Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 176 - One Hundred And Seventy-Six:The Prophecy Has Changed.
Marya sat outside on a seat in the foyer, her eyes were out of the road with the hope that Nelson would soon be back. She hasn’t been able to rest, nor eat any good food since last night since after that argument with her mother yesterday night.
She heard her mother and Rosa talk about her husband from inside, but she was done letting any of their words get to her. She knew that he would soon be back.
Nelson was not weak, unlike her mother who was treating him like some naive nerd. He was smart and strong, he wouldn’t have headed into the lion’s den without having any plans he didn’t tell them before leaving.
She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes, it was useless to cry since there’s no new news yet from him, although she was trying hard to be strong but if he doesn’t show up nor call after tomorrow, they are leaving for India.
Her mother explained everything Nelson told her yesterday night, but she would not leave with her. She could leave with Rosa if she wants, but she won’t leave with them. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Narika might come back home!
Nelson might show up after those two days are up, and she can’t bear the thought of not seeing her babies, just because she was scared of a human being like her. It’s not like his father was Lucifer.
If there was anyone to be scared about, then it’s Lucifer because he’s one real son of a bitch for having played with Nelson and Jason’s family.
Marya looked up when she heard a car drive into the house, she stood up and headed out to the terrace in hope that it would be Nelson but rather saw Hendrix come out of his car, with a woman. His mother.
They looked alike, what was he doing here?
She asked, but the front door of the house was opened and out walked her mother and sister whose eyes were fixed on their visitors. They also had thought that Nelson was back.
But Marya knew that Hendrix and his mother had other business when she saw her mother’s eyes turn white, likewise Hendrix’s mother too.
The change in the environment had both her and Rosa looking at her, but she was in a vegetative state just like Hendrix’s mother, who stood rooted in the same place she was, Hendrix was the only one who walked up to her.
"What is going?" Marya asked him, but before he could explain what was happening their mothers were back themselves but not without staggering back with a force, but they were back to their feets again.
"What are you doing here?" Seline asked Naomi, who came closer until she stopped infront of everyone.
"You don’t get to talk to me, Seline." Naomi said, confusing everyone who was still waiting for an explanation but when no one was ready to talk among them, because they seemed like they were on the verge of killing each other with their looks, Marya had to step in.
"Can someone please explain what the hell is going on here?" She asked, looking at her mom’s way since she’s the one who is in the best position to talk right now.
"Hendrix?" She called him.
"She’s a witch,Marya. But she’s more of a protector of the witches circle." Seline said, but that didn’t give any of them the reason why they wanted to kill each other.
Seline looked up to see that both of her daughters, aren’t going to back down from asking her more questions with that look they were giving her.
"She’s a friend."She added.
"I am not your friend." Naomi snapped, making Rosa and Marya to look at her.
" Mother, stop it. This is not the right time for this." Hendrix told Naomi, and she looked away from everyone before Seline cleared her throat.
"We were colleagues, but i betrayed the cause and was sent out of the witch’s circle, whereas she was demoted as nothing but a guard,"Seline explained.
"What did you do?" Marya added, she needed information. Nelson didn’t tell her that his boss was a witch who’s mother was a guard at the witches circle. Why is everyone keeping things away from her?
"That’s not important right now, Marya." Naomi stepped in, as Rosa scoffed at her ridiculous attitude. She can’t just walk into someone’s home, and try to tell them what to do and what not to do.
"Hey..." Rosa called with disrespect, but Marya stopped her.
"I’m sorry for keeping this away from you, Mrs.Singh. Your husband didn’t know anything about me or my mother until the day he wanted to leave." Hendrix apologized, but that’s not the problem right now.
Marya was more interested in what his mother meant by what she said," why are you here?"
"To protect Narika." Naomi said simply, earning a scoff from Rosa but a quizzical look from the others.
"Incase you don’t know, she’s not here. So you can carry on your little charade on to the next house." Rosa said, her eyes connected with Hendrix who gave her that what was her problem look.
"What do you mean, Naomi? You know she’s not here, Nelson is gone insearch of answers from Marilyn. We have to know if she’s been held hostage by Lucifer." Seline added.
"That’s not important anymore, because she’s going to be coming back home soon."Naomi said, earning a shocked gasp from Marya.
"What do you mean..."She tried to talk, but it was hard based on the shock at hearing Naomi’s words.
Her baby would be coming back home soon.
"I still don’t understand what you are trying to say, Naomi. She can’t come back home if she’s with Lucifer or Adrik." Seline told her.
"The witches’ circle are now working with the crystal palace, Lucifer is about to receive a dangerous strike for hurting a member of the Grand Alliance, thereby it would cost him the life of his son, Adrik. Without Adrik, there’s no prophecy, and no prophecy, Narika gets to be a normal human being." Naomi explained, before she moved further to explain.
"Lucifer is true to change the formation of the prophecy, but the heavens are going to use that to their benefits to make sure the way never comes."
"So what happens after she comes back home? Is there any guarantee that a prophecy that has been in formation for thousands of years would end just like that?" Seline asked confused.
It didn’t make any sense what the witches circle are trying to do, since there’s no assurance that Lucifer won’t come for Narika after things has died down.
Besides, would he really allow the crystal palace to kill his son, without him getting his revenge? That’s a loss for him.
But Naomi stepped closer to her," you don’t have any right to question the authorities of the circle, Seline. I am here to warn you to stop Nelson for seeking Lucifer’s attention. Everything would he back to normal, just this time no prophecy. Things would be back to the way it is."
"Why is that? What’s really happened?" Marya asked, relief washing through her at hearing Naomi’s explaination. But if her mother is worried, then there’s something wrong.
"Why is because your daughter is lucky, the prophecy had changed and Marilyn would get to give Lucifer what he wants, Instead of your daughter, isn’t that something to be happy about?"
