Chapter 335: In A Frenzy

Black lines began appearing in Logan’s eyes, spreading like cursed veins. They deepened with every passing second until both of his eyes turned completely pitch black. Dark, smoke-like energy curled around his body like living shadows.

Slowly, Logan rose to his feet, straightening his back. The aura around him swelled violently, growing heavier with each passing moment — so oppressive that the air itself seemed to suffocate.

Rudeous, Rowan, Lilith, and Daliah all struggled to breathe beneath the crushing pressure. "Logan... stop..." Rowan said with great difficulty. "You’re going to harm us too."

But Logan did not even look at him. It was as if he couldn’t hear a single word. He slowly straightened both of his palms.

His own sword lifted from the ground and flew straight into one hand. At the same time, another blade, a fallen enemy’s weapon rose from the battlefield and rushed into his other hand.

Then Logan began to walk forward.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

His footsteps echoed across the battlefield like the tolling of a divine bell.

The dark aura around him twisted violently. Logan suddenly drew both arms inward across his body, forming a tight cross with the blades.

For a brief moment...

Everything went silent.

And then...

Slash!

Logan swung both arms outward in a single swift motion. The blades carved through the air in a perfect crossing arc.

Two crescents of black energy burst forward, forming a massive X. The attack expanded rapidly as it traveled.

Anyone who stood in its path was erased the instant the dark crescents touched them. Bodies were torn apart. Blood exploded into the air. The battlefield split open as the cross-shaped wave of destruction continued forward like the judgment of a dark god.

The battle inside Logan’s subconscious resumed.

A monster charged toward him.

Slash!

With a single swift stroke, Logan’s blade cut through the air. The creature’s skull split cleanly in half before its body collapsed to the ground.

A metallic giant roared and swung its colossal sword horizontally.

Logan flipped into the air, effortlessly dodging the massive blade. The next moment, one of his feet landed lightly on the giant’s sword before launching himself forward, shooting straight toward the giant’s head.

While still midair, Logan hurled both of his swords outward.

What happened next stunned everyone present. Not just the enemies, even the allies watching from afar.

Rudeous’s eyes widened in disbelief. Daliah and Lilith stood frozen, their mouths slightly open. If they had been real, the shock would have been even greater.

Logan closed the distance in an instant.

Reaching the giant’s face, he slammed his palm against it. His fingers curled slightly as the metal beneath his hand cracked and dented.

And then...

Boom!

A thunderous explosion echoed across the battlefield as Logan drove the giant’s head straight into the ground. Dust and debris erupted outward.

The shockwave swept through the battlefield, throwing countless enemies — short humans, beasts, and monsters into the air.

A massive crater formed where the giant fell, its head and half of its body buried deep within the earth.

Logan leapt out of the crater and landed smoothly on solid ground. At that very moment, the two swords he had thrown earlier came flying back toward him.

On their return path, they carved through the battlefield like reaping scythes, slaughtering hundreds of enemies.

When Logan caught their hilts, blood dripped slowly from the blades, hissing as it touched the ground.

Logan blurred forward.

Five more weapons shot through the air alongside him like streaks of light — a colossal sword, two ordinary blades, a double-headed axe, and a spear.

Logan himself moved like a black streak of lightning across the battlefield, twin swords flashing in his hands. Wherever that dark streak passed, blood splattered, bodies collapsed, and screams echoed across the chaos.

The five weapons stormed through the battlefield with him, moving as if guided by an invisible will.

Wherever the colossal sword swept through the air, enemies perished like flies. Its massive blade, blazing with fire energy, cleaved through them like tofu.

The two swords moved like twin predators. One blade roared with crackling lightning, while the other exhaled a chilling frost mist. Together they carved through enemy after enemy without pause.

The double-headed axe pulsed with heavy gravity magic. Its weight had increased a hundredfold, and every swing crushed metallic giants to the ground, smashing their massive bodies into the earth with terrifying force.

Meanwhile, the spear danced across the battlefield like a streak of wind. Fueled by air magic, it darted back and forth, piercing through one enemy after another with deadly precision.

Slowly, the swarm began to thin out. After seven days of relentless fighting, the tide no longer looked endless.

Enemies were still spawning, but the speed at which Logan slaughtered them far exceeded their numbers.

The more he killed, the more intense the black aura around him became.

Logan hurled his sword toward a giant. The blade pierced through its metallic body with ease, continuing forward to impale ten more enemies before finally curving back and returning to his hand.

At this point, Logan looked like a true war god — unstoppable and merciless.

"He has done it, hasn’t he?" Zola finally spoke as he stood over Logan’s seated body.

"Yes," the female voice replied. "He has honed his killing intent and passed the trial. But..."

"But he’s in a frenzy now," Zola finished for her. "And simply stopping the trial won’t help him snap out of it."

"Yes," the female voice confirmed.

Zola let out a quiet breath. "It’s easy," he said calmly. "Just bring his mother back. Come on now... it’s not like she really died."

Back on the battlefield outside the Chong Family estate, the fighting had come to a sudden halt.

Min Chong stood there, staring toward the darkening sky in the northwest. "What the hell is happening over there?" he muttered.

Lightning suddenly crackled across the clouds, followed by a deafening rumble of thunder.

In that instant, something clicked in Min Chong’s mind. ’No... don’t tell me... Shit.’

He snapped his head toward the others.

"Everyone! To the northwest — now!"

His voice roared across the battlefield like a command that brooked no delay.
