Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 133: "Young master Qie... wakey wakey...
Leong Jinn leaned down with his hands in his pocket observing Qie Xieling who was passed out with his hands and feet bound to the chair. Qie Xieling’s eyelashes flickered like he was about to wake up so Leong Jinn slapped his cheek harshly several times.
"Young master Qie... wakey wakey. It’s been two days already and I can’t fuckin wait," he said and Qie Xieling groggily turned his head away.
His fingers moved before he raised his hand to touch his face. It was at this moment that he realised he was restrained. He sheepishly opened his eyes and gazed down at his wrist in a daze.
The sluggishness in his eyes instantly vanished as he tugged at his arms. The chair clanked with his movements but the situation was hopeless. Panic set in, and he frantically looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings.
"Finally, I thought you would just die in that chair. Welcome, to my humble abode. I have been looking forward to this day for a little over a decade," said Leong Jinn sounding like a showman at a circus welcoming guests.
Qie Xieling’s heart raced as he recognized the voice of his dad’s former mentee, Leong Jinn. After his arrest, Qie Xieling had heard stories about him but other than him not having served his sentence Qie Xieling knew nothing more.
"Where am I?" Qie Xieling asked, trying to control the fear in his voice.
Leong Jinn let out a villainous laugh. "Didn’t I just say it? You are in my humble abode. What? Is it not to the young master’s liking? Well, I suppose it’s definitely not as impressive as your expensive condo." he said, his eyes gleaming in the darkness. "You see you might have forgotten about me but I have been watching you for a while now, Lin Lin. You’re not nearly as smart as your dad and don’t deserve to be his successor. You are in no way close to his IQ yet just like a nepo baby that you are... you get to learn from him."
Qie Xieling’s mind raced his chest heaving rapidly. He had to find a way out of this predicament. He tried to move his arms and legs but found the restraints were thick straps.
His eyes red with anger he demanded, "What do you want from me?" his voice shaking. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Leong Jinn leaned in closer, his face twisted into a sinister grin. "I want you to play my game," he said, gesturing towards the five game capsules with flickering blue lights and floating displays constantly moving.
"You see, Lin Lin, I have improved your dad’s masterpiece as a mentee should and can’t wait to show it off to my mentor... But you see, I need a beta tester, someone who can help me perfect it... Who else would be a better candidate other than yourself?"
"I won’t do it," Qie Xieling said, trying to sound brave. "I won’t be a pawn in your sick game."
Leong Jinn’s grin widened as he touched Qie Xieling’s hair. Qie Xieling dodged and the strands of hair slipped away from Leong Jinn’s fingers.
His eyes darkened as he said, "Oh but, I know you will," his voice dripping with malice. "You see, Lin Lin, I have ways of making you comply. And if you don’t, well, let’s just say that the consequences will be... unpleasant."
Leong Jinn backed up into the darkness and clicked a button on the screen. The room that was dark with the only light shining on Qie Xieling suddenly lit up. Soft buzzing sounds spread across the room as the fluorescent lights turned on. Qie Xieling covered his eyes from the sudden bright lights hurting his eyes.
"You see, you aren’t playing for my amusement but... to save your friends. I took the liberty of kidnapping your best friend over here and your wonderful future wife," he said presenting the gaming capsule with Bo Ailun and the other with Lee Ya.
Qie Xieling’s brow furrowed slightly wondering what the hell this man was talking about. What future wife? How come this person knew he was getting married before he even knew that?
"I also thought it would be more dog blooded and spicy if I threw in the third party in the mix. Your first love, is it? The one you beat your future brother-in-law for," he said and Qie Xieling couldn’t help but wonder where Leong Jinn was getting all his information from. It turns out he was a genius with no EQ at all.
How on earth did he think that there was a love triangle between him, Lee Ya and Bi Yu?
"Interesting right? Well, I would like to think so especially with a betrayal plot and you getting to suffer the feeling of being shunned by your close friends," he said before walking towards Qie Xieling.
"It won’t take long till my parents find us. Your plan will fail," he said and Leong Jinn’s grin faded, replaced by a look of cold fury.
"You think I don’t know about the microchips your parents inserted in you? I already dug those things out and threw them into the sea," he said, untying the thick straps.
Qie Xieling planned to struggle once he was untied but he suddenly felt coldness on his back and froze. He felt a cold chill run down his spine.
Leong Jinn leaned in close and said, "I suggested you put away your thoughts otherwise I will end your life here."
Qie Xieling swallowed his saliva his forehead covered in sweat. Leong Jinn painfully grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him up before tossing him into the open capsule that was a little different from the others.
"Stay still otherwise I might accidentally stab you somewhere fatal," he continued to say after binding Qie Xieling to the gaming capsule.
Qie Xieling subconsciously glanced at Luo Muchen lying in the gaming capsule beside his and suddenly felt a lump on his chest. Why didn’t Luo Muchen have to come back? If he didn’t make this trip he would most definitely not be in the same unfortunate predicament as he was in.
Qie Xieling clenched his fist his fierce gaze turning towards Leong Jinn. Leong Jinn saw his burning gaze and snorted. He found it amusing when Qie Xieling groaned in pain after six small needles pierced the back of his neck attaching to his cervical spine.
"Glare at me like that again and I will make it even more painful for you," said Leong Jinn while connecting cables to the back of the gaming capsule.
Having recalled something he suddenly grabbed the edge of the gaming capsule near where Qie Xieling’s face was. "I forgot to mention that this isn’t a game. Well, it is a game but it isn’t exactly a game... What I am trying to say is that if you fuckin die you die for real. Cool, right? It’s to up the risk and make it more thrilling than what teacher Wen created. My game is like a virtual world with all the risks in real life so take note," he said with a menacing laugh.
"Are you fuckin kidding me? Leong Jinn you are a maniac," yelled Qie Xieling while twisting his wrists trying to judge the feasibility of breaking out of the restraints.
Leong Jinn tapped his temple with the muzzle of the gun while saying, "Why thank you. That’s what I was going for. Now brace yourself because this is going to be painful... just a little bit."
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH," screamed Qie Xieling from the excruciating pain. What little pain? It was as though his nerves were set alight by a fire burning from within.
