Reincarnated as a Flower, Fine then I'll bloom my own way-Chapter 42 - 40: This Thing I Call Life
Chapter 42: Chapter 40: This Thing I Call Life
"They call me a god, but not because they understand me—only because they fear what they cannot comprehend. They worship not out of love, but out of fear. And in their fear, they create their own gods, molding them from whispers and shadows, turning the unknown into something divine. But tell me... what is a god, really? Is it someone with power? If so, then power alone makes no god—only a ruler. A king demands loyalty, but a god... a god is given it freely. And that is what makes gods far more dangerous than kings.
"They believe in me not because of what I am, but because they need to. It is not faith—it is desperation. They cannot accept a world where something greater does not exist, so they give it form. And I? I simply became the result of their hopes, their fears, and their ignorance. To be called a god is not an honor—it is a cage, a throne built from expectations and chains of devotion. One day, they will bow before me. The next, they will curse my name. That is the nature of those who blindly worship what they do not understand.
"And those who sit on their thrones, the ones who rule through words and ranks, they believe that their titles make them powerful. But strength is not given—it is earned, forged in struggle, and proven in battle. Their authority is a fragile illusion, a mere structure that crumbles the moment the world no longer chooses to obey..."
I appeared in a land where it was dark. The buildings were destroyed, and there were no people. (Darkon Kingdom after war.)
[Why did you lie to them?] Aries suddenly spoke in my mind.
(Oh... well, I thought I should keep the evolving thing secret from others...) I replied.
[Any reason for that?] Aries asked again.
(...I don't know, but I just feel like it...) I replied.
[So then, are you ready to evolve?] Aries asked.
I smiled slightly and replied—
"Yes."
Suddenly, my body started to glow green. My entire skin changed to green, and vines emerged from the ground, covering my body as they began shrinking around me. Then, I transformed—
A white flower bloomed on top, and a long, thick stem connected me to the earth.
[Transformed to Flower Form]
[Starting the process of evolution]
Sharp, spiky vines rose from the ground, surrounding me. The earth itself formed walls, dust and rock pillars rising to shield me.
[Activating Sleep Mode]
After that, I lost consciousness and fell into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, inside the Church of Paradise, Lunara gasped in shock. Her eyes widened as she clutched an orange on a plate, which fell from her hands and landed on the floor with a dull thud.
Jekkob, Aurthor, Yooto, and Gearor were sitting nearby. They all sensed something—something overwhelming—and gasped in shock.
"Wha-what was that?" Gearor asked in confusion.
"I don't know," Aurthor replied.
But as they turned to look at Lunara... she had tears in her eyes, her entire body trembling. She started sobbing.
"W-what happened, Miss Lunara?!" Yooto asked, concerned.
Lunara fell to her knees, her voice heavy with despair.
"I... I... I can't sense Master's connection with me..."
Their expressions froze in shock.
"W-what?" Bokkon's voice was filled with disbelief and horror.
(Lady Sumi! Lady Sumi!) Yooto screamed in his mind, trying to establish a connection.
"I... I can't use telepathy with you guys..." Gearor said from the side, his voice grim.
They were now all in shock and confusion.
"The only way to break... a connection between a Master and Servant is..." Aurthor spoke, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Either both sides agree to break the bond... or... one of them... d-dies..." Gearor completed the sentence.
Lunara grabbed her face in disbelief, shaking her head violently.
"No... no... no... no... no... no...!"
Then, she let out a soul-shattering scream—
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
They all fell silent, frozen in disbelief.
"How can..." Bokkon tried to speak, his voice shaking with fear.
---
"Where am I...?" I muttered, standing in the middle of nothingness.
I looked around—only darkness. No land, no sky, no anything. Just... a void.
I turned my head, sensing something behind me.
It was a girl.
No... it was me.
My past self.
I stared at her, my eyes wide in shock. Slowly, I stepped toward her. Her face was hidden in shadow, her body motionless, standing there silently.
"Why are you doing this?" my past self suddenly spoke.
"Why...?" I echoed in confusion.
"Is this making you happy?" she asked again.
"W...what do you mean..." I asked, still confused.
"Isn't this what we wished for?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"Wish? What wish?" she asked.
I raised my voice.
"This! Wasn't it our wish to live with the people we love...? To come out of loneliness...? To have someone to share our pain with? Wasn't this our wish... to have friends?"
She stood there silently for a moment before speaking again.
"That was my wish... not yours."

I froze.
"What is your wish?" she asked.
I was stunned. I didn't know what to say.
She continued,
"Look at yourself. You're not the same anymore. Are you lonely? Are you weak? Do you have any reason to kill yourself?"
My eyes widened in shock. Then she speaks again
"And these people you call friends... have you shared your pain with them? Have you talked to them about how much you've suffered? No, right? Because how can a god talk about her pain with mere humans and demi-humans, right?"
I slowly looked down.
She continued,
"You are just like a child attached to a toy. And when you lose one of them... you get angry and frustrated."
I stood there, trembling, silent.
Then she spoke once more—
"Hey... tell me... what is this thing you call Life?"
A bright flash of light blinded my vision, and in an echoed voice, she whispered—
"Don't live as me... live as yourself."
---
Everything went dark.
Then, slowly, my consciousness returned.
I opened my eyes.
Above me was rock covering me then it started—cracking, breaking apart.
I slowly stood up from inside it.
I was completely naked.
Everything around me was shrouded in a dark fog, broken buildings standing like forgotten ruins.
I stepped forward. My long white hair fell over my face as I took slow, silent steps.
Then, Aries voice echoed in my mind.
[Notice... Evolution Successful]
[Evolved into "True Veromu"]
Suddenly, my body started glowing.
A pitch-black coat and skirt appeared on my body.
I lifted my head—
And opened my glowing 'red eyes'
