Chapter 208: Henry Vs Sandra

’Damn it!’ Henry cursed inwardly, gritting his teeth in frustration at the sight of the wind arrows rapidly closing in on him.

From the way she was bombarding him with spells, it was clear that her plan was to overwhelm him in this duel, without giving him a chance to counter-attack!

"Water Barrier!" He shouted once more, hurriedly summoning an even larger barrier of water above him, which shielded him from the rain of arrows.

Slosh!!

The barrage of arrows hammered against the barrier relentlessly, their sheer numbers seemingly endless.

However, their momentum was absorbed by the barrier of water, leaving Henry unscathed beneath its watery embrace.

Sandra’s eyes narrowed slightly, seeing how Henry guarded himself against the arrows.

Behind her narrowed gaze lay a mixture of admiration for his skill, and a hint of caution, easily recognising the threat he posed to her in this duel.

"Water Sphere!" She shouted, stretching her hands towards Henry.

Whoosh!!

A large amount of water materialised in front of her, swirling violently before coalescing into a massive orb.

Swoosh!

The water orb immediately shot towards Henry, rapidly closing in on him.

Seeing another incoming attack, the Elementalist gritted his teeth in frustration.

He was still holding up the shield to guard himself from the onslaught of arrows, and yet Sandra had already launched another attack against him.

Her plan might have worked if she was up against any other Elementalist, however, he was no pushover when it came to elemental power!

"Crescent Blade!" He shouted, lightly stumping his foot on the ground.

Whoosh!

A long, crescent-shaped blade swiftly formed out of the air in front of him, before charging at the incoming water sphere at rapid speed.

Swoosh!!

Bang!

The long wind blade clashed against the giant, swirling ball of water, their collision echoing fiercely through the air.

For a few seconds, the attacks kept clashing with each other, however, the wind blade won at the end. With a sudden twist, it cut right through the middle of the large water sphere, cleaving it into two halves.

Slosh!

The sliced halves of the water sphere parted to the side, rapidly crumbling into tiny dots, vanishing into thin air.

Whoosh!

As for the crescent blade, it continued on its path, flying straight towards Sandra.

Sandra let out a low hiss as she stared at the incoming attack. She hurriedly channeled her elemental mana, before casting another spell to counter it.

"Water stream." She muttered, positioning her palms above each other.

Splosh!!

A large amount of water speedily formed between her palms, flowing steadily from one hand to the other like a small stream.

Just as the blade was about to close in on her, she swiftly swiped her hand at it, sending out a powerful stream of water.

Thang!

The streamlet hit the blade mid-air, effortlessly deflecting it to the side.

Due to clash with the water sphere, the blade’s speed had already reduced greatly, making it a lot easier to block or deflect.

"Water Barrier!" Henry shouted, conjuring another oval barrier of water, this time much smaller, about the same size as a small door.

The downpour of arrows had finally stopped, giving him the chance to focus on attacking.

Slosh!

"Charge!" He said, thrusting his hands forward.

Fwoosh!

In response to his gesture, the oval barrier of water surged forward with great speed, rapidly closing in on Sandra.

Seeing the barrier charging towards her, the Elementalist’s eyes widened slightly in shock.

Splash!

"Aqua Glide!" She shouted, summoning a large volume of water beneath her, which seamlessly connected to her feet.

Slosh!!

Using the water coursing around her legs, she swiftly glided to the side, the waves greatly enhancing her speed.

Trying to break or deflect the barrier would be nothing short of a waste of time, so she decided it was best she avoided it instead.

Whoosh!

The water barrier flew past her, rapidly dissolving into liquid before disintegrating into thin air.

"Water Blast!" She shouted, swiftly summoning a large stream of water, before blasting it towards Henry.

Boom!

The water surged forward, rapidly closing in on the Elementalist.

Henry’s eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of the powerful blast approaching him. He hurriedly stretched his hand forward, in preparation to counter the spell.

Whoosh!

"Cyclone Crush!!" He shouted, tightly clenching his right fist before thrusting it towards the water blast.

Swoosh!!!

Whoosh!!

Violent winds speedily appeared around his fist as he punched forward, merging into a small, yet powerful cyclone of air.

Fwoosh!!!

His fist collided with the water blast, the two momentarily halting in the air, before a powerful wind cyclone suddenly burst forth from Henry’s fist, ripping through the heart of the water blast.

Bam!

Splash!

With a deafening roar, the blast exploded into a dazzling spray of droplets, scattering in a mesmerizing display of power.

Slosh!

The water poured to the ground like rain, and Sandra’s eyes widened in shock.

’What kind of spell was that?!’ She thought, feeling a cold chill run down her spine.

However, Henry didn’t give her enough time to process her thoughts, before launching another attack.

"Cyclone Blast!" He shouted, pulling back both of his fists as he channeled the spell.

Fwoosh!

Wind immediately enveloped his hands, spiraling outwards with ferocious intensity.

With a swift stomp on the ground, he thrusted both fists forward, one after the other, in rapid succession.

Fwoosh!!!

With a thunderous roar, two small cyclones of swirling wind erupted from his fists, tearing through the air as they rapidly closed in on Sandra.

Sandra’s eyes widened in shock, and she swiftly casted a spell to defend herself from the incoming attacks.

Just from the sight of those cyclones alone, she knew they would be more than enough to send her flying out of the stage.

"Water Barrier!" She shouted, instantly conjuring a large, rectangular barrier of water to shield herself from the blasts.

Boom!

In a split second, the cyclones slammed into the barrier, going off in a powerful blast of air.

The continuous onslaught of swirling winds relentlessly pounded against the barrier, pushing it back slightly.

Sandra gnashed her teeth in frustration, as she poured more mana into the barrier, in a bid to hold it together.

However, the wind was just too powerful, and it kept pushing her back.

’Damn...’ She thought, veins popping at the sides of her forehead at she harnessed even more mana into the spell, hoping it was enough to push back against the blast.

’It’s so... strong!’ She mumbled inwardly, gritting her teeth in frustration. ’It’s best I redirect it.’

Henry, observing her struggle, couldn’t hold back the smug smirk that tugged at the corner of his lips.

Casting that spell took a large chunk of his mana, especially since he unleashed it twice, and seeing how effective it was, he felt a sense of gratification well up within him.

Nonetheless, he didn’t plan on passing up this chance, and he hurriedly started casting another spell.

"Water Blast!" He shouted, summoning a large volume of water, before shooting it towards Sandra.

Splosh!!

The water blasted through the air, spinning violently as it rapidly closed in on his opponent.

Sandra’s brows furrowed into a deep frown seeing the powerful blast of water heading towards her.

She quickly planted one of her feet firmly against the ground, leaning towards the water barrier, before infusing it with a surge of mana.

Swoosh!!

"Charge!" She yelled, and the barrier surged forward with great speed, knocking away the winds pressing against it.

Bang!

With a resounding bang, the water blast collided with the barrier mid-air, their collision creating a small gust of wind that swept to the side.

They clashed fiercely with each other, the two spells locked in a stalemate.

Crack!

However, a small crack suddenly appeared on the water barrier, and the water surge pushed it back.

Crack!

Sandra’s eyes widened in shock, as the cracks on her barrier swiftly started spreading across it.

Shatter!

Slosh!

With one final push, the barrier shattered into pieces, dissolving back into liquid, and the blast bursted through it, hurtling towards her at rapid speed.

In a split second, the blast closed in on Sandra, hammering into her torso with full force.

"Arrgh!" She grunted in pain, as the force behind the attack sent her flying, her body crashing into the ground before skidding to a halt.

Cough!

She coughed loudly, as she slowly rose up from the ground. A thin line of blood trialed from the corner of her lips, rolling down to her chin.

’I took a big hit.’ She mumbled inwardly, wiping off the blood on her chin with the back of her hand.

"Water Arrows!" Henry’s voice suddenly echoed in her ears, and the next thing she saw was a flood of arrows rapidly descending down on her.

During the time she was lying on the ground, Henry had already casted another spell.

He purposely sent a barrage of arrows just like she did to him a few minutes ago, as a form of payback.

"Hydro shield!" She shouted, hurriedly manifesting a large shield of water above her.

Slosh!

The arrows rained down on the shield, dissolving upon contact with the large shield of water, vanishing into thin air.

With a slight smirk playing on his lips, Harry seized the opportunity to press his advantage.

"Water Whip!" He shouted, summoning a long, thin water whip before sending it towards Sandra’s legs.

However, his opponent had already expected him to attack while she was busy.

"Charge!" She yelled as the water whip rapidly closed in on her.

Fwoosh!!

The large shield surged through the air, its momentum effortlessly knocking away the rain of arrows descending down against it.

"Hydro Fist Surge!" Sandra shouted, as she swiftly leapt backwards.

Thwack!

This caused the long water whip to miss her leg, smacking against the ground instead.
