women and he was the best person to give him advice. It’s just that he hadn’t had time to put the tutorial to practice. Now that he had his chance after camping outside the estate since morning and rushing in to save the beauty at the slightest sign of trouble he couldn’t let that opportunity go.
"What are you do—," she said but her chin was suddenly pinched and she was forced to look at him.
"Did you miss me too?" he said as he pressed his palm against the wall confining her in place.
Luo Shih, "???"
