Primordial God Of Time-Chapter 43: War Begins...
Chapter 43: War Begins...
Hearing Grandpa Ju’s words, Ming was stunned. She stared at Kranos with wide eyes.
"You mean..." She pointed at him in shock, memories flashing in her mind. She still remembered the saviors who had brought the path of cultivation to their world.
The way she looked at Kranos instantly changed. Previously, she had considered him a regular youth, but now she realized—anyone not from this world was anything but ordinary. Kranos remained calm on the surface, but inside, he didn’t appreciate the old man revealing his identity without permission.
At this moment, before they could continue talking, they saw another old man approach them, this man’s name was ko. Seeing Ming and Ju, he nodded at them, smiling faintly. He looked like a natural old man, but unlike Ming and Ju, he didn’t seem to be one step into the grave.
"Ko, your cultivation seems to have improved in recent years," Grandpa Ju said with a smile.
Ko nodded, "Old man, don’t lump me in with the rest of you. My cultivation talent was always the best among us all," he said proudly. He glanced briefly at Kranos, clearly surprised, but didn’t press the matter.
"What’s the plan? How do we deal with the beast?" Ko asked directly, his expression intense, burning with the desire for battle.
Ming stepped forward. "I’ve been preparing for this. In recent years, I predicted this beast would return for revenge, so I created a formation—a killing array. The Five Elements Killing Array. At its peak, it can even slay Monarch-level cultivators."
Kranos and the others were stunned, of course, they understood what it meant to slay a Monarch.
Qi Condensation... Foundation Establishment... Golden Core... Dao Palace... then Monarch! To think the array that Ming came up with could slay a cultivator of that level.
"But," Ming continued, "the materials to set up the array are incomplete, but it should be enough to deal with the demon," she said with confidence, causing the others’ eyes to light up.
Hearing her words, Kranos breathed out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, they could overcome this crisis this time! He just hoped everything worked out fine. Then Ming proceeded to tell them how to set up the array.
"The original array requires five Dao Palace experts to anchor the core and wield each element to be able to slay a Monarch-level expert but..." she paused. "Naturally... we don’t have that,"
They could all understand what she was trying to say, they didn’t have any Dao Palace realm expert, and the only Dao Palace realm expert was the creature they were trying to kill.
"Luckily, I’ve developed a weakened version," she continued. "It requires two Golden Core experts and ten Foundation Establishment cultivators."
"Are you sure this will work?" ko asked with a frown,
"I’ve cross-checked the blueprints, it should work. Besides, what other option do we have? If we don’t take this shot now, we might never get the chance again. Maybe we can finally get to avenge Tu and the others," Ming replied through gritted teeth. She seemed as though at any moment she wanted to rip apart the demon.
Kranos nodded in agreement, he felt that the plan might work. If they could slay the beast, that would be for the best. They then proceeded for the foundation establishment realm experts to come. After they came, the ones that would represent the eye of the array were selected.
Thump, thump thump...
The sound of the horde of beasts galloping was getting closer; Ming and the others immediately began setting up the array. From the distance of the sound they could tell that the beast horde was near.
...
Time passed and soon the array was set; the beast horde had also stably reached the safe haven. Ming and Ko took their positions at the heart of the array, holding elemental rods in their hands, since they wanted the attacking power of the five elements array to be at its greatest. the formation mainly comprised lightning and fire element warriors, with some being metal warriors.
Grandpa Ju wanted to be part of the array, but Ming decided against it, stating that he should lead the battle against the beast horde while they deal with the main beast. Kranos stood by the side watching everything. This was going to be his first war, he felt tense about it.
CalMing his nerves, Eternal hunger appeared in Kranos’s hand.
ROARRRR!
HISSSSS!
SHHHHHHH!
Different twisted noises resounded from the beasts as they reached the barrier. They didn’t pause for a moment and immediately lunged straight at the barrier, aiMing to tear it down and flatten the city.
Kranos took a deep breath and the next moment his figure blurred and reappeared on the battlefield.
"Fight!" raising up his walking stick, which seemed to have transformed into a long spear, Grandpa Ju pointed at the battlefield and shouted.
"Fight!" freeweɓnøvel.com
"We fight to the death!!" the hundred-strong group of warriors roared back, their morale igniting like wildfire.
Kranos locked eyes with a grotesque creature that looked like a werewolf but had been corrupted; it now exuded a black aura leaked from its skin, and six writhing tentacles protruded from its back like demonic tails.
SLASH!
Kranos appeared behind the beast, his sword flashed rapidly, creating a sonic boom as though it were cutting through air. In an instant it cleaved the head of the beast in two.
Kranos immediately moved his sword in rapid succession, slicing the beast into countless pieces. His figure flashed onto another corrupted human-like figure; his sword moved rapidly once again, not giving him a chance to react, and he soon decapitated the beast’s head.
Soon Kranos had killed almost a hundred foundation establishment beasts. At this moment some higher-tier corrupted creatures with intelligence had started taking note of them; with a swoosh, one at the middle stages of the foundation establishment realm rapidly approached Kranos.
Kranos had just finished slaying another beast when he sensed danger approaching from the right. Without hesitation, he vanished, using space flash just before the attac struck.
