I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1814: Hye Is on the Right Path!
This planet belonged to the Sorephesis race, one of the medium sized forces in the universe. Luckily, they didn’t work under any of the big races Hye had clashes with, or else going there would be quite risky.
Checking all the information regarding this planet and kingdom made him realise a point he neglected before. "We missed gathering intel about all the kingdoms and forces around my territory!"
He focused more on building his forces in the territory, plus paying extra attention to any forces going in and out from the outer battlefield. And yet he never paid attention to the established forces around his kingdom.
In fact, he thought there was a huge distance between his kingdom and any other force in this part of the universe. And now he realised how hugely mistaken he was.
[Start gathering information about any force and kingdom situated around our territory in distance of one month’s flight] he didn’t hesitate to send this message over to the pirate king and lady nymph.
The two might be working over their underground force, but they also helped Hye a lot in gathering different intel about lots of stuff in the universe.
Just like now, he got very detailed information about this nearby kingdom, one that he would never have heard of if not thanks to them. And for a reason, he felt like there were more of such kingdoms and races around his territory, even some would belong to the big races he was in feud with.
"It’d be better to keep a close eye on these folks," Hye knew he shouldn’t be hasty in getting in contact with them at once. He still wanted to keep his existence here hidden as long as he could. But at some point, the secret would be revealed, and everyone would know about his activity there.
By then it would be best to have detailed information about those close by kingdoms and races. Knowing who would be a friend and who would be an enemy was the best move to do. Instead of finding himself racing time to gather such intel later on.
At the same time, he would try to make deals with these forces if possible, using Major’s kingdom in the process. As for those who belonged to his enemies, it was better to infiltrate their bases, send spies, and even plant some hidden cards to be used in times of distress.
The more he thought about this, the more he evilly grinned. After all, if he wanted to expand his territory one day, these folks would be the best targets.
"If I have time, I’ll go on and check that planet," Hye entertained such an idea for a few minutes, before he decided to not do this right away, "I’ll go on a tour there on my way back, of course if I didn’t have somewhere else to be!"
His plans were destined to fail. Just before he would arrive at that planet, he already received more intel about other wars happening between different sized kingdoms.
Hye never expected the universe to be this chaotic. In just a span of one week, he received over seven messages from the pirate king and lady nymph, mentioning big wars happening over different places in the universe.
What was surprising though was the fact that these wars were happening at a small part of the universe. The pirate king and lady nymph only sent intel regarding the small area of space that surrounded his territory and the war area he was going to.
"I’ll just drop this and this, I’ll be far away from them when I reach that war zone," he studied what he received, and eventually decided to just pick the wars closer to the warzone he was heading towards.
Even when these two told him the wars happening would last for a long time, months even, he still didn’t plan to go there.
One of the reasons was that one war had forces from the Hector race involved in it. The other war was situated close to a planet belonging to the Toranks. So, it was better for him to keep himself away from these two.
As for the other wars, he waited for further information regarding the forces involved and the nearby planets that might belong to his enemies.
"Being on the bad side of big races has indeed its price," Hye knew he would suffer for being on bad terms with the big races in the universe. And yet he accepted such a price to pay.
"There is no safety for any race until he reaches that big list," Hye sighed when he checked the list of wars he received and the reasons behind them.
Out of the seven-war intel he got, five were about finding new crystal mines. The fact that such big wars would erupt for crystal mines was enough to make him feel bad for all the forces in the universe.
All of the forces fighting for these mines were medium sized ones. According to what he learnt, being a medium sized kingdom meant you control at least one thousand planets, with different races and mighty armies that would leave his kingdom behind in the dust!
"To have such power in the universe means these kingdoms and races are working hard for thousands of years, perhaps even longer..." Hye felt bad for the current situation of the universe. It was super hard for any independent force to rise. The only feasible path was to be a slave for one of the big names, or else you would battle like mindless beasts over the scraps and leftovers by these top races!
Hye knew he picked the hard path when he became on the bad side of these top races. But he didn’t regret it. The more he knew about the universe, the more he felt he made the perfect choice.
"I’d rather fight hard to live with my head held high rather than live in fear and lower my head as a slave to those jerks!" he clenched his fists, feeling more determined than ever to succeed in the path he selected.
