Chapter 280: Chapter 280: Shall We Wash Together?

The bearded man did not overstep boundaries, after all, Shane and Audrey Sutton had a joint photo shoot, and he had already gained from it.

The popularity of the photoshoot from yesterday hadn’t faded, so he seized the opportunity for some promotion with this chance as well.

When Audrey Sutton emerged from the water, her dress was all wet and clinging to her body. The design was form-fitting, so being drenched and wrapped around felt quite uncomfortable.

The assistant immediately took her to the set to change clothes, and Shane went to the tent next door.

Shane changed quickly, and after changing, stood outside the tent waiting for Audrey Sutton.

Suddenly, he received a call from Lucian Quinn. Noticing that the surrounding area was filled with staff packing equipment—quite noisy—he stepped aside to answer the call.

Seeing Shane walk away, Nolan Hawke discreetly walked over to the tent outside.

About two minutes later, Audrey Sutton came out of the tent.

Her makeup was still intact, and her hair hadn’t been taken down, having so much hairspray on it before being soaked again, making combing difficult. So she just wrapped her wet hair with a towel without trying to style it.

The evening breeze in the valley was somewhat chilly, and Audrey Sutton wore the sleeveless dress she arrived in the morning with, shivering slightly from the cold.

As soon as she came out, she looked around obviously searching for Shane.

Nolan Hawke walked over to her, smiling, and informed her, "Third Young Master went over there to take a call."

Audrey Sutton followed Nolan Hawke’s pointing direction and indeed saw Shane.

Before Audrey Sutton could move in Shane’s direction, she felt warmth on her shoulder and turned to see Nolan Hawke draped his own jacket over her shoulders, chuckling softly as he said, "It’s cold at night, don’t catch a chill."

Audrey Sutton felt slightly awkward but assumed Nolan Hawke was just being kind, as she forced a smile just about to take off the coat and politely refuse his goodwill, he, however, took it away first.

"Is it really that cold?" Shane’s voice rang softly behind her, turning around to see him smiling as he returned the coat to Nolan Hawke, still speaking politely, "Thanks, Mr. Hawke, my own coat is warmer, better keep yours for yourself."

As he spoke, Shane returned the jacket to Nolan Hawke and immediately passed his own arm-wrapped coat to Audrey Sutton, for her to put on.

Nolan Hawke showed no emotional change, always keeping a gentle smile.

With Audrey Sutton’s hair wet, Shane worried about her catching cold, instead of going directly home, he found a hotel nearby at the foot of the mountain to stay where she could take a hot bath first.

"Shane?"

Standing by the window smoking, Shane faintly heard someone calling his name from the bathroom.

He wasn’t sure if he heard it right, as she rarely called his full name.

He tossed the half-smoked cigarette into the ashtray beside him, turned around, and walked into the room, standing outside the bathroom door, asking, "Are you calling me?"

"My hair is tangled with the clip, I can’t brush it out." Audrey Sutton’s voice sounded a bit troubled, "Can you come in and help me remove a clip?"

Of course, Shane couldn’t wait.

As soon as Audrey’s words fell, Shane’s hand rested on the bathroom door and he pushed in without hesitation.

Inside the bathroom, she was sitting with her back to him in the big bathtub, a thick layer of foam floating above, enough to cover her body but she was still seen wrapping a towel around herself.

Her black hair wet and disheveled, nearby lay a comb and several black clips she had taken off her head, along with some strands pulled during brushing.

Shane walked to her back, reached for the comb, unsure where to start, asked, "Where should I begin?"

Audrey Sutton fastened the towel, "You start by removing the clips."

All the clips were hidden beneath tangled hair, initially used to fix the hairstyle, many clips were applied along with a large amount of hairspray.

After curling, Audrey Sutton usually found it difficult to brush her hair when washing, under the effect of hairspray, her hair strands were even more entangled together.

Shane bent down, gently searched her head with his hands, removing the clips one by one from her hair.

After removing the clips, he attempted to comb her hair, but the comb stuck without progress.

"I think you should just shave it all off." He suggested.

Audrey Sutton gave him a side glance, "I’ll wash first, applying conditioner might make it easier to comb."

"Then why don’t you lie down?"

Audrey Sutton turned back to him with a smile, "Are you going to wash it for me?"

"Can we share the bath?" he teased but didn’t take advantage, just placed a hand on her shoulder, turning her around to let her lie in the tub’s designed groove.

Took the showerhead nearby, adjusted the water temperature, and gently sprayed on Audrey Sutton’s hair.

Audrey Sutton initially worried he might clumsily splash water into her eyes, so after lying down, she closed her eyes tight.

Not until he squeezed the shampoo, gently massaging her hair, did Audrey Sutton open her eyes, looking up at him, smiling, "You seem quite skilled."

He slightly raised an eyebrow, "Really? It’s my first time washing someone else’s hair."

Audrey Sutton’s smile suddenly faded, yet her dark eyes remained fixed on him. After several seconds of silence, she asked, "Will you learn from here and later wash other girls’ hair?"

Shane felt she was overthinking again, not wanting a dreary mood, jokingly replied, "Am I a hair salon now?"

She chuckled quietly, her gaze moved from his face, settling somewhere in the bathroom, lost in thought, her focus blurring.

Shane rinsed away the shampoo foams from her head, this time she didn’t close her eyes but kept watching him, just when droplets accidentally sprinkled on her face she would blink involuntarily.

"Which bottle is conditioner?"

Audrey Sutton turned, glancing at a pile of bottles placed aside then pointed, "The pink one."

After pointing, she placed her hand back into the water, playing with the foam atop the tub, looking rather relaxed.

He combed her hair with gentle movements, fearful of pulling and hurting her scalp.

But even so, quite a bit of hair was pulled out, as he cleaned tangled hair from the comb, he remarked, "After a couple more of these instances, you’re probably close to baldness."

Faced with his sharp words, Audrey Sutton only smiled at him, no longer talking back as she usually did before.

After fully combing her hair, Shane sighed with relief, then carefully rinsed her hair again, picked up a nearby dry towel to dab at it, trying to wrap her hair in it, yet after several attempts somehow couldn’t get it right, he asked her, "How do you wrap this?"
