Chapter 190: Chapter 190: I Don’t Believe You

Audrey Sutton knew Shane Warner meant she had no figure, so she felt quite upset.

She pulled her hand away from his, reaching out to snatch the keys he was holding in his other hand.

But Shane Warner simply raised his hand, keeping Audrey Sutton out of reach no matter how high she jumped.

"Are you going to sleep?"

"Give me the keys first."

"The keys are for emergencies, I won’t casually open your door next time, hurry up and go to sleep." He coaxed her in a gentle tone.

Audrey Sutton stood in front of him, skeptically studying him for a few seconds, then said, "I don’t believe you."

Shane Warner didn’t bother to argue any longer; he directly bent down, picked her up, and tossed her onto the bed, quickly wrapping her in the blanket, "Go to sleep, what are you fussing about at night?"

He pressed down on the blanket, making her unable to move her hands or feet. Audrey Sutton glared at him in dissatisfaction but was helpless.

"Goodnight." He said to her with a smile.

At the end, he gently patted the blanket with his hand, as if to lull her to sleep.

He then stood up and walked out of the room, helping to turn off the lights before he closed the door.

Audrey Sutton nestled in the blanket, sighed deeply, and felt too lazy to get up and lock the door. Anyway, he could come in.

She turned over in the blanket, settling into a comfortable sleeping position.

She was thinking in her head that he obviously had entered her room before, only she was asleep every time.

She couldn’t help but be curious about what he did when she was asleep.

Whenever she woke up, she hadn’t noticed any unusual reactions in her body, indicating he hadn’t done anything to her.

Could it be he was just checking if she was sleeping obediently?

Or... was he sneaking in to steal the adult books in her room?

Thinking of this possibility, Audrey Sutton glanced at the books on her shelf, turned on the light again, and went to check the bookshelf; her treasured few adult editions were still there, so she sighed in relief.

Then she looked around the room again; nothing seemed to be missing.

So he probably was only checking the room.

After all, like he said, if he wanted to take advantage of her, he wouldn’t need to sneak secretly at night.

And he seemed to really disdain her figure.

Audrey Sutton lowered her head to look at her chest, which under the loose pajamas seemed even flatter.

She let out a long sigh, turned back into the blanket, turned off the overhead light, and closed her eyes to sleep.

He could do whatever he wanted; anyway... he had already slept over.

The next day.

Audrey Sutton woke up before the alarm sounded.

After struggling for a while, she crawled out of bed to go to the bathroom; only after using the toilet did she feel entirely refreshed.

The weather seemed pretty good today; she could already see the sunshine outside the window.

When she opened the door to leave, she heard Shane Warner already exercising in the gym.

She stood hesitantly at the door for a while, then walked towards the gym.

He was running on the treadmill in a set of white sportswear, long sleeves and pants, well-covered, not showing the things she wanted to see.

She stood by the door and didn’t make a sound, not knowing how he noticed she had come, he turned his head while running and glanced at her, speaking steadily, "Awake?"

"I was afraid someone would open my door, didn’t sleep well all night."

"But I saw you sleeping soundly when I went in last night."

Audrey Sutton was startled: "You came in twice?!"

Shane Warner chuckled, turned off the treadmill and wiped the sweat from his temples with the towel on his shoulder, saying as he approached her, "I’m kidding you, I just couldn’t find Pea downstairs last night before sleep, worried it had run out, so I checked your room, thinking you were asleep, I didn’t knock on the door."

This was a reason he made up just before going to bed last night.

Audrey Sutton felt this statement was quite credible indeed, and she had not figured out the reason for him entering her room either; as she glanced at him a few times now, he didn’t seem to be lying.

Audrey Sutton then replied, "It usually likes to sleep in the cardboard box, sometimes hiding in there."

Shane Warner nodded, turned to the pull-up bar, and began doing pull-ups.

Audrey Sutton knew he didn’t like to talk while exercising, so she didn’t stay at the door to disturb him and turned to go downstairs to prepare breakfast.

Only as she walked downstairs did she wonder, when did he start caring about Pea?

In the afternoon, while Audrey Sutton was lying on her dorm bed playing with her phone, Simon Sue sent her several gift links.

Men’s belts, wallets, watches, and even clothes, all things Shane Warner wouldn’t usually wear.

She felt Simon Sue was merely sending her things he wanted from his own shopping cart.

Apparently, Simon Sue was unreliable as well.

Later, Simon Sue said a sentence: Actually, you should just take him out shopping; if he sees something he wants, you can get it for him.

Audrey Sutton thought of her fifth brother’s upcoming birthday; she could use asking Shane Warner to help her pick a gift for her brother as an excuse to probe and maybe figure out what he liked.

Thinking this way, at noon while delivering lunch to him at the company, she asked him: "Do you have any time these days?"

"Why?"

"My fifth brother’s birthday is coming up, I don’t know what gift to buy him, I think you guys know men better, so I thought if you have some free time, you could come shopping with me."

Shane Warner didn’t doubt her; he merely paused like considering unfinished work, then asked her, "You have no classes this afternoon?"

Audrey Sutton shook her head: "No."

He said, "Let’s go in a while then."

Audrey Sutton was a bit surprised; she had thought to simply let him go with her whenever he was available, didn’t expect him to immediately make time: "I’m not in a hurry, my brother’s birthday isn’t until next week, anytime this week is fine."

Shane Warner laughed: "Whenever it’s accompanying you, there’s always time."

Audrey Sutton wasn’t sure if he was joking, but hearing it she couldn’t help but blush, her heart pounding, and she quickly changed the subject: "Then eat up."

The times they went out shopping together could be counted on one hand, last time was abroad.

After leaving the company by car, Shane Warner drove directly to the shopping district Audrey Sutton mentioned.

It wasn’t the weekend and wasn’t a holiday, yet still quite lively.

Not a few photographers on the roadside with cameras doing street photography.

Audrey Sutton suddenly regretted not going home to dress up before going out with him.

He seemed always handsome and charming, especially in such a formal suit, rare to see in the street, tall, handsome, with a good physique, eye-catching everywhere.

Just after getting out of the car, Audrey Sutton saw a camera on the roadside shooting towards them.

Though she wasn’t sure if it was filming Shane Warner.

Shane Warner looked utterly fearless of the camera, nonchalantly wrapping an arm around Audrey Sutton, lowering his head to ask her: "Where shall we go first?"
