Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 567: Son, You Deal with Them First
At the bar, a few women were still sitting together, getting more and more animated in their conversation.
Hazel Yates and these young people had no generational gap when it came to topics; she knew more gossip about the entertainment industry than her daughter-in-law Audrey Sutton did.
After two or three cocktails, Hazel Yates became more talkative. Phoebe King and Laura Yates, her two daughters-in-law, knew how to please their mother-in-law, sitting on either side of her, making Hazel smile constantly.
"Whew—"
A roguish whistle sounded in her ear, and Audrey Sutton turned her head to see five or six young men surrounding them.
The guy at the front had brownish hair, and his peach blossom eyes were full of mischief. He had a small mole on the right side of his nose, wore braces but was still decently good-looking, and seemed about the same age as Norman Sutton.
"Ladies, why not come over for a drink and a dance?"
Phoebe King stood up and said, "Where are these little punks from? Haven’t even grown all their hair yet? Go play somewhere else."
The young man leaned in, draping an arm around Phoebe King’s shoulder, whispering in her ear, "Whether it’s grown or not, can’t you just check?"
Phoebe King slapped him away: "Tired of living, are you?"
A crew-cut guy chimed in, leering at Phoebe King, "Wow, sister, you’ve got a fiery temper, I like that."
Another guy with glasses laughed and said, "There’re several sisters here; how about we each pick one?"
Seraphina Vaughn picked up a glass beside her and smashed it at their feet: "Who do you think you’re being a jerk in front of? Do you know who I am?"
The guy with braces sneered, "Do you know who I am? In Rivia, I’m really not afraid of you, let me tell you."
Phoebe King sneered, "Big talk. Call your parents over; I want to see which big shot in Rivia they are."
Audrey Sutton thought, in Rivia, is there anyone with a bigger background than The Warner?
Besides, this was her fourth brother’s bar, no one dared to cause trouble here. So she got up and said, "I don’t care who you are, this isn’t the place to act wild. Don’t force me to get someone to kick you out."
The braces guy laughed and looked Audrey Sutton up and down, stepping closer and lifting Audrey’s chin with his fingers, "Little master here has taken a fancy to you today, what are you gonna do about it?"
Audrey Sutton frowned, slapped his hand away fiercely: "Try touching me again!"
Fearing that the two pregnant ones might get stressed, Hazel Yates quickly stepped in to mediate, saying, "Forget it, I’ll go get the fourth son to handle this. You all head back."/p>
The braces guy gave a signal with his eyes, and a group of his lackeys encircled them: "Where you trying to go? Here to call for help or are you trying to run?"
The crew-cut guy grinned and said, "This sister also looks nice, very classy."
Hazel Yates got angry hearing this and began educating them in a parental tone: "What’s wrong with you kids? How do your families raise you? Instead of studying and finding a proper job, you come out bullying young girls?"
The braces guy muttered, "Even naggier than my mom, too lazy to chat with you lots, brothers, go on, pick whichever you like, I’ll handle the aftermath!"
Hearing that, the crew-cut lad rushed up and grabbed Hazel Yates’s hand, "Don’t snatch from me; this sis is mine."
"Stop!" A commanding voice rang out; Samuel Sutton came over, "Where did these punks come from?"
"Hey man, doesn’t concern you. Trying to play hero at your age? Better step aside, don’t get caught in the crossfire later."
Samuel Sutton stepped forward, forcefully pulling the crew-cut guy away, pulling Hazel Yates into his arms: "She’s my wife. How is this not my business? My sons are older than you guys, calling me ’dad’ wouldn’t be a stretch."
The braces guy frowned: "Taking advantage of who?"
A muscular guy in the back who hadn’t spoken began rolling up his sleeves, looking ready to fight.
Samuel Sutton wasn’t intimidated; after all, in front of his wife and daughter, he couldn’t back down: "Ever been in the military? Having some half-baked skills and daring to stir up trouble?"
The braces kid patted the muscular guy’s arm and said, "Never been in the military, only won a wrestling championship."
Samuel Sutton chuckled dismissively, unbuttoning his suit and handing it to Hazel Yates: "Take our daughter over, I’ll handle this."
Hazel Yates anxiously tugged at him: "What are you gonna handle? You think you’re still young? You hold them off; I’ll go get the fourth son."
Just as Hazel finished speaking, the braces guy grabbed a bottle of wine off the bar and smashed it on the ground.
The liquor and glass shards scattered everywhere, causing everyone to subconsciously step back. The braces guy’s crew took advantage of the situation to close in, narrowing their room to maneuver.
Samuel Sutton swung a fist right into the face of the crew-cut guy closest to him: "Who are you trying to scare?! When I was running on the streets, your mother hadn’t even thought of you yet!"
The crew-cut guy gritted his teeth and cursed: "Damn it, get him!"
Concerned for Phoebe King and Audrey Sutton, Hazel Yates quickly took the chaos as an opportunity to pull them away: "Quick, go get the fourth son!"
Audrey Sutton saw the situation getting out of hand. Although she’d heard of her father’s feats in his younger days of taking on ten at a time, given his age, he naturally couldn’t compare to his younger days.
Worried her father wouldn’t handle these punks, Audrey Sutton quickly went off to find someone.
The bar’s staff were also drawn by the fight but dared not step in to intervene, quickly going to summon security instead.
Seraphina Vaughn had practiced taekwondo and could barely handle a few moves, while Flora Lane grabbed a large round tray and swung it wildly at anyone nearby.
Laura Yates and Barry Barrett were timid and had never seen such a scene, huddling in the corner, debating whether to call the police.
Coming downstairs with a fruit platter, Norman Sutton paused at the commotion by the bar, then quickly ran over, kicking away a glasses-wearing guy trying to sneak attack Samuel Sutton from behind. He asked Samuel, "What’s going on, Dad? At your age, still causing trouble? Who are these people?"
Samuel Sutton, panting, turned to take Hazel Yates’s hand, choosing to "sell out his son": "Son, handle this first; I need to get your mom to safety! I’ll go get your second brother for backup!"
Before Norman could even curse, he saw a solid fist swing at him and quickly ducked.
A tech geek isn’t these guys’ match; he managed to dodge the first couple of hits, but there were too many of them. He couldn’t dodge all and soon took a punch to the face. Annoyed, Norman yelled: "Who the hell are you guys? Who are you beating up? Do I know you?!"
Audrey Sutton hadn’t seen her fourth brother the entire way and found Arthur Sutton and Shane Warner at the booth, urgently calling out: "Something’s happened, something’s happened, come on over quickly!"
