I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1809: A Big Problem!
Hye didn’t leave, instead he took a tour around. "I don’t know if the effect of the gem is limited to that planet, or if it covers a larger area, so..."
He knew the effects of the gem covered his entire territory, and yet that was just about stirring up the cultivation of his people. He wasn’t sure if the augmenting effect for cultivation was also the same or not. But he felt it was also the same.
Hye intended to test his theory. He sent messages to his friends, asking them to pick the most advanced in cultivation, and let them train.
All of them had questions, but he simply told them he was testing the effects of the gem. He admitted he got no answer to such questions, and they needed to wait for this trial to end.
He didn’t just depend on them, as he started a grand tour around, visiting every known suitable planet for living and left lots of his warriors there.
"If this works well, then it’s a grand chance!" Hye knew how big such an opportunity was, and yet he didn’t celebrate so soon.
He wanted to triple check the effects of the gem first. So, he kept working like crazy, travelling for an entire month through his vast territory. During which, he realised how vast his territory was, and he sent instructions for a grand series of portals to be established between all inhabited planets.
He visited the mines, visited the recently developed artificial planets, he even visited the planets that were inhabited with different races long before he acquired this territory. He kept spreading out his warriors until he ran short of more tokens.
"Dammit! I need to find a way to buy more tokens..." he was enraged every time he recalled how his hands were tied in that regard. He solved many problems since he left the Grand Earth world, and yet he didn’t find a way to get more tokens.
He didn’t stop trying to contact every power dealing with trading these tokens, and yet no one returned his messages. It was as if there was a universal ban over him, preventing him from making any trade deals with anyone.
This wasn’t just limited to tokens; it was a general ban for anything he needed! If not for stacking lots of stuff, equipment, weapons and other stuff during the past twenty years from the Toranks, then he would be faced with a very troubled situation.
He never focused on such a problem before leaving his world and going to the universe as he didn’t need that much stuff. But now the situation has changed. He had a huge territory that he needed to better utilise it. And now he felt like his hands were tied.
"Even the lady nymph couldn’t help... It seems even her connections are banned... I need to think of another meaning then..." Hye thoughts drifted to use the help of the lady nymph to acquire what he needed, yet that attempt failed as well.
What made it weird was that not a single person returned their requests or even explained why they didn’t agree on making a deal with them. At some point, Hye even asked his friends to try and order what they needed, but they also faced the same silence and ignorance.
"The sole time I managed to get my hands on something was by being part of an auction... Shall I take the same approach again?"
He seriously considered doing this, yet after contemplating about the risks involved, he dropped such an idea.
"If they run such a ban over big merchants, then it’s expected for them to watch out for my appearance... I can’t risk it, not at this moment at least..."
Hye felt like he did everything right, yet in the end he still faced a grand wall thanks to being a newbie in the universe. He even considered trying to amend the broken ties with the Toranks at some point, to hurriedly drop such an idea.
He already crossed that bridge with them. After knowing how game changing that gem was, he knew he would never give the gem back to the Toranks no matter what!
[Time to know the effect of the gem] he sent this message to everyone, asking them to stop everyone from training and run a check with everyone about the progress they made, [Make sure to list all the progress and send the files over for me to check!]
A month passed, enough time for any decent progress to happen. Usually, one month wasn’t enough to even help a single person to raise his cultivation level. And yet he felt with the gem, big things would happen.
As he gave such orders to his friends, he started a grand tour himself, passing again through all the planets he visited already. He bookmarked the locations of all these planets using his staff, so he didn’t take much time to assess the progress of his warriors.
He took roughly a week to go through all the progress his warriors achieved. And just from what he heard from them, he was now positive about his initial hypothesis!
"Most of them managed to break through the unshakable bottlenecks they faced for the past years, and many even climbed a big base on top of that!" Hye’s eyes flashed with excitement when he summed up what he learnt from his warriors.
And when he went through what his friends sent, he couldn’t help but laugh. "That’s great! That’s amazing! Everyone managed to cross that bottleneck, and now they are all climbing higher grades at a frightening speed... Still there is something extra here..."
As he went through everything for the second time, he noticed something new. The progress was indeed impressive, but he noticed some areas had the races training there progress much faster than others.
At first, he thought this was a coincidence, then he thought this was a talent gap or something like that. Then when he waited for another month, it was clear how big the difference was between these areas and other places.
