Chapter 263: Chapter 263: You Have a Beautiful Smile

Audrey Sutton heard the driver uncle had been there, so she followed his suggestion.

She was too lazy to check the guide on her phone, instead focusing on dealing with the grumpy man next to her.

Otherwise, it won’t be fun at all.

"It’s rare for you to come out and play with me, yet you still want to show me that face?" Audrey spoke delicately, afraid that raising her voice even a bit would add fuel to the fire.

Shane Warner gave her a cold glance, replying, "Aren’t I always like this?"

Audrey immediately shook her head, "It’s not the same. Although you usually don’t like smiling, your eyes look different, and your tone is different."

Shane said, "What’s different then?"

"I can’t say exactly, but you can feel it."

Shane couldn’t help but pull at the corner of his mouth and smile.

A smile immediately appeared on Audrey’s face too, "Hey! See, you’re different from a moment ago now."

As soon as she finished speaking, Shane’s face hardened again.

Audrey leaned closer to him, seriously looked at him, and said, "Actually, you look really nice when you smile. You should smile more, it keeps you young."

Instead of smiling, he frowned as if annoyed by her noise, then rolled down the car window and turned to look outside.

Facing the outside of the car where Audrey couldn’t see, he couldn’t help but let the corners of his mouth curl up.

"Are you hungry? I have cookies in my bag."

Shane managed his expression, turned to her, and asked, "Not eating lunch?"

"Having lunch is such a waste of time. We’re hardly gonna finish all the attractions if we keep stopping. If you’re hungry, have this." She said, pulling out a loaf of bread from her bag, "It’s cheese-filled, tastes good."

Shane couldn’t be bothered to look at it and once again turned his head slightly toward the window, "Not hungry."

Audrey put the bread back, "Alright, let me know if you get hungry."

Shane remained silent, not bothering about lunch either.

Because he really thought, there would surely be many snacks sold in the amusement park, and she’d probably be eating along the way, so she wouldn’t go hungry.

Though he doubted the nutritional value and cleanliness of those snacks, he figured it was okay to indulge her since they went out to have fun.

Half an hour car ride brought them to the parking lot at the east gate of the amusement park.

Probably because it’s the weekend and during event timings, there were more people than expected.

The driver uncle went inside to find a parking spot, so Audrey led Shane directly to the ticket collection booth.

The weather was nice today, with gentle golden sunlight that didn’t burn.

Late March coincided with the cherry blossoms blooming in the park; just the cherry blossom enthusiasts already seemed quite numerous.

Audrey collected the tickets and came out, looking down at the information on the tickets as she walked toward Shane.

"Look, the ticket says entering at nine in the morning is the best time," she looked as if she had suffered a huge loss.

But Shane merely glanced at the ticket in her hand and said nothing, feeling that playing for an afternoon was more than sufficient.

After all, playing can be quite tiring.

Moreover, it was only twelve o’clock now, not exactly late.

"Come on, let’s go get our tickets checked." Audrey grabbed Shane’s arm and headed toward the ticket check gate.

"Comrade Sutton?!"

While queueing, she noticed a girl in a pink hanfu running toward her from afar.

Just from the greeting, Audrey could guess it was Barry Barrett since only Barry called her comrade all the time.

In that Hanfu outfit, she looked quite elegant and ladylike, but seeing her sprinting toward Audrey seemed to shatter that illusion.

Not that anyone would care about their image at such an exhilarating moment, meeting each other here without any arrangement was indeed surprising yet delightful for Audrey.

Barry wasn’t new to wearing hanfu when going out, so Audrey wasn’t surprised. But Barry was dressed more exquisitely today, from makeup to hairstyle, so Audrey asked, "Bear, are you here for a date by chance?"

Barry pointed behind her as she spoke.

Audrey looked in the direction she pointed to see Nolan Hawke with his outdoor photography team, totaling five people.

Barry said, "It’s kind of a date; coincidentally, the cherry blossoms are blooming so Brother Hawke wanted to shoot some photos, fulfilling two purposes at once."

"You’ve practically become his exclusive model now."

Barry blushed with a smile, leaning close to Audrey and softly correcting, "No, I’m his private model."

Audrey jokingly glared at her, but at that moment, Nolan Hawke walked over to them.

His attire was quite casual yet fashionably avant-garde, with a simple style sans flashy decorations, but the combination uniquely retained a memorable touch, showcasing his personal style.

Apparently, Nolan had assigned his assistant to collect the tickets and prepare photography equipment, so the other four headed elsewhere, leaving Nolan to walk over to Barry.

Upon arriving, he gently wrapped his arm around Barry, who didn’t react much, both behaving naturally evidently used to a couple’s relationship and such affectionate gestures.

Nolan first smiled at Audrey, considering she had worked as his model before, there was a hint of familiarity.

His gaze held on Audrey’s face for two seconds before addressing Shane, nodding with a smile, "Third Young Master Warner."

Shane knew about the relationship between Barry and Audrey. Seeing the man seemed to be Barry’s boyfriend, he courteously nodded back as a greeting.

Audrey introduced him to Shane, saying, "He’s Bear’s boyfriend, the photographer who clicked my portrait last time."

Shane didn’t seem too enthusiastic about making new friends, so nodding slightly was his way of being polite.

Outside the garden was an ancient cherry tree, its pink blossoms clustered densely around the branches, with many people capturing photos underneath.

Nolan had his eyes on this spot for Barry to snap a few shots.

Audrey decided to wait for Barry to enter the park together, standing nearby.

Suddenly, she also wanted some photos but felt like her outfit wasn’t right today; the wine-red dress didn’t quite go together with the cherry blossoms.

Observing Barry pose beneath the tree, seasoned from years of cosplay shoots, she wasn’t fazed by the crowd watching, instead relishing the attention.

Even without seeing the results, Audrey knew the pictures would be stunning.

Barry was naturally beautiful and her attire was well-prepared, perfectly complementing the setting.

A little envious, Audrey turned to Shane, saying, "Should we come another day? I want a set of ancient-style photos too."

Shane furrowed his brow, "Didn’t you just have some taken? Why take so many?"

Clearly, he’s not fond of taking photos.
