Audrey Sutton felt particularly aggrieved when she heard what he said, and asked him, "What do you have to be aggrieved about? You slammed the door on me! You’re always the one mad at me, aren’t you?!"

Shane Warner teased her with a smile, "You’re just being petty."

Audrey Sutton lowered her gaze, the light in her eyes visibly dimmed, as if feeling a bit defeated.

After a few seconds of silence, she propped up her chin and looked at him, suddenly murmuring to him, "I really liked you last night."

Unexpectedly, she spoke so directly to him, Shane Warner was stunned for a moment, his heart skipped a beat because of her words, but none of this showed on his face.

His expression remained as calm as ever, and he teased her, "So does that mean you don’t like the current me?"

Audrey Sutton seemed not in the mood for jokes, whether she was hungry or sleepy, she appeared lazy and listless.

She kept staring at him for quite a while, as if trying to discern something from his face. From her increasingly furrowed brows, it was clear she was growing more confused the more she looked.

With serious eyes and tone, she asked him, "Honestly, do you have a little bit of affection for me?"

Shane Warner set aside his teasing smile, and looking at her sincerely, he didn’t give a clear answer but said, "You’ve only been chasing me for a few days? Getting impatient so soon? If you don’t get a response, are you planning to give up?"

Audrey Sutton shook her head, "I wouldn’t give up, but if I don’t get any reaction from you, it makes me feel very defeated. Loving someone one-sidedly is really tiring, you know?"

Shane Warner didn’t expect her to reveal these little thoughts to him, and indeed, he never thought she’d feel this way.

Audrey Sutton felt more confused, scratched her head, her voice smaller than before, her tone was less confident and sure, "I feel like you kind of like me."

Shane Warner: "Then that’s kind of it."

Although his answer sounded perfunctory, it was better than a denial.

She took a deep breath, like a deflated balloon being filled again, sat up straight, her gaze becoming firm again, and she muttered quietly, "I’ll definitely make you like me."

Shane Warner curved his lips into a smile, picked up the glass jug of juice, and refilled her nearly empty cup.

Then he heard her ask, "So... have I kind of caught you now?"

"Hmm?"

"I mean... can we now be considered boyfriend and girlfriend? Officially start dating?"

Shane Warner chuckled, gently set down the glass jug, and said to her, "Delete all the male model photos on your phone, and I’ll consider you barely qualified, and I’ll agree to be your boyfriend."

Audrey Sutton immediately took out her phone, "I’ll delete them now!"

Then she heard Shane Warner’s chilly voice, "There really are male model photos?"

Audrey Sutton paused in her scrolling, realizing he was setting a trap for her, grinned ingratiatingly at him, and said while deleting photos, "I promise there won’t be any in the future!"

Shane Warner slightly tilted his head and asked her, "Are they more attractive, or am I?"
