Chapter 279: Chapter 279: If Only No One Was Around

Audrey Sutton thinks that Shane really isn’t afraid to offend people. He speaks so directly without any tact.

Looking at the photography team, unsure and hesitant, everyone seems quite troubled.

Audrey Sutton considers that they’ve been quite polite and have taken good care of them, not wanting things to become awkward.

But she herself doesn’t want to take photos with another man, especially with Shane being there.

As for her fear of water, it’s not just simple fear. Deep down, she has always wanted to overcome it. If Shane is by her side, she might give it a try.

So she came up with a solution that wouldn’t make everyone uncomfortable and wouldn’t upset Shane.

Audrey Sutton smiled and said to the bearded man in a negotiating tone, "How about this? Let my husband take photos with me. I think my husband looks decent enough, and the effect should be good. What do you think, teacher?"

The bearded man was surprised by Audrey Sutton’s suggestion; it was an idea he didn’t dare to think of, and even if he had, he wouldn’t have had the courage to propose it. But he didn’t expect Audrey Sutton to suggest it herself.

His eyes lit up, and he nodded enthusiastically, "Of course! Third Young Master’s appearance and physique surpass the standards of many professional models. If Third Young Master agrees, that would be great, but I wonder if he would consent."

Shane was also surprised that Audrey Sutton’s clever mind came up with this idea, thinking it wasn’t a bad one, but...

"You’re not afraid to go into the water?"

Audrey Sutton: "Isn’t that why you’re here?"

With her words, Shane found it hard to refuse.

Not for anything else but to help her overcome her fear, he had no choice but to go.

"Do I need to prepare anything?" Shane turned and asked the bearded man next to him.

Once the bearded man heard Shane agreed, he quickly gestured for the makeup artist and assistant to take Shane to change clothes.

Men’s makeup isn’t as complicated as women’s, so it only took about ten minutes to get ready.

Shane held Audrey Sutton with one hand and her long dress train with the other, afraid she might trip.

As the water level slowly rose past her knees, her little hand holding his arm tightened more and more.

Shane quietly asked her, "Can you manage?"

He couldn’t imagine what it felt like for someone with a fear of water. Maybe the pressure from the water might remind her of past experiences, causing psychological and physiological fear.

She held her breath without answering his question, cautiously moving forward.

It was called a river, but actually just a deeper creek, with small stones on the bottom, making it steady to walk.

With her steps, the water level slowly deepened, starting to reach her thighs. The red dress displayed charmingly through the clear creek, highlighting the whiteness of her legs.

Audrey Sutton stopped walking, looking ahead at the designated shooting location, about ten steps away.

"Don’t be afraid, walk boldly. I’ll hold onto you."

When Audrey Sutton stopped, Shane’s voice sounded in her ear. She glanced at Shane, and the unease in her eyes faded considerably.

She tightly held his hand, her gaze more determined, and stepped forward again.

Her height was petite, with the water level at the designated shooting spot reaching Shane’s waist, but almost to Audrey’s chest.

Her grip on his hand never loosened, even when she reached the designated spot. Holding him gave her a sense of safety.

After standing for two seconds, she turned her head and smiled at Shane, "As long as the water doesn’t reach my neck, it doesn’t seem that scary."

Shane: "That’s because I’m beside you. Earlier, when the assistant held you, you couldn’t even walk when the water reached your calves."

"Honestly, this might be my limit. When I went to the beach before, I just dipped my feet, never went as deep as this."

"Want to learn to swim? I can teach you when we get back."

Audrey Sutton playfully eyed him, saying, "I suspect you bought insurance for me, wanting to trick me and marry a new wife."

The bearded man didn’t give them much time to chat, carrying the camera and bringing the assistant over.

Other staff with lighter lighting equipment worked on adjusting angles.

After posing for a few photos as requested by the photographer, Shane was relieved he stopped the male model earlier.

Despite claims of no intimate actions, there were still waist holds and thigh touches. Isn’t that intimate?

Her allure was captivating, and wet from the water added to the imagination. Her dress was rather low-cut, even though Shane had adjusted the neckline several times, he still caught glimpses of her curves from his perspective.

How could other men look at this?

"Madam, could you wrap your legs around Third Young Master’s waist? Then gaze into his eyes and, come on, do the nose rub."

Shane murmured to Audrey Sutton with furrowed brows, "What kind of ’rub’?"

Audrey Sutton smiled and didn’t answer, using her hand on Shane’s shoulder to lift herself. Adjusting to the water level eased her movements.

Shane understood the photographer’s earlier instructions, so as Audrey wrapped her legs around him, he easily lifted her, letting her wrap her legs around his waist with ease. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Audrey Sutton hooked around his neck, bringing her face closer. Shane thought she was going to kiss him, but she only touched her nose to his, whispering, "This is the nose rub."

"Third Young Master, move your right hand to Madam’s waist and press her slightly towards you."

Shane did as told, whispering softly, "If there were no one around, it would be better."

Audrey Sutton paused, then understood his implication, blushing slightly.

Obviously, the string of intimate actions was a bit much for him.

"Yes, keep this pose. Three... two... one!"

With the countdown, the camera froze the shot, and the bearded man commented satisfactorily, "Very good."

They then changed positions a few more times, finally suggesting some underwater shots with Audrey completely submerged.

Shane directly rejected this and announced the shoot was over.

The creek water was too cold, and he didn’t want Audrey in it too long. Plus, although Audrey had made a small step in overcoming her fear, submerging wasn’t something she could do right away.

It had to be step-by-step; rushing would only backfire.

Most importantly, Shane wasn’t interested in continuing to play with them, and had already given them some courtesy.
