Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Adventurer Guild

It takes the girls three hours for them to finish their shopping spree. Hilda and Silva buy a lot of clothes and fabric for them to make their own dress and clothing. They are great at sewing and made a training shirt for me in the past.

As for Sonia, she buys a small mountain of books from the local bookstore. Not only books, but she and I also raid the local apothecary and merchant guild for their medical herbs and other rare plants that we did not have in the Southern Continent.

I also found coffee in this place. We have coffee in the Southern Continent, but they are not as good or aromatic as the one in this place. Other than coffee, I also decided to buy quite a bit of specialty fruit from this place: plum, pomegranate, and something called Blood Orange, a bigger and juicier orange than the regular one we find in the Southern Continent.

"So, what should we do now? Should we go back, or should we go somewhere?"

The girls and I think for a few seconds before Hilda suddenly says.

"What about we join an adventurer guild?"

I look at her in surprise and say.

"Can a noble do that?"

"Sure. Why can’t they join? There is no rule forbidding a noble to join an adventurer. Even some of the nobility start as adventurers before the king makes them noble. I know this because my father made two adventurers noble after killing a strong monster that tried to destroy one of our port cities."

Huh? This is the first time I have heard about this. The adventurers in Cunningham County never get nobility as far as I can remember from reading all the history books, but they are given land and some reward if they do great deeds for our territory but never nobility even though, as a count, we can grant them a Baron title.

"Anyway, we should join the adventurer guild and have some... well, adventure."

I nod, and by the look of it, Sonia and Silva agree with her suggestion.

"Then let’s get Jullian and Jonathan before we go."

"Adventurer guild, eh? It has been a while."

Lord Sarhakan smiles and has the look of someone who has a flashback. A few seconds later, he shakes his head and says.

"Can you wait for a minute? I will write a recommendation letter to the guild, so you do not need to do a test or two like the other people."

"Thank you, Lord Sarhakan."

"Bah. Think nothing of it, Heir Gwyndolin. I was once an adventurer like you, but I took an arrow to the knee. That is the reason why I retired and decided to fulfill my duty as an heir to my family."

"Well, I’m thankful nonetheless."

Lord Sarhakan nods and heads to his office. We wait for a minute before Lord Sarhakan returns from his office with a small scroll in his hand. He passes it to me and says,

"Here you go."

"Thank you, Lord Sarhakan. If you need something, please tell us."

"Well... If there is one thing..."

He looks at his son for a few seconds before looking back at me.

"Can you take my son with you? He needs real-life experience, and I know he will be safe with you. Count this as a favor from my family that I will pay in the future."

Ah. I fell into his trap, huh? He already knows I’m a healer and wants me to heal his son when he is injured in this adventure. He wanted his son to have real-life experience but did not want to hire a healer.

Well, at least I got a favor from him. Unlike the modern time, where favor is not really worth much, the people in this world see favor as some kind of sacred thing. Of course, they can be broken, but people of this era have a long memory.

"Of course. We are happy to bring him with us on our little adventure."

"Thank you."

Lord Sarhakan looks at his son and says.

"Son, you have been studying diligently for the past year, and I think it is time for you to experience a real battle. Please follow Heir Gwyndolin’s order and learn from him. He might look young but is a great fighter known throughout the Gipan Kingdom."

Anderson nods with a serious expression and puts his fist on his chest.

"Don’t worry, Father! I will make sure to learn from him. After hearing what Jonathan and Jullian said about him, I’m excited to see Heir Gwyndolin in action."

I look at the duo musclehead and can only sigh.

What are you two saying about me? Oh, well.

Lord Sarhakan nods his head and looks at me.

"Please take care of my son, Heir Gwyndolin."

"Leave it to me, Lord Sarhakan."

"Ah, make sure that you don’t take care of him too much, okay? He needs to work hard, and I want you to let him experience fighting."

"Of course."

It takes another half an hour before we leave the castle and walk to the adventurer guild. Lord Sarhakan wants to make sure his son is well-equipped for his adventure. Lord Sarhakan even offered to equip us with something from his personal blacksmith.

I decline his offer because we already have our own gear, and I know that they are more powerful than his blacksmith can make.

I snap from my thoughts when we arrive in front of a three-story tall building, and when I open the door, I can see people looking at us for a few seconds before going back to whatever they are doing.

However, I can see a familiar duo. They are the ones following us when we arrive in this city. The Tiger Beastman is not doing anything but the human... he looks at me in surprise and needs a few seconds to regain his composure.

I ignored him and walked to the receptionist and said,

"Good afternoon. We are here to register as an adventurer."

"Also, Lord Sarhakan, ask me to give this scroll to you."

I know this scene. I once watched it while playing the game. This is the opening scene where the main character of this game first meets Gwyndolin, the first villain of the first game. The misunderstood villain that the player can change his fate in the DLC of the fourth game.

I’m glad I can meet him, but his appearance here before the main character arrives creates something I don’t want.

Butterfly effect.

I know by being reincarnated into this world, the butterfly is already flapping its wings, but I never thought that it would be this bad. I thought the main timeline would continue as long as I did not change too much plot.

The main character, the Fourth Prince of the Verlagan Kingdom, will come here as scheduled, and he is still following the plot. I thought the timeline would stay the same, but I’m hoping too much.

The butterfly is already flapping its wings like crazy.

I snap from my thoughts when I see the receptionist, Rawda, return from the guild master’s room. Rawda is one of the capture targets of the main character and one of the essential characters for the Good and Neutral Ending of the game.

"Thank you for the wait, my lord. Please put your hand on the crystal, and we will start creating your card."

Ah! This is it. An adventurer needs to be scanned using a device that shows their aptitude. The crystal will show if they are a physical fighter or someone who uses magic to fight. In the game, it was a device that let players choose their first class for the RPG part of the game.

However, in the real world, this crystal will label your adventurer card for the other adventurer to have an easier time getting a party or showing them which mission that is easier for them to do. Some monsters are easier to defeat using magic, and some are immune to magic.

"Oh my!"

I snap from my thoughts when Rawda shouts in surprise. I cannot help but get closer to see what is happening. I can see the others also doing the same.

"Physical Attribute: Extreme! Magical Attribute: Extreme!"

That two alone will make a high-ranking party drooling, but it was just the beginning.

"High Durability, medium speed, medium physical prowess, and extreme magical prowess."

I can only look at the man in front of me in shock. What kind of monster is he?! I swallow my saliva and decide to use my talent. I activate my talent, and when I feel it connected to Gwyndolin, I quickly walk away from the guild.

And I was just in time as I could see Gwyndolin looking at me. I swallow more saliva as I continue to walk from the guild.

When Jul-Tan and I arrive in the alley next to the guild, I take a piece of paper in my pocket. My talent is called [Report Scroll]. It was a talent that let me see any living being stats just like in the game. It might not sound too useful in battle, but this talent lets me survive hunting as I can choose which animal and monster I can hunt alone.

I take a deep breath and start to open the scroll.

What kind of stats are those?! They are too different from the game! Also, he never has two talents at once!

"Oh! You have a good talent there."

I never admit to anyone that I scream like a little girl at the sight of Gwyndolin, that appears next to me and Jul-Tan.
