Chapter 157: I thought you liked Yana

While waiting, Qie Xieling was suddenly approached by two women clad in flowy pink dresses. They didn’t even ask him if they could sit. They just sat there like they had every right to be there.

Qie Xieling was about to say something when a display screen appeared in his sight. Qie Xieling swore internally, fully aware that he had another side mission.

He knew then that he couldn’t chase these women away, neither should he shrug them off. One of them placed her hand on his back, and the other placed her hand on his shoulder while saying, "You must be new in town."

Qie Xieling showed a slight smile while replying, "Yes, I am. Why do you ask?"

One of the girls stroked his long hair and said, "You are so beautiful. Our leader would love to meet you."

"She will treat you very well. Just come to see her tomorrow morning. It will be worth your time."

Qie Xieling wanted to express that he wasn’t a woman, so he would be useless to their leader, but when he read the mission, he found that not only did this so-called leader have a way to kill the goddess Loviatar who was queen Yana’s backing but she also possessed something that could help King Luo ease the pain of having his dragonheart scales cut off.

Qie Xieling wasn’t the one who did it to King Luo, but being that this was his close friend, he couldn’t just ignore this task. He was completely unaware that Luo Muchen was in pain from getting his dragonheart scales cut off. Obviously, he was going to do something about it despite the fact that they were enemies in this game.

"Okay, I will show up tomorrow. Anything I should bring?" he asked, and one of the girls caressed his chin, her eyes beaming. She leaned in forward like she was about to kiss his lips, but she didn’t get close enough.

"Just bring yourself to this place," she said, drawing his attention to the sun tattoo on her wrist. When he glanced at the other girl’s wrist, she also had the same sun tattoo. Just when he was about to ask where he was to meet this mysterious leader, a bowl was harshly placed on the table, and two people and a dragon sat down, glaring at him.

Qie Xieling, "..."

If looks could kill, he would have died a long time ago. Qie Xieling didn’t shy away from their glances and asked, "What?" seeming unconcerned with the death glare.

King Luo glanced at the two gorgeous women getting quite handsy with Eling, and he didn’t like it. He just didn’t think that Eling was the kind of person who would just let anyone touch him.

Qie Xieling had no idea that he had stirred the pot. He was just thinking about what the leader of these women would want from him.

"See you tomorrow, cutie," said one of the girls with a smile while the other caressed his chin. Qie Xieling turned his head and watched them leave.

When he turned his head, the people sitting opposite him were still giving him unsightly gazes. "I thought you liked Yana? You were even willing to betray those closest to you for her. It turns out your heart is fickle," said Yunning and Qie Xieling pulled the bowl of steaming soup toward him while saying, "She tried to kill me, so why should my heart be set on her?"

After saying this, he began to greedily eat the soup and dinner rolls. He didn’t even wait for the three to get their food. He was just trying to find information about the women who approached him, but other than the system assigning it as a side task Qie Xieling had no more information than that.

When the waiter came back with the other three’s meals, he turned to him and said, "Young miss, you have been invited to the maiden sun house. That is the greatest honour one could ever have. I hope you become one of the chosen ones."

Hearing this, Qie Xieling glanced down and recalled he was still disguised as a young woman. Curious, he turned to him and asked, "What is this sun maiden thing? Is it like a guild or something?"

The waiter was more than eager to share. He glanced at his manager, and seeing that he was busy, he lowered his head and said, "Sun maiden is a person. She protects our little town from what is happening outside. Our town is surrounded by a magic array that anyone who has evil intentions won’t even be able to see that there is a small town here. It’s like an invisible town."

Qie Xieling’s brow arched upon hearing this. He wanted to ask more questions, but the waiter was suddenly called away by the manager.

"So what would she want with you? It’s no coincidence that her subjects showed up here and approached you," asked Boran while taking a bite of the gigantic turkey leg.

"That’s not important. What’s important is what she has. She has a way of dealing with the goddess Loviatar ultimately dealing with Yana."

Yunning smiled slightly before saying, "You think I will let you go there alone? What if you end up high tailing after that?"

Qie Xieling pushed away the already empty bowl and said, "Then you can come with, but I doubt men are allowed in this place. It would have to be just you and me."

The thought of what was to happen tomorrow lingered in Qie Xieling’s mind even when he slept. His mind was racing, wondering what task would be awaiting him in the morning.

He couldn’t help but think that maybe he would be expected to go for a dangerous venture, or maybe they would ask him to do something outrageous.

As a result, Qie Xieling couldn’t sleep for a while thinking about tomorrow. This meant when his door was opened in the middle of the night, he heard it. He pretended to be asleep the entire time. Whatever entered his room stopped for a moment as though to make sure the person on the bed was sleeping.

After ten minutes of silence, Qie Xieling felt something tugging at his quilt before slipping underneath. The corner of Qie Xieling’s lips tilted slightly as he felt a warm body curling onto his chest.

He remained still, not wanting to scare away the little dragon that had obviously put its ego aside and came to sleep with him.

Qie Xieling had no idea why the little thing was drawn to him, but it made him feel better. In a place where it was easy to feel lonely, it was good to have company.
