Manaless Mage-Chapter 319: Let’s end this now
Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Let’s end this now
A sudden tremor pulsed through the battlefield.
Then—
Fwoom!!
A dark wave swept outward from Adolf’s feet.
The shadow burst across the ground like a flood of ink, devouring everything in its path.
Stones, dirt, and broken debris were swallowed whole beneath the undulating mass of black mana.
It rolled with purpose—malicious, alive—as though the darkness itself sought to drag all things down into an abyss.
Harry’s eyes widened.
"Tch!"
Without wasting a heartbeat, he leapt into the air—just as the shadow tendrils reached the spot where he’d been standing.
Fwoosh!
The moment his boots left the ground, jagged spires of black erupted upward.
CRACK!!
Dozens of shadow spikes burst from the earth, like fangs tearing through flesh.
They split the terrain apart, sending thick chunks of stone and soil flying in every direction.
The explosion of force beneath him sent shockwaves into the air, rattling Harry’s balance even mid-jump.
He twisted, flipping backwards, and narrowed his eyes at the destruction below.
’That was too close.’
His gaze darted toward Adolf.
The demonic figure stood amidst the storm of his own creation, wreathed in smoke and shadow.
His wings flared wide, his clawed fingers twitching in anticipation. That savage grin was back on his face—feral, bloodthirsty.
"Don’t you forget..." Adolf shouted, his voice warped and thunderous, echoing through the battlefield like a crashing wave. "I can fly!"
With a single, powerful flap of his wings—
Boom!!
Adolf vanished in a gust of wind, the force of it carving a trench in the earth where he once stood.
Harry’s instincts screamed.
He barely turned his head before—
WHAM!!
Adolf appeared behind him mid-air, almost like a shadow blinking into existence. His fist, the size of a boulder and wrapped in shadow, surged toward Harry’s head with terrifying speed.
Harry was taken off guard by the sheer swiftness.
Since he was still in the air, his momentum was affected, leaving him vulnerable, unable to fully twist around or use his daggers to parry.
"Tch...!"
With no other option, he threw his arms in front of his face, palms crossed to shield his head.
In the same moment, he channeled a good amount of energy, pouring it into activating a skill.
’Earth Skin!’
A pulse of energy surged through his limbs, and his forearms immediately took on a hard, dark brown sheen—like stone forged under immense pressure.
Just as the skill fully activated—
BOOM!!
Adolf’s fist slammed into Harry’s arms with bone-crushing force.
The impact was cataclysmic.
Harry’s body flew like a ragdoll through the air, sent spiraling backward at breakneck speed.
Wind howled past his ears, his stomach flipped from the force, and he could feel the tremor of the hit all the way down to his spine—even with Earth Skin.
His arms throbbed a bit from the force of the strike.
Adolf’s laughter rang out behind him.
"You’re not so tough when you’re the one getting hit!!"
The demonic figure gave chase instantly, his wings flapping hard as he shot forward like a black arrow. The wind curved around his form, and his eyes burned with cruel excitement.
He could feel it.
This was his chance.
His opportunity to overwhelm Harry, to turn the tides of battle in one fell swoop.
Adolf surged forward, claws raised.
’I’ll tear you apart!!’
He closed the distance quickly, and with a savage roar, slashed his claws downward—aiming to cleave Harry into bloody ribbons before he could stabilize himself in the air.
The claws gleamed like obsidian sickles, glowing faintly with dark energy.
But Harry wasn’t entirely defenseless.
Still tumbling through the air, his eyes narrowed.
His instincts kicked in.
’Fiery Wings!’ He mind raced, and a pulse of energy erupted from his back.
FWOOSH!!
A brilliant pair of wings burst out from his shoulder blades—glowing with radiant orange flame, their form composed entirely of swirling fire.
Each feather flickered like molten embers, trailing sparks as they unfurled majestically.
Swoosh!
The wings flapped with a thunderous whoosh—heat blasting outward like a furnace being thrown open.
With that single flap, Harry propelled himself sideways at high speed—his figure turning into a flaming blur.
WHOOSH!!
Adolf’s claws sliced through the air where Harry had been a split-second ago.
Five dark claw swipes tore out from the path of his strike, each one curving like a blade of shadow.
They slammed into the ground with thunderous impact—
BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
Explosions rocked the earth. Chunks of soil and stone were sent flying in all directions as trenches were ripped out of the ground.
An entire portion of the field was shredded—trees in the distance buckled and snapped from the shockwaves. Dust and debris rained from the sky like ash after a wildfire.
However, Harry didn’t stop moving, keeping his focus on his target.
He curved around mid-air, wings still beating powerfully.
His eyes locked onto Adolf—who was still mid-swing, off balance, momentarily stunned that Harry was able to dodge his attack.
’Don’t waste the opening.’
He rocketed forward.
Fire trailed in his wake like the tail of a comet.
’Fire Punch!’ He thought, focusing more energy into his fists.
BOOM!!
Both fists erupted into flame—roaring, vicious fire that swirled around his arms like hungry beasts.
The heat was palpable even from afar, and the flames shifted color slightly toward white-hot at the core.
The air around his fists shimmered violently.
He reached Adolf in a heartbeat.
The demonic figure’s eyes widened—but too late.
Harry twisted his body in mid-air and threw a punch.
FWOOM!!
His blazing fist slammed into Adolf’s cheek.
CRACK!!
The sound echoed across the battlefield—like bone cracking beneath a hammer.
Then—
BOOOOOM!!!
A massive fire blast erupted on contact.
The force of the impact launched Adolf like a missile—his massive frame hurtled through the air, his wings flailing behind him uselessly.
As if that wasn’t enough, the spot where Harry’s fist had landed erupted in another fiery explosion, the shockwave blasting out in a wide radius.
The blast swallowed Adolf whole, flames engulfing his body mid-flight.
A moment later, his charred form smashed into the earth with earth-shattering force—
KRA-KOOM!!
The ground split apart where he landed, a miniature crater forming beneath his weight. Smoke, fire, and debris spewed upward in a blazing pillar.
The smell of scorched dirt filled the air.
Fortunately for him, the shadow spikes he casted before had already came undone, disintegrating into thin air.
Harry hovered above it all, wings of fire flapping steadily behind him.
His eyes narrowed as he watched the smoke rise.
’If not for these skills I learnt from Leon’s memories... I’ll be toast.’ He thought, his lips curling into a wry smile.
He couldn’t even imagine the kind of state he wouid be in right now if he hadn’t evolved.
It would probably be similar to Miranda’s current condition, rendered completely unable to even fight back.
[Haha! Maybe that’s right... but then, you being able to master them all so easily is still impressive.]
’I guess...’ Harry replied, narrowing his eyes at the crater where Adolf landed.
He knew that attack wasn’t enough to kill him, but then, he didn’t want to drag out this fight any longer.
’Let’s end this now.’ He thought, stretching his hands to the side.
