Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance-Chapter 50. Monster Tide [3]: Absorbing New Skills.
Ray moved along the northern line where a section of the barricade buckled under the weight of a dozen goblins pressing it simultaneously.
Ray activated his <<Berserker’s Rage>> skill and he grabbed two or three Goblins together, slamming their skulls against each other, pulling their heads and spine out of their bodies while also punching through anyone that tried to escape.
Ray’s brutal battles terrified the rest of the villagers standing close to him, but no one was complaining because with him there, they were really winning against the monsters.
Ray’s presence helped in lifting up the mood of the fighters and everyone yelled as they pushed the monsters back.
Meanwhile, at the eastern part of the village, Mira was currently occupied with the monsters that had gathered here.
Her spear movement had really improved a lot and the girls behind her followed her every lead.
Forty minutes later, a forest slime alpha forced its way through the western part of the gate.
The creature was massive and it was three meters tall.
Its body was translucent and it was leaking a very corrosive fluid.
It had already dissolved through two sections of the rope barriers and it was moving toward the village buildings in front of it with a slow and sluggish momentum.
The villagers that came across it didn’t dared to intercept it because of its deadly skill but Ray swiftly intercepted it before it could reach the first house.
The creature had no eyes, no ears and no conventional sense, but it could detect prey through vibration and heat, so Ray circled it carefully before releasing a fire bolt straight into its outer membrane and it burned through.
The creature shuddered and contracted but Ray used his <<Void Step>> ability to appear in front of it before driving his Frost blade sword straight into its core and twisting it.
The forest slime alpha dissolved from the inside out and Ray felt a soothing warmth spreading across his body as a screen popped up in front of him.

Ray wiped off the slime goo from his blade before moving back to the northern line.
The next hour was a lot harder than the first.
Thankfully, the wolves, goblins and other small creatures storming into the village were reducing by the second, but Ray and everyone else suddenly heard something loud moving through the forest as though a boulder was rolling down a hill.
Looking closely, it was actually three monsters and they were stone golems.
Each golem was about three meters tall and their bodies looked like it had assembled from compacted rock, allowing it to move very slow.
Naturally, these three weren’t monsters in the conventional sense unlike the wolves, goblins and several others, but the golems were equally afraid of the orcs like the rest, not because the orcs could eat them, but because the orcs had the strength to easily destroy them.
A single orc was a really terrifying creature when it was starving, so the moment the golems knew an orc had emerged in the forest, they set out to help the goblins and Hobgoblins in feeding the orc King, and that means getting whatever they can find in the human settlement nearby.
The three golems hit the northern barricade and walked through it.
The wooden barricade splintered and the stakes snapped instantly.
Within a matter of seconds, a fifteen-meter section of the barricade ceased to exist as three tons of animated rock moved through it without slowing down.
The villagers who had been manning that section instantly scattered with a middle-aged man screaming. "Fall back!!!"
"Everyone fall back to your secondary position!!" The man’s voice cut through the noise and everyone assumed their secondary positions instantly.
Their secondary positions were actually the buildings themselves.
They positioned themselves between doorways and alleys which naturally helped the villagers to funnel the monsters, making it easier for them to kill as more monsters fell into the traps of the villagers.
Meanwhile, Ray was now facing the first Stone golem alone.
Looking closely, the golem was enormous up close and it raised one arm which was large as a tree, before slamming it down at Ray.
Ray activated his <<Void Step>> skill and appeared behind the golem before activating his <<Power Strike>> skill as he slashed at the golem.
His blade rang against the stone surface and it really didn’t cause any damage aside from a small chip on the golem’s body.
’Fuck. I forgot swords don’t work on these things.’ Ray had never really battled against a golem before.
He had watched the elite warrior’s party fought against one in his previous life but he had never really participated in the battles with them.
However, it wasn’t until he try slashing the monster, that he really recalled that swords do not easily work against golems.
Ray swiftly sheathed his blade before raising his left hand, then he activated <<Fire bolt>> and the flame hit the golem’s midsection and cracked a part of the golem’s body.
Ray noticed the hairline fracture that appeared across the golem’s torso, then he fired a second fire bolt straight at the same spot.
The crack widened and the golem turned toward him but Ray kept firing the same fracture until the sixth bolt separated the golem’s torso.
The upper half toppled while the lower half continued to move for three more steps before it recognized the damage that had been done to it.
Ray swiftly approached the golem’s core, then he pierced his sword into the core and a fresh warm feeling coursed through his body with a new screen appearing before him.
