"Something is really wrong." Lala whispered, pressing her cheek against Coco’s cheek.

Coco’s hair danced behind her as she moved through the trees like a graceful acrobat, her body moving with effortless ease as she jumped from branch to branch, her movements were fluid and precise, her limbs moving in a way that was almost birdlike.

She darted through the branches, her gaze glued to the floating quest scroll as she weaved through the trees.

Each jump and leap was executed with perfect timing, her feet barely brushing the branches beneath her as she moved with uncanny grace.

"He can hear." Coco mumbled, shifting her eyes away from the scroll to look ahead of her.

Lala was quick to shut her mouth, pressing a hand on her lips, with her eyes wide in fright as she brought her knees to her chest and nuzzled herself closer to Coco’s cheek.

The scroll that has the quest written on it rolled itself, alarming Coco, and another one appeared with a quill appearing with a puff of smoke, floating beside the brown parchment.

Coco stopped on a branch, her eyes glued to the glowing quest scroll in front of her.

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, crouching low on the branch as she reached out to the scroll, pulling it closer to her face so she could read whatever’s written in it.

Why didn’t I hear the notification go off in my head? Coco asked, her fingers clutching the paper tightly.

Coco raised an eyebrow as she read through the content of the scroll, she let go of the parchment and stood up from her crouching position.

"This is like a trial for youtube premium, but instead of pressing anything, I have to sign it." Coco commented, reaching out for the floating quill and grasping it, her fingers closing around it with a firm grip.

She moved the quill over to the quest scroll, her gaze fixed on the floating text.

With careful roll of her wrist, she signed her name and signature on the scroll, her hand moving with practiced ease,

the ink flowing from the pen in smooth, curving lines.

The scroll shimmered as her signature was confirmed, ink drying instantly on the parchment as the quest brown paper disappeared in a flash of blue light, vanishing right before her eyes.

The quill disappeared from her hand, making her flinch out of surprise as she stood there for a moment.

Coco lowered her arm, the tension draining from her body as she let out a sigh through her nose, the sense of dread still settled on the bottom of her stomach.

The garden fairy flew off Coco’s shoulder and went high on another tree branch, catching Coco’s attention.

Wordlessly, Coco followed after the fairy and climbed higher into the tree, the branch under her bending slightly under her weight.

Lala looked down at her and that was when Coco noticed the small scroll in front of Lala’s face, her red eyes twinkling with worry.

She casted one last look on Coco before she turned away and continued flying higher to the tree.

Coco’s eyebrows furrowed and continued to follow after the garden fairy even though she didn’t know where Lala wanted to go, her movements still didn’t falter.

The leaves whispered as Coco passed by them, rustling softly as if welcoming her presence.

She paused for a moment after climbing another branch and looked around to check how high up she was, the sounds of the forest becoming more distant.

She could see Alithe and the guards meters away from the tree she was on.

Sighing through her nose, she continued to ascend towards the top of the tree, her eyes landing on where the garden fairy stopped.

The branches grew thinner and more brittle as she moved higher, the sound of snapping twigs the only sound apart from her breathing, her movements becoming more careful with each ascension.

Finally, she reached the highest branch, her feet finding purchase on the slender limb with ease, and stood tall and steady, the ground far below her.

"Is everything oka.."

Ding!

Coco’s words died in her throat when a familiar sound echoed in her mind, a scroll shimmered into existence before her eyes, her gaze immediately fixed on the glowing words in the paper.

As Coco read the content of the scroll, she suddenly felt something dangerous lurking from a distance, a cold feeling creeping over her spine.

Her head snapped up to look at where she could feel the ominous feeling, her heart began to pound in her chest as her instincts kicked in, the hair on the back of her neck standing up.

She slowly turned her head, left and right, her gaze sweeping across the treeline as she searched for the source of the danger.

She looked back to the scroll, eyes reading the words written on the surface.

[Activating passive skills, [Nullification] and [Resistance], that comes from [Purification] to cancel the effects of (Poison Fumes) and (Haze).]

Then, she suddenly felt dizzy.

Coco’s surroundings began to blur and fade, the edges of her vision clouding with a thick fog.
