Ranon’s mouth opened and hit the ground in disbelief. Lana forgot all about her nausea and turned to face Fownso as if he were an angel of glad tidings.

Her hands clamped on her mouth as mountains of emotions pressed her down. Happy tears pooled in her beautiful eyes.

"A—are you certain?" She stuttered.

"I have never been wrong," he said, matter of factly, giving the bewildered couple a kind smile.

Cassandra watched with wide eyes, the words seemed to have stolen her breath away.

Ranon pulled Lana into his embrace as their foreheads connected and they shared a private moment. Tears were freely streaming down Lana’s face, she had waited so long for this moment. Ranon slowly brushed them away while holding her by the waist.

Cassandra stayed quiet for now, letting them have this moment while Healer Fownso offered precautions and advice.

"Take it slow in the beginning, it’s formative time for your young one. No shifting or hunting. I will give you a potion for nausea."

They both nodded, taking his advice seriously. Fownso took his leave while Cassandra stepped closer to them and gently said.

Cassandra lowered herself and placed one hand on Lana and the other on Ranon’s shoulder.

They both watched her with gratitude-filled eyes while Cassandra heartily smiled at them.

"We appreciate you, Nissa and I wish we could do something about the curse," Ranon answered, guilt plagued his heart.

"Don’t fret on that matter, Ranon. This moment is meant for you and your mate to rejoice, guilt-free." Cassandra kept her smile going so they wouldn’t be smothered or feel any kind of guilt in this moment of rejoicing.

Cassandra decided to leave so the couple could have privacy, but the door opened, and in walked Siroos, filling the chamber with his sandy sage scent.

He had previously taken permission from Ranon to enter through the mind link as Ranon had informed him of the glad tidings.

Cassandra stiffened, the previous night began to flash in front of her eyes.

"Lana, how are you feeling?" His voice dipped in deep concern sounded from behind Cassandra and she could feel his heat even without him having touched her.

"Alpha!" She tried to get up with her eyes downcast, but Siroos gestured for her to keep sitting and to stay with her mate.

Cassandra, on the other hand, stood up and took a step back.

"I am better now," Lana answered with a smile that showed how thrilled she was with the news.

"Congratulations on starting this new phase of life. No one deserves a child more than you two." Siroos said with a light grin flickering on his lips.

The fact that Cassandra was with them before him swelled his heart in pride. His arm reached out and elegantly wrapped around Cassandra’s waist and he pulled her beside him, where she belonged. It was like smashing into a boulder.

A low whimper that escaped her when their bodies collided wasn’t missed by Siroos, a cunning smile tipped his lips.

"You honour us, both of you and we are blessed to serve you," Ranon answered, rubbing his mate’s back while his other hand held her belly. She was leaning onto him, finding solace.

"It’s your primary duty now to take care of your mate, you mustn’t lack in it. Hand over excessive duties to Faris and Ames. Faris dawdles all day, he will have something to do." Siroos passed his instructions while his fingertips grazed Cassandra’s belly, making this itch to be birthed inside her where she wished for his touch to be on her naked flesh.

Cassandra watched with utter satisfaction; the happiness she was experiencing was beyond anything, and she knew her sacrifice was worth it.

While the three of them shared this moment, Siroos took this opportunity to place a kiss on her head and profoundly whisper.

"I appreciate your words, Siro." She finally leaned into him, placing her head on his shoulder. Siroos greedily watched her before tearing his eyes away and announcing.

"Today, we will hold a banquet to celebrate this wonderful piece of news. I will inform Mother and the Elders. Tonight we celebrate because I have heard from Healer Fownso that other females have been blessed as well."

"Yahhh! All drinks are on me tonight," Faris triumphantly shouted, pumping the air.

Laughter filled the chamber as they rejoiced in the blessed news.

Siroos and Cassandra shortened training and focused on the feast for the night. Ara took up responsibilities instead of Lana as numerous foods were making her nauseous. Lana was asked to not cook and get rest.

The feast began at night and the whole pack rejoiced in the grand news. While the pack feasted and celebrated, Walan made his way to the dungeon where Kela was being held with an evil and revengeful smile on his face.
