Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 820 - 822: Should I Call You Sophie Sullivan or Cecilia Branford?
"Reporting to the Young Master, the maniac is in the bedroom upstairs," the servant replied shakily.
Thomas Shannon hurried upstairs and forcefully pushed open the bedroom door.
The force was so great that the door panel slammed into the wall with a loud noise.
The bang startled Sophie Sullivan and Gaby on the balcony.
Gaby stood up and walked toward Thomas Shannon, while Thomas Shannon, without looking away, stared at the figure sitting on the balcony and asked in a cold, deep voice, "Who did you see today?"
Sophie Sullivan found it amusing. Didn’t he already know whom she’d seen? Those men in black were all his eyes.
She feared that as soon as she left the manor, the men in black had already passed the message to his ears.
It seemed rather ridiculous to come questioning now.
"Sophie Sullivan, I’m asking you a question."
The man’s sinister voice came from behind.
Sophie Sullivan finally moved her stiff neck. She turned her head and looked at Thomas Shannon, who wore a face of anger, "Why are you so angry?"
Why?
Why did she have the nerve to ask him why?
Thomas Shannon extended his hand, the big palm forcefully pinching her chin, forcing her to stand up and look at him, "Didn’t I warn you to stay away from Lillian Spencer? Did you take my words as if they were just the wind in your ears?"
"Thomas Shannon, tell me, why are people’s hearts so complicated?"
Sophie Sullivan didn’t answer but instead asked back, her blurry eyes fixated on his extremely sinister cold eyes.
Thomas Shannon’s eyes flickered slightly, his thin lips tightly pressed, "I’m asking you a question, don’t change the subject! Tell me, why did you go to see Lillian Spencer?"
"Thomas Shannon, what are you so afraid of with me contacting Lillian Spencer?"
Sophie Sullivan nodded to herself, "Are you afraid she’ll tell me something you don’t want me to know?"
"What did she tell you?"
Remembering Lillian Spencer’s words, Thomas Shannon’s handsome face was as icy as a glacier, chilling to the bone.
Sophie Sullivan didn’t want to argue with him; the things she wanted to know didn’t have to come from others’ mouths.
Lucifer had already sent people to investigate; it wouldn’t take long before she’d find out whom Raina Bell truly resembled.
"Speak!" Thomas Shannon’s blue vein throbbed at his forehead, and he growled in a low voice.
Sophie Sullivan looked at him calmly and sneered.
"Should I call you Sophie Sullivan or Cecilia Branford?" Thomas Shannon’s cold voice squeezed through his teeth, "Exactly what did Lillian Spencer tell you?"
"Thomas Shannon, what are you really nervous about?"
Sophie Sullivan just found it laughable; she believed Lillian Spencer wanted to drive a wedge between her and Thomas Shannon, but Thomas Shannon’s current behavior made her start to doubt whether what she initially believed was mistaken.
Thomas Shannon was stunned, his face remaining cold and deep as a glacier, looking at her so indifferently.
"Lillian Spencer didn’t say anything; she just found out about my background."
"Just found out about your background?"
Thomas Shannon released his hand, and the numbing soreness in Sophie Sullivan’s cheek finally eased.
She rubbed her face, turned, and looked at the sky gradually darkening, "If you don’t believe me, is there something else you’re hiding from me?"
Thomas Shannon snorted, paused, then added, "Lillian Spencer is not a good person, stay away from her. If she bothers you again, tell me, and I’ll deal with it."
Bothers?
Sophie Sullivan just smiled without a word.
If it were really as she said, then he truly misunderstood her.
Thomas Shannon coughed lightly in discomfort, "I have other matters to attend to, have dinner by yourself."
