When Chu Erzhu and Zhang Jiefang saw Ye Fan, it was like two enraged lions about to fight suddenly mellowed out.

If Ye Fan hadn’t heard their belligerent yelling and foul attitude, he wouldn’t have believed that these two were the same people as before.

"Where’s my daughter?" Zhang Jiefang glared angrily at Ye Fan.

"Where’s my granddaughter?" Chu Erzhu also glared at Ye Fan.

Zhang Jiefang didn’t want to lose face in front of his daughter, and neither did Chu Erzhu, so when Ye Fan walked in, their demeanor changed so much. As elders, it would be too embarrassing to let their children see their ’old rascal’ image.

"They didn’t come." Ye Fan dropped these two words and calmly sat down.

"Didn’t come? Where did they go? How dare she not come?" Zhang Jiefang furrowed his brow, full of authority, "The person involved isn’t here, how can this work, I will call her back, she dares defy me, is she trying to rebel?"

"You might as well not bother, Mengyao and Zhang Lu asked me to talk to you. Let’s discuss anything you want to say; you don’t want your children to see you two like fishwives, do you?" Ye Fan said casually.

"Fishwives? You kid, can you speak properly? You came in without knocking, sat down casually in front of elders, do you even have respect for the elderly, have some manners, will you?" Zhang Jiefang accused with ample justification.

Ye Fan was patient, "Just now I was outside the door, and I heard your argument loud and clear, I even recorded it. Luckily Mengyao and Zhang Lu didn’t come. If they had seen their grandfather and dad looking like that, where would you put your face?"

Zhang Jiefang’s idea of contacting Zhang Lu instantly dissipated.

Chu Erzhu’s thought of calling his granddaughter to make Zhang Jiefang give up was pressed down in his heart.

"Recording? You kid, you’re threatening us?" Chu Erzhu’s eyes gleamed sharply.

"Who gave you the guts to record us?" Zhang Jiefang raised an eyebrow.

Chu Erzhu and Zhang Jiefang were relieved that Mengyao and Zhang Lu weren’t there, but worried that Ye Fan’s recording might reach them or others; if it did, their reputations would be severely shamed.

Actually, Ye Fan hadn’t recorded anything, it was just a trick he thought of after coming in to bluff them.

"Gentlemen, have some tea, looking at how hoarse you sound from arguing, haven’t even had time for a sip of water, aren’t you tired? I get it, in a back-and-forth argument no one can dodge or do anything else, if they did, they’d feel they lost. Take a look at yourselves, you’re about to exhaust yourselves." Ye Fan kindly suggested.

"Crocodile tears." Chu Erzhu was insensible to Ye Fan’s kindness.

"Hypocrite." Zhang Jiefang also had a resolute attitude.

Despite their words, they sipped the tea to hydrate and adjusted their emotions.

"Kid, delete the recording, pretend you heard nothing, understand?" Zhang Jiefang threatened, "If I hear even a whisper about this, you’re done."

"Exactly!" Chu Erzhu agreed.

"You’re already on the same page so quickly." Ye Fan chuckled.

"Bah!" Chu Erzhu and Zhang Jiefang shouted in unison, spitting towards each other, clearly indicating that wearing the same pants was impossible.

"Quite the rapport you have." Ye Fan said calmly.

Chu Erzhu and Zhang Jiefang shut their mouths, glancing at each other before Zhang Jiefang spoke, "Kid, stop using petty tricks, you dare to speak nonsense, I’ll fight you, I’ll bring an army to scare you."

"You’re a good kid, I trust you won’t talk nonsense." Chu Erzhu deployed a soft approach.

Ye Fan pretended to pull out his phone and fiddle with it.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Jiefang, sitting beside him, sharp-eyed, jumped up like a rocket, looked at Ye Fan’s phone, discovered Ye Fan hadn’t deleted anything, just aimlessly tapping.

"You shameless kid, you dared to fool us." Zhang Jiefang was furious, saliva flying through the air.

"Deceiving the elders, where’s your conscience?" Chu Erzhu glared fiercely.

They grew even angrier, just one recording risking their reputations, fearing Ye Fan might spread it, but it turned out to be Ye Fan’s lie. Such a small deception made them lose composure, both skilled and cunning, yet now embarrassed.

They fell for it, downright disgraceful.

"You want me to delete it, would I really? I pretend to delete, but if there was a recording, it wouldn’t be deleted, because then how would I threaten you?" Ye Fan explained his defense.

"Play the recording once, let us listen." Chu Erzhu adopted a skeptical approach.

"It’s better if there’s really a recording, if not, your integrity is in question." Zhang Jiefang glared.

Neither man was certain of Ye Fan’s truth, but doubt was present.

"Let it go, you don’t believe me?" Ye Fan helplessly acknowledged, trying to bluff these guys was evidently impossible, dejectedly said: "Alright, actually there’s no recording; your bickering was too vulgar, dared not record it, lest it accidentally spread and become a joke. Really, I thought of your dignity, deliberately left no evidence, you hold high positions, spread such an image, wouldn’t you ruin your reputations?"

"Clearly you have issues with integrity, yet promptly packaging yourself as considerate, shameless." Zhang Jiefang retorted bluntly.

"Seems we should thank your kindness, for being so thoughtful for us, really went out of your way?" Chu Erzhu sarcastically smiled.

"No need for thanks, I truly considered your dignity, lest you ruin your late years." Ye Fan sincerely assured.

"A sharp-tongued young man, when you visited my house, why didn’t I notice you were rather slick?" Zhang Jiefang angrily stated: "Did you use that mouth to deceive my daughter? Tricked her feelings and body, didn’t you?"
