Chapter 306: Girls’ Night

(Arata)

"He what?" Cherry asked, with her eyes wide and I sheepishly laughed.

"Yeah, he is afraid you guys will arrange some strippers and get carried away. He refuses to budge from this." My gaze went to Roshra. Karsten was most concerned about his sister doing something totally ridiculous and pissing him off. She was known to go off the hook once drunk.

"He is doing it because of me, isn’t he? Well, I am going to piss him off in the combined party too. Just see what I am going to do." Roshra merely shrugged her shoulders and leaned back in the seat.

We laughed at her revenge plan. She was going to cause trouble, that was for sure.

After the spa, we had dinner together at the cottage and gathered in Stella and Cherry’s room.

They made me lie down so I wouldn’t get overly tired.

I sent a quick text to Karsten that I would be late, and was spending time with the girls. I didn’t want to worry him.

"I just love the ring. It’s gorgeous and nothing I have ever seen before." Stella and Cherry gathered around me and admired my ring while Roshra poured herself a glass of Pinot Noir.

"True, I appreciate that Grandma Martina decided to give Karsten her engagement ring. This has memories attached to it. I will always cherish it."

They nodded at me in agreement.

"I love this concept of passing on the family heirlooms," Stella added, leaning back against the chair and placing her feet on the bed to relax.

"I hope Aunt Skyla will have a ring ready for you," Cherry teased, adjusting herself against the headboard beside me.

Stella’s cheeks turned into mini tomatoes while Roshra raised her glass towards Stella and said with her head swinging, "Amen to that. He is a good kid."

I giggled. Stella hid half her face with the nightshirt she was wearing and further lowered herself into the chair trying to become smaller and smaller, maybe trying to disappear under our teasing.

"Let’s watch a rom-com," Roshra suggested, stumbling towards us with her glass full.

"Great idea, I will order some popcorn and soda." Stella jumped out of her seat, happy that attention had been diverted from her.

"Orange juice for me, instead of Soda," I called out while she picked up the extension to make the call.

Cherry picked up the remote and began to scroll through Netflix.

"Ohhh! Let’s watch Bridesmaids."

"Yah! Perfect for the occasion," Roshra raised her hands in the air, still holding her glass. She was drunk.

After placing the order, Stella climbed into bed with us, and the four of us just squeezed together. Cherry hit the play button and the movie started.

Our snacks and drinks were delivered and we had a fun time together. It was an old movie but we enjoyed it. Although Roshra fell asleep without finishing it.

We arranged a different room for Cherry.

My phone rang and I noticed it was Karsten. "Girls, I have to go, my ride is here." Telling them goodnight, I stepped out of the room and found Caysir was still guarding it.

"Sir is here. Shall we go, Miss Arata?" He asked, taking my handbag from me.

"Yes!" We arrived outside and Hades opened the car door for me so I could settle in.

Karsten was already inside. His fresh scent welcomed me and all the tiredness left me in that instant.

The crispness of his black shirt, the rolled up sleeves and those magnetic eyes that always hauntingly watched me, had my insides turning.

Instead of letting me remain on the seat, he scooped me up like picking up a toddler and had me in his lap.

Fastening the seat belt around us, he buried his nose into my shoulder.

"I missed you, Arata. The girls stole you from me," he murmured, almost complaining like a child.

"I am here now and will sleep in your arms."

That seemed to have lifted his mood a notch.

"I am going to be hugging you all night long."

"Deal," I offered, turning my face towards him and placing a small kiss on his nose.

"Did you eat properly?" He questioned, keeping the tip of his nose between my lips.

"I did. Stop worrying so much." I leaned into him and he just hugged me again.

"I can’t, my heart remains restless, the longer you are away from me." He had almost lost me, and then I had to leave him. I understood he felt insecure because of that and he couldn’t help it.

"Don’t worry, I am bound to you for life now." Closing my eyes, I just let loose, and his comforting presence had my body laxed in no time.

He kissed the side of my face and let me rest until we got home.

In the next few days, my body was plucked like a chicken about to be roasted, except I willingly participated in every activity.

Special care was taken with me, considering I was pregnant.

Girls arranged a white dress for my bachelorette party since I wasn’t wearing one for my wedding.

Only two more days until the wedding, and tonight they had arranged the bachelorette party for me, which I knew Karsten was going to crash along with the boys.

Zaylen and Callum were arriving too.

"Ready for the dress reveal," they asked in unison, holding the black zipper bag in front of me.

I clasped my hands together and placed my chin on them while giving a jubilant nod. Stella slowly opened the zipper while Cherry brought out the dress, passing it to Roshra. She was the tallest and held the hanger up.

Breathlessly, I watched with my eyes wide open. The sophisticated off-the-shoulder maxi style dress they had chosen for me was spectacular in the best possible way.

"Wow! It’s gorgeous. I love it, girls." The dress was chic and yet elegantly exquisite. So many details had gone into its luxurious design.

They beamed at me and their stressed shoulders relaxed seeing my expression.

"Let’s get you into it and get this party started. We have huge things planned." Stella stepped forward and helped me up from the sofa.

Excitement made round inside my body and I couldn’t wait to get started with this party.
