In the arena, Han Zhang’s body moved slightly and he pushed himself up with his arms, his armor making clunking sounds.

He slowly stood straight with his back facing Leon; the curtain of snow made his wide armor back look fierce and domineering.

Leon’s face turned serious upon seeing this, and the disciples also quieted down, it turned out that the fight wasn’t over yet.

Han Zhang slowly turned around and faced Leon; on the chest plate of his armor was a faint glowing rune that shone with red light. The expression of everyone who noticed this immediately turned heavy, and their eyes narrowed; the armor had a protective formation drawn on it.

Although Leon didn’t know much about formations, he was able to tell that Han Zhang was only able to block his attack because of that red glowing rune on his armor; it must be a protective formation!

"To own such a priceless treasure, is that kid rich, or is the empire investing so much in him?" Bai Quing said softly, her voice was filled with concern for Leon. Was he going to be able to handle things now that it was revealed that his opponent possessed such a treasure?

Bam!

Han Zhang stomped his foot on the arena and caused his sword to shoot into the air, he grabbed it just before it could pass his waist level.

His red eyes gazed at Leon with clarity and focus, he grabbed the black hilt with both hands.

"That was a very strange technique, it helped me warm up. Now, let’s begin." He said calmly and suddenly stepped forward the next second.

BOOM!!

The arena shook, and snow scattered everywhere as Han Zhang disappeared from people’s view. He left dozens of afterimages all over the place as he swerved toward Leon at a crazy speed; he crossed the distance between them in almost an instant.

Leon’s expression changed and he immediately slashed his sword forward while taking a step back.

Clang!

Han Zhang appeared in front of him and their swords clashed.

Veins popped up under Leon’s sleeves and next, he felt a terrifying force when Han Zhang’s wide sword crashed into his sword; it was as if he had tried to stop a mountain.

Leon gritted his teeth and pushed forward but Han Zhang stepped closer to him and pressed harder.

Leon wasn’t fast enough to boost himself with Qi and immediately lost his footing, he was tossed back and forced to jump into the air.

While descending to the ground, Leon saw Han Zhang rushing over again. He was attacking from his left side this time and his large sword swept at Leon’s left waist in the air.

Leon wasn’t obviously going to allow himself to get hit, he placed his sword in the side of his body to welcome the sword strike.

Han Zhang saw this and immediately changed his attack just before the sword could touch Leon. He slashed at the ground and stabbed it into the floor of the arena before using it as a pole to launch himself into the air, he stretched out his feet and kicked at Leon.

His movements were smooth and natural, it showed that he was very used to this.

Leon was caught off guard, he wasn’t expecting this sudden change and wasn’t able to react on time; it was even harder to react since he was still in the air.

BAM!

Han Zhang’s feet landed on Leon’s chest and sent him flying back. Leon flew back and landed on the snow, he stumbled many steps before stabilizing himself.

He touched his chest, his robe was torn and a black mark could be seen on his skin.

’Thankfully, I brought out my Shi to protect myself on time; that could have been bad.’ Leon thought to himself as he looked at Han Zhang who was already rushing toward him.

"Hmph, you think you can pressure me just because you’re older? Fat chance!" Leon scoffed silently and dashed toward the soldier as well.

Both of them raised their swords and executed their techniques on each other.

Three Worlds slash!

Mountain of serenity chop!

Clang!

Their swords crossed, and sparks flew everywhere in the snow; the two of them stood in the center of the arena with their swords pressed against each other and their feet solidly planted on the ground.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Leon’s technique came into effect and shook Han Zhang’s sword three times, throwing him back for a bit but the man easily regained his stance and pressed on Leon.

He was prepared this time after experiencing Leon’s technique once; this was his instinct as a soldier who had been in many life-and-death situations.

His technique, the mountain of serenity chop, was no ordinary technique either.

After he and Leon clashed, Leon felt like he was pressing his sword against an immovable mountain. He could have sworn that he even saw the vague outline of a mountain forming behind Han Zhang, this made his Three Worlds slash unable to throw him away as he had anticipated.

Both sides pulled back and dashed at each other again.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Their swords clashed at a crazy speed as they moved around the arena, stirring up the snow and causing the falling snow to shoot everywhere along with the sparks from their swords.

The disciples were awestruck, and the soldiers were shocked as they watched the two in the arena; they could only think of one word at the display of the two.

Geniuses!

Their level of fighting was already beyond what the ordinary level 5 martial artist would be able to do and their control over their attacks was so high that they were able to avoid hitting the audience, their speed was so fast that most of the soldiers and disciples were only able to see their afterimages and at times they were unable to see nothing because of the snow screen.

Only the powerful members of the army and the higher members of the sect were able to watch the fight without any issues.

Most of the elders had expressionless faces as they watched the fight between Leon and Han Zhang. Although Leon was from their sect, they had no special attachments with him, so they didn’t really care what the outcome of the battle was; they were just surprised by the level of strength that these two displayed.

Bai Quing was currently frowning while she watched, Quin Xuxu was still calm.

On the side of the soldiers, the martial artists amongst them were smiling slightly with pride. The General who had initiated the duel was grinning widely.

He had to admit that he was stunned by Leon’s ability to stand his ground against Han Zhang, but the more the two fought, the more obvious the difference between a soldier who danced on the battlefield every day and a talented martial artist who stayed in his sect all day, was from each other.

Although Leon was able to match Han Zhang’s speed and strength, battle instincts and adaptation in sudden situations were not something he could compare to.

One could not get those just from staying in the sect and training all day; they could only forge these abilities by facing life-threatening situations frequently.

And that was the problem that Leon was facing currently.

"Just a bit more and he’ll not be able to keep up any longer," the General mumbled softly.
