Chapter 212: Hydra Surge!

Suddenly, a large amount of mana erupted from Trent, causing Wes and the rest of audience to gasp in surprise.

Splosh!

"Hydra Surge!" Trent shouted, spreading his hand to the sides. A large stream of water swiftly rose up from his legs, rising up to his torso.

Slosh!!

The water stream burst out to the sides, morphing into six large tentacles which wriggled menacingly in the air.

Kroomm!!

Just as the giant rock pillars were about to close in on Trent, five of the water tentacles swiftly shot towards them.

Bam!!

The large tentacles pierced through the earth pillars, effortlessly shattering down into pieces.

After destroying the troublesome pillars, Trent gently descended back to the ground, using the water tentacles to balance himself on the ground.

The large tendrils planted themselves firmly on the ground, serving as his legs, while Trent hovered in the middle.

A small stream of water still flowed around his torso, coating him down to his legs. Coupled with the water tentacles spreading out below his abdomen, the lower half of him resembled an upside-down water hydra.

His gaze drifted back to Wes, and a sinister smirk appeared on his lips, when he saw the shocked expression on the Elementalist’s face.

’What kind of spell is that...?’ Wes thought, biting his lips in frustration.

Whoosh!

He wasn’t given enough time to ponder in it though, as one of the tentacles suddenly shot towards him.

"Earth glide!" He shouted, and a thick lump of earth swiftly rose up from the ground, connecting with his feet.

Bam!!!

With a swift dash, he glided to the side, narrowly avoiding the tentacle, which crashed into the ground with a loud thud.

"Wow Trent! Nice you see you turn into a tentacle monster! You already got the brains of a squid, it’s a really fitting transformation for you!" He didn’t miss his chance to taunt Trent, while gliding on the ground at rapid speed.

"Tentacle monster... squid brains..." Trent muttered, scoffing under his breath. "Do you think taunting me will help you? Fool!"

Swoosh!!

Slosh!!

He immediately stretched his hand forward, shooting out three of the tentacles towards Wes.

The attacks closed in on the Elementalists from all sides, their large, pointed tips rapidly descending down upon him.

Kroommm!!!

"Earth Wall!!" Wes shouted, and instantly, a giant, stone wall rose up from the ground in front of him, extending to the sides.

Boom!!

The tentacles struck the wall with full force, filling the air with a loud exploding sound.

The wall trembled violently due to the force behind the hit, but it still remained standing, withstanding the attack.

"Charge!" Wes said, hurriedly thrusting his hand forward.

Kroom!!

Following his hand movements, the giant wall shot forwards, pushing back the water tentacles.

Fwissh!!

However, Trent didn’t plan on letting his attack be repelled so easily. He quickly shot the tentacles forward once more, this time channeling even more power into them.

Due to this, the water tentacles pushed back against the wall, and the two spells violently clashed against each other.

Crack!

Initially, it seemed like the two attacks were evenly matched, however, a large crack suddenly appeared on the wall, rapidly spreading across the surface.

Crack!!

In the next second, the tentacles tore through the wall, breaking it into pieces.

Wes’ eyes widened in horror, as the three large tendrils charged towards him again.

Out of all the earth Elementalists in the academy, he was one of the strongest... meaning that, his element’s defence was also very high.

However, Trent completely shattered it into pieces, with minimal effort at that.

Slosh!!

He quickly tried gliding away in an attempt to escape the giant tentacles, but unfortunately, the water tendrils pursued him with even greater speed.

He could barely react, as the three tentacles slammed into his abdomen, hurtling him into the air.

"Arrgh!!" He grunted in agony, blood spewing from his mouth. It felt like he had been struck by a train, knocking the air out of his lungs.

Splosh!!

As if that wasn’t enough, the three tentacles shot up to the air, still very active in their pursuit.

While he was still reeling from the pain of the first strike, the water tendrils flew up above him, before striking down on his chest.

"Arrgh!!" Wes shouted, blood spraying out of his mouth once more.

Thwack!!

The tentacles pushed him down from the air, and his back crashed into the hard ground.

"Arck!" He could only groan in pain, with blood continuously spurting out from his mouth as he laid helplessly on the ground.

His whole boy felt sore from the crash, especially his torso, and he couldn’t even summon enough focus to cast a basic spell.

Trent scoffed at the pathetic state of his opponent.

Slosh!!

He calmly retracted two of the water tentacles, using the last one to pick Wes up from the ground and draw him closer.

"Arrgh..." Wes let out a low groan as his eyes locked with Trent’s. Blood trickled from the corners of his lips, pooling around his chin.

The large tentacle coiled even tighter around his torso, and he released a low gasp, still trying to hold back the pain.

"You... how d-did you get... this powerful...?" He muttered, albeit with some difficulty.

"Hehe." Trent chuckled, before replying. "I think the right question is... how’d you get this weak? I thought you were the ohh-so-great Elementalist, and I was your little disciple, who you took in out of pity." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"Remember those words..." He continued, cocking an eyebrow at the Elementalist.

"Hehe..." Wes chuckled lightly, his lips curling into a strained smirk. "Don’t get so cocky just because you learned a powerful spell... you’re still my little disciple."

"Ohh... really, how pathetic. I guessed you haven’t learned enough yet!" Trent said, suddenly tightening his grip around Wes’ torso.

"Argh..." Wes groaned, but the smirk on his face remained, something which annoyed Trent.

His brows kept twitching in annoyance, and he kept gritting his teeth. "Wipe that smirk off yo—"

"Earth... Spikes." Wes muttered, summoning the last strength within him to cast another spell.

Swoosh!!

Suddenly, five rock spikes materialised behind Trent, however, he simply swiped one of the tentacles, easily knocking them away.

"Is that it, a last ditch effort. How pathetic." Trent muttered, shaking his head slightly in disappointment.

"Yeah... that’s what I wanted you to think." Wes mumbled, with a wide smirk on his face.
