Manaless Mage-Chapter 211: Trent Vs Wes
Chapter 211: Trent Vs Wes
"Water Sphere!" Trent shouted, hurriedly conjuring a large ball of water before shooting it towards Wes.
Slosh!!
The giant water sphere soared through the air with tremendous speed, its swirling currents creating a turbulent vortex around it.
"Earth Disc!!" Wes quickly casted his own spell, to defend himself from the incoming attack.
Two large, thin discs materialised in front of him almost immediately, and with a swift wave of his hand, the earth discs flew towards the giant sphere of water at rapid speed.
Splash!!
The two discs cleaved through the giant body of water, albeit with some difficulty, dividing it into three parts.
Splosh!
The water sphere instantly exploded into tiny droplets, dispersing into the air like a shimmering blue mist.
After that first exchange, the two Elementalists wasted no time, hurriedly casting another spell.
"Cobra’s Bite!!" Wes shouted, stretching his hand upwards.
Slosh!!
Immediately, a large stream of water appeared above him, before rapidly taking shape into a giant cobra’s head.
The water cobra spread out its hood, with its mouth wide open, displaying a set of sharp fangs.
"Eat this Trent!!" He shouted, with a smug expression on his face.
He hurriedly thrusted his hand forwards, launching the giant cobra’s head towards Trent.
Fwoosh!!
The water cobra flew through the air at insane speed, its fangs speedily closing in on the brown haired Elementalist.
However, despite the attack heading towards him, Trent simply snickered, before stretching his right hand forward.
"Hydro Fist Surge!" Immediately, water surged from his right shoulder, thickly coating the whole arm.
Splash!!
In the next moment, the water blasted forward, swiftly merging together to form a large hand of water.
Slosh!!
The large cobra’s head crashed into the giant water palm in the air, and the hand swiftly clenched into a tight fist, effortlessly crushing the cobra’s head within its grip.
Splash!
The spell instantly dissolved into droplets, disintegrating as they fell down to the ground.
Wes’s eyes widened in shock, as he watched his spell break so easily before the giant hand.
’What the hell?! He... crushed it, so easily...’ He thought, his brows furrowing into a deep frown.
"Don’t think about it too much, I told you before... you don’t stand a chance against me!" Trent shouted, flashing a smug smile at the Elementalist.
Splosh!!
The water hand suddenly charged towards Wes, with its palm wide open.
"I don’t stand a chance?! Don’t get too cocky, idiot!" Wes shouted, hurriedly casting another spell.
Kraaa!!
"Earth-Hand Surge!" Immediately, thick brown rocks materialised over his arms, before shooting forward, taking the shape of two large, crude hands.
Kroom!!
Clenching into tight fists, the two hands shot forward, with one going for the giant water hand, and the other aiming straight for Trent.
Bam!!
Splash!!
One of the fists slammed into the water palm, exploding it into tiny droplets, while the other kept charging forward.
Trent’s eyes flashed with a strange glint as he stared at the incoming attack, however, rather than try to dodge, his lips curled into a sinister smirk.
"Hehe... bad idea." He muttered, letting out a light chuckle. "Water arrows!"
Fwissh!!
Twenty water arrows swiftly formed above him before shooting towards Wes at rapid speed.
The arrows curved away from the giant rock fists, however, a few of them still crashed into it, dissolving back into water.
As for the rest, they sped past the fists, descending down on Wes from all directions.
Seeing the incoming arrows, Wes’ face squeezed into a deep frown.
"Water Barrier!" He shouted, summoning a small, semi-circular barrier of water, which protected him completely.
Swish!!
The barrage of arrows rained down on the barrier, rapidly dissolving back into liquid.
"Water Burst!" Just as the first earth fist was about to hit him, Trent quickly leapt up, propelling himself with a small, yet powerful blast of water.
Bang!!
The rock fist missed its target due to this, slamming into the ground with a loud bang.
Using another small burst of water to push himself, Trent gently landed on the crude surface of the hand.
"Wind Steps." Wind rapidly gathered around his legs, boosting his speed.
Whoosh!!
Utilising his enhanced speed, he sprinted forward, heading straight for Wes.
’You sure are an annoying pest!’ Wes thought, swinging his left arm as if he wanted to catch a bug.
Kroomm!!
The other earth hand swiftly shifted its focus to Trent, rapidly descending on him.
"Crescent Blade!" Seeing the giant palm closing in on him, Trent briefly halted his steps, hurriedly casting another spell.
Whoosh!
A thin, sharp crescent-shaped blade materialised out of the wind, swiftly hurtling towards the large, rocky palm.
Swishhh!!
The blade quickly closed in on the hand, cleanly slicing it down to the wrist.
The giant earth hand immediately broke into pieces, before crumbling into tiny brown particles.
Wes’ eyes widened in shock at the sight of this, and the frown of his face deepened even further.
’Again?! He easily broke my spell!’ He thought.
’Could it be... that his spells are just that much more powerful than mine?!’ The thought crossed his mind for a split second, however, he immediately rejected it.
They were both in the same mana core stage... it just didn’t make any sense. He didn’t dwell on it too much though, especially since he was still in a fight, and simply pushed it to the back of his mind.
His gaze turned back to Trent, who was still running on the large earth arm, with his hand stretched towards him.
Wes scoffed, suddenly twisting the rocky hand to the side, in a bid to throw the Elementalist to the ground.
"Wind Burst." However, the moment the giant arm turned, Trent launched himself in the air using a small blast of wind.
Seeing that his plan didn’t work, Wes’ eyes narrowed slightly and he quickly dissolved the spell, causing the giant arm to disintegrate into tiny particles.
Suddenly, he felt mana surge from beneath his feet, and his eyes widened slightly in shock.
"Water Spike!" In the next second, Trent’s loud shout drifted into his ears, and the realisation hit him.
Unbeknownst to him, the dissolved liquid from the water arrows Trent unleashed earlier hadn’t completely disintegrated.
Some still remained, slowly gathering around his feet. However, the mana within them was only small, and since he was only focusing his mana sense on Trent, he didn’t sense them.
Slosh!!
Before he could even react, a long, thin water spike swiftly shot up from the ground, piercing him deeply in his thigh.
Spurt!
"Arrgh!" He grunted in pain, as blood spurted out of the wound.
’Damn it! I was too focused on him, and I even forget to monitor my surroundings.’ He thought, letting out another pained grunt.
’To think Trent would do something like this though... I didn’t expect this.’ He mumbled inwardly, his eyes narrowing deeply.
Nonetheless, he couldn’t afford to take his eyes off his opponent, as he knew better than anyone that Trent wouldn’t go easy on him despite his wound.
Apart from that, this was the perfect time for him to attack! Due to the earth hand disintegrating, Trent had lost his footing, leaving him defenceless in the air.
"Rising Pillars!" Wes shouted, swinging his hand upwards.
Boom!!
Boom!!
Boom!!
Immediately, five large rock pillars shot up from the ground, with one heading straight for Trent.
’Shit!’ Trent thought, his eyes widening in shock.
He quickly tried balancing himself in the air, however, it was already too late.
Bam!!
The last thing he saw was the crude surface of the pillar, before it slammed into his torso.
"Argh!!" He shouted in pain, blood spraying out of his mouth. The force behind the hit sent him flying into the air, with blood trailing from his lips.
The rough surface of the pillar didn’t help either, and It felt like his chest had been hit by a barrage of heavy rocks.
Although he was already expecting an attack from Wes, he didn’t think he’d use such a powerful spell, so he was caught off guard by the giant pillars.
Boom!!
After hitting him, the pillar swiftly retracted back to the ground, before shooting towards him once more.
However, this time Trent was ready, as he didn’t plan on letting such an attack hit him again.
Slosh!!
"Hydro Fist Surge!" He shouted, and a giant water fist immediately surged forth from his hand.
Bam!!!!
Splosh!!
The giant fist of water struck the earth pillar with great force, instantly crushing it into pieces.
The broken pieces rapidly scattered into tiny brown particles, vanishing into thin air.
Seeing how Trent once again destroyed his spell in a single strike, Wes’ brows furrowed in a deep frown.
Nonetheless, he didn’t break his focus. It didn’t matter how powerful Trent’s spells were, as long as the pillars hit him, he would surely be greatly affected.
Since one of the attacks had already hit him, Wes felt quite glad, as he planned on bombarding him with even more pillars.
"Water healing." He muttered, conjuring a small bubble of water around his wound in order to heal it.
He then made a few swift hand signs, before clasping his hands together.
Boom!!
Boom!!
Boom!!
Immediately, the giant pillars shot upwards again, and the one that was previously destroyed by Trent rapidly regenerated, shooting towards him once more.
The pillars sharply curved in the air, rapidly closing in on Trent from all angles.
Trent’s face squeezed into a deep frown, as he stared at the large pillars flying towards him.
He was completely trapped, and although there was still a small space above him, he doubted he could reach there before he was crushed by Wes’ spell.
’I didn’t think I’d have to use this, but I don’t have a choice...’ He thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.
