My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 307: Party Crashers
Chapter 307: Party Crashers
(Karsten)
I had asked for a joint party because I knew Roshra would try to bring in a stripper. Although I wanted Arata to have freedom and enjoy her night, she wasn’t fond of men who were merely strangers to her and smiled a lot.
She had been going through therapy but the fear still lingered inside her. I had observed her hold my arm a little tighter when meeting men she didn’t know.
No way I wanted her to have an episode like that or feel alone or scared. Being as sweet as she was with my family, I knew she would never reveal how uncomfortable she was feeling.
So I had to be there for her.
Zaylen and Callum arrived and I had Caysir pick them up. Rahsir had arrived before them.
I collared my sleek grey shirt’s button while Rahsir lazed around on the comfy chair in my room.
"Being a CEO is tougher than I had imagined. Now that everyone knows there has been a change in the power. All those companies you had warned me against are coming out of hiding and wanting to work together," he revealed in a bored voice, his head hanging back from the armrest.
I let out a small laugh. "I told you they will."
Grabbing the hair brush, I let its bristles softly comb my hair backwards.
"Well they are going to land on their sorry asses. They don’t know me yet but soon they will." Rahsir shrugged his shoulders and got up, adjusting his cufflinks.
Watching him step up to responsibilities and take his post seriously filled me with pride.
Turning around, I took a step towards him and held his shoulders.
"A lot more is going to be shoved your way. They will be jealous of you, and some will even want to replace you. Others will just see you as a pawn to play their own game. It’s mandatory to keep reminding them who the king is."
Rahsir gave me a lopsided grin, and there was a sparkle in his bright eyes.
"Let them come, they will be messing with the wrong brothers. Let’s go get that party started. I want some booze in my system."
I nodded gladly and we headed out. We picked up Zaylen and Callum from their rooms before proceeding. Both seemed in high spirits.
The venue was a small pool area I had rented out for the whole day and night so everyone could relax, swim and get drunk, except Arata and me.
Since she couldn’t drink, I decided not to do it either.
When we arrived at the venue, the girls were already there, sitting near the pool on comfortable loungers and sipping cocktails.
A combination of red and gold lights, flashy decorations with a banner "About To Be Married" had been put up.
Music blasted through the speakers, creating the vibe for this night.
My eyes roamed and found my Queen.
She was seated in a special chair, appearing like an angel in the white flowing dress girls had chosen for her.
A silver crown sat on her head as she beamed at me.
"Here comes the party crashers." Roshra clicked her tongue, seeing us approach. I knew she wouldn’t be pleased.
"Hey! We are the party, sister." Rahsir spread his hands and leaned in to kiss a sulking Roshra.
Zaylen and Callum went on to meet Arata first and congratulate her. They hugged her turn by turn and then went on to meet the other ladies.
Finally, I approached my girl and she welcomed me with a hearty smile. Hugging her I placed a warm kiss on her forehead.
"You look gorgeously beautiful."
"And you dandy, I love your shirt," she complimented me. Her hand ran over my chest.
We separated and I settled myself next to her in the seat reserved for me.
It said: "For the groom to be."
Stella and Zaylen seated themselves together with him having his arm around her. Cherry was enjoying her Strawberry Daiquiri and vibing with the music with her hand in the air.
Callum awkwardly sat beside my sister, who was now eyeing him like he was her favourite candy.
I wasn’t sure how serious she was with the guy, but he definitely felt intimidated by her.
Rahsir perched himself on the seat lying on the right side of me and instantly summoned the server to order drinks for us.
"Simple orange juice without sugar for me," I reminded him and he gave me a nod before going on to ask the others.
"Roshra is not happy with you." Arata pressed her back into my shoulder and I gently held her to myself.
"I know, it’s alright. Don’t worry about her."
Once the drinks were served to everyone,
Roshra stood up with her tulip flute in her hand and a tiny umbrella hanging from the rim.
"I would like to start this party with a toast for my brother and his beautiful fiancée."
She raised her glass towards Arata. Her sparkly cobalt blue dress shimmered as the red and gold light was reflected from it. "Remember, girl, I love you more than this party destroyer." Her gaze landed on me and she wrinkled her nose.
Bouts of laughter followed her words and Arata’s body vibrated against mine as she laughed wholeheartedly.
How I loved hearing her soul-satisfying laughter.
"To Arata and Karsten. May their love reign forever." She raised her glass, and so did all of us, and a cheer went around.
Arata and I took small sips of our orange juice and she turned to whisper in my ear.
"You don’t have to skip wine because of me. It’s your bachelor’s night. I would hate it if you don’t enjoy it."
I simply shook my head, watching her fluffy pink cheeks as if constructed from cotton candy.
"It’s our night and not drinking wine won’t change much. I have a whole life ahead to do it."
She graciously smiled at me. "I love you for how considerate you are."
Roshra was clinking her glass using a stirrer.
"Love birds, can I have your attention?"
We snatched away our gazes from each other and focused them back on Roshra. Others were watching us with knowing looks.
"The first game of the night will be. "Follow the words." That pot here," Roshra pointed to a golden pot that had been placed on the round glass table near her. Gold candles flickered all around it as if she were about to cast a spell from the golden vessel.
"Choose a card from this and do what has been scribbled on it. I want my brother to be the first one." Roshra wickedly smiled at me while Stella and Cherry joined in.
I knew in my gut that it wasn’t going to be anything good. Still, I got up and walked over to my sister.
"Go, Karsten!" Zaylen called out encouraging me.
She extracted a card from it and handed it to me while smiling like a villainess. I could see her wickedness dripping from that smile she wore.
"Read it, brother dear," she challenged and I quietly accepted it to see what they had tasked me with.
