I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1815: Strange Things Happening at His Destination!
"I’m here," as he kept reading and studying the dense reports and intel coming from his territory, he finally arrived on the planet belonging to the Sorephesis race.
This wasn’t his first time visiting a planet with lots of portals in the universe. Yet unlike the planet he visited before, this one looked way crowded and full of tons of ships coming in and out from it.
The planet wasn’t surrounded by any defences, and didn’t have anything to stop anyone coming and leaving. "That means I won’t find a big merchant group here," Hye hoped to find a merchant group on this planet, considering the huge number of ships he spotted so far.
Yet when he logged in the main channel of the planet, he didn’t find a single result regarding any big merchant group.
All he could find was just simple stalls, selling common stuff that wouldn’t interest him. "If I wanted to buy any of these common things, then it’s better to check the system market!" he couldn’t believe how there were shops selling all these useless items.
"I’d rather go on my way then," he controlled his ship and headed towards one portal. The pirate king provided him with a detailed map, with directions to take him through this planet and direct him to the right portal.
Hye placed lots of hope over this planet, thought he would find lots of things to do, lots of treasures to acquire. He couldn’t even find a proper place to meet up with anyone, make friends or even enemies!
[Did you send me to a mad place or what?!] Hye was frustrated and couldn’t help but send this message to the pirate king, while his ship went through the portal!
No one was there to stop him or ask him to pay any price to use the portal. The place was chaotic, with no one overseeing anything. And Hye couldn’t believe how this planet was left unattended.
[What do you mean? Did something happen?!] The pirate king didn’t get what Hye was frustrated about. Yet when Hye explained in the following messages, the pirate king couldn’t help but laugh.
[You got it all wrong! This planet isn’t left without proper control and order! Yet what you saw isn’t the planet, it’s just the surface facade of the portal business!]
[Portal business? A front? What do you mean?!] Hye was taken aback by what he got from the pirate king. And what he read next made him want to turn around, go back to that planet, and properly explore it!
[This planet is a big base of underworld trade. You won’t find a single proper stall or marketplace in the system or the common channel. You need to have an underworld version of the system to find these places!]
"Those son of btches!" Hye cursed out loud. It never crossed his mind and realising it made him want to acquire such a version of the system.
[No need to fret over that planet, it won’t go anywhere, and I can accompany you there if you want] The pirate king guessed what Hye was thinking about, [I need to get lots of stuff from there anyway, plus it’ll be a good way to announce our presence in this region]
[Ok, but forget about announcing anything for now] Hye sighed, [We need to better time when to announce such news]
Hye knew what the pirate king wanted. He previously promised him and the lady nymph to announce the territory as their outlaw base. Yet that wasn’t something he wanted to do right now.
Hye didn’t feel it was the best decision to give this territory such an outlaw front. He wanted to dig deeper and check to see what the response of big races towards his pirate group after the last incident.
[Didn’t you promise...]
[First things first, keep an eye over the response and reactions from the big races, Toranks and Selvators in particular] Hye sent this message without fully reading what the pirate king sent before, [According to how they’ll respond, I will decide!] 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
[What difference will that make anyway?] the pirate king missed what Hye was thinking about.
[It matters! If the big races will haunt you down, then it makes zero sense to hide behind your outlaw group. It’ll be way better if your group hid behind my name, got it?]
Hye’s words meant that according to how the big races in the universe would react, the fate of who would announce this territory under their name would be decided.
Hye only considered announcing the territory as the outlaw base to avoid getting in direct conflict with big races. Yet if the clash would be destined to happen, then there was no point in doing this at all.
In fact, putting his name up front would help to save them from some clashes. He doubted the Selvators to target him for example. And even the Toranks might consider amending the broken ties with him. After all, they were more like merchants in his eyes than proper fighting maniacs like the Hescos.
[I should have known that a human like you has no integrity at all!] The pirate king sent this, which made Hye laugh.
[Look who is speaking, hahaha!] Hye closed the messages once he sent this. His ship passed through the portal to the next stop, where he found himself surrounded by lots of ships, standing in the middle of a weird situation.
Hye opened the map and checked where he was. "This is supposed to be a place without much stuff happening here..." he muttered in slow tone, while what appeared in front of his eyes and in the radar of his ship was totally different than what he expected.
The area he appeared at should have one big planet, one that served as a simple portal rallying point. It was like a transit place, with many portals linking it to different places in the universe.
Yet in front of Hye, he saw lots of ships in different sizes. They were flying fast, launching lots of attacks everywhere. Simply put, he appeared in the middle of an ongoing large fight over this planet!
