Enoril told him that they only did something like that when the elves felt that they were somewhere safe and with family. Anton appreciated the fact that the forest elves were already familiar with him and were treating him as almost one of them.

A lot of netizens from Earth kept saying that The Hobbit trilogy was lacking compared to the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, so Anton was a little apprehensive about showing the films to the forest elves. He did not want to taint the elves’ great experience in watching the original Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The fact was, Anton also loved The Hobbit trilogy and considered them as one with the original Lord of the Rings films. If he was forced, he would admit that the original was better, but to him, they were all the same. The problem was that he did not know if he could find the same kind of food in this world; he knew that just following a recipe would not result in some kind of gourmet excellence. Anton just shrugged and put his quest for tasting excellent food at the back of his mind.

When The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey started, everyone gasped when they saw Frodo and Bilbo. The nostalgia, even though everyone had only seen the movies just a few days ago, hit them hard. Seeing Frodo and Bilbo on the screen brought everyone back to when everyone was together with the hobbits in their journey to destroy the One Ring. Anton could hear the sigh, and he understood. Even though he had seen the films several times, he could not help but feel the same thing.

As usual, Anton recorded the expression of the elves using his Globe of Browser Sharing spell. He intended to let his father and sister watch his recordings. When the movie ended, Anton was glad to see that there was no sense of disappointment in the faces of the forest elves. Everyone was just delighted that they could experience going back into the world of the hobbits.

For the next two days, the forest elves watched The Desolation of Smaug and the Battle of the Five Armies, and Anton still could not see any hints of disappointment in the elves' faces. He appreciated that since he truly loved all of the Lord of the Rings films.

After the last film ended, the high-ranking forest elves straightforwardly asked if there were any more Lord of the Rings films, and of course, he told them there were none. Since everyone knew that Anton still had to stay around eight to ten days in their kingdom, they asked if he could recommend more movie franchises for them to watch. Anton suddenly thought of one movie franchise that he had not seen and wanted to see for a long time. They planned to start watching the film the day after tomorrow since Anton requested a day off. He planned to go back to the Rose Manor to make sure that his family would know that he was doing fine. He did not plan to stay long, not even an hour. He still did not want the elves to detect that he was able to create portals.

The next day, after breakfast, he told Enoril that he planned to stay inside the guest house for the whole day to do some research about magic and to advise everyone not to disturb him as long as he was still inside, and Enoril agreed to do as he told. Anton thanked the elf and returned to the guest house, went to the bathroom, used a Town Portal Scroll, and returned to the Rose Manor.

The moment he arrived, Anton cast the Blizzard spell that was turned into Mana Rain by manipulating the mana structure of the spell. It was his routine to inform everyone that he was back. As expected, after a minute, everyone arrived at his room.

Anton was alarmed when his door was flung opened and Anna ran to him, crying.

“What happened?!”

“Father was taken by the Ormunda soldiers. I think he was suspected of being a spy,” Anna cried.

Since his sister was incoherent, he looked to Raymond, the family butler, for more information.

“Your portal inside the room in the hotel near the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon was discovered by the wizards of Ormunda. You don’t need to worry too much, Anton. Your father is just being questioned. They took him early this morning. I saw that he was being treated fine since they did not want to offend you, a confirmed Supreme Rank wizard. I’m sure that once you go to where your father is being held, they will release him immediately after you answer their question about your portal.”

Anton sighed. He knew that sooner or later, his ability to create portals would be discovered. After he asked Anna to let him go, he immediately asked Raymond where the authorities had taken Anders for questioning. Since Anna was not in a condition to accompany him, Anton, Raymond, together with a few guard went to where Anders was being held.

Anders was being held in one of the guards station nearby. It was only about thirty minutes carriage ride. Thankfully, Anton thought of returning that day, since that meant that his father would only stay in the guard station for just a couple of hours.

When they arrived there, Raymond introduced Anton to the guard, and since he was a confirmed Supreme Rank wizard, everyone was respectful towards him. Anton was thankful that Ormunda was a land of wizards, and he was a powerful wizard. Considering that his father was also a holder of a unique, powerful class and his sister was considered a prodigy for almost reaching the archmage rank at the age of thirteen, everyone was treating their family as first-class citizens.
