I Can Tame Everything!-Chapter 7: Mother’s Plea
Chapter 7 - Mother's Plea
..!
Rex blinked, What?! He barely suppressed a yell.
From the corner of his eyes, he sneakily glanced at the mother beast, her gaze resolutely fixed on her child, waiting for it to vanish from sight.
System, please! Can't I take a loan? he cried inwardly, his gaze flickering between the child beast and the lightning bird.
What would happen if he admitted he had failed?
She would surely eat me alive... right?
Rex exhaled a long sigh, half-expecting the response. He pressed his lips together, pondering whether to find a way out of this predicament or come clean and tell the truth?
If he admitted, he couldn't hide the beast's presence. Will she force me...
His thoughts ran rampant.
Then...
An incredible thought struck him like a lightning bolt. He shuddered as he glanced at the mother beast—should he do the inconceivable?
Should he—?
Should I tame the mother beast now... for taming points? He gulped as the thought sank in, his gaze trailing up the towering beast.
"Uhh... um, please don't think I'm taking advantage of you here, but I also need to tame you for this to work," he faltered.
Yet, to his complete surprise—
"Do whatever you have to, and be quick. We don't have much time," the mother beast said in a hurried tone.
Rex's brows shot up instantly. "Y-yes, right away! Please don't resist," he requested.
What Rex didn't know was that the beast had long forsaken its life. Whether he tamed her or not didn't matter much. In the end, she would...
System, Tame the mother beast, Rex commanded without hesitation the moment he got her approval.
[Progress 1%]
[Progress 50%]
[Progress 100%]
Rex nodded at the mother beast, her focus again shifting to the child.
He quickly experimented to check if a tamed beast status with a higher rank could be seen using [Eye of Tamer].

[Name: Arcalis]
[Entity: Beast]

[Bloodline: ~]
[Rank: Mystic Rank 1-Star]

A new rank appeared before his eyes as he scanned through the panel hovering in the air.
And then came exactly what he needed—Taming Points.
With a relaxed expression, Rex commanded the system once more to store the young beast in [Tamer's Sanctuary].
The mother kept her dulled eyes on her child, longing and sorrow flickering within them.
Just as the system's message concluded...
The child vanished from existence in an instant, as if it never existed in first place.
The mother beast's eyes widened in shock. Just moments ago, her child had been right there—now, it was simply gone. She frantically scanned her surroundings, but even with her keen senses, she could no longer feel its presence.
"Now, bring my child back," she demanded, her gaze sharp and unwavering as it locked onto Rex.

Do you think I'm a magician or something? He grumbled inwardly, yet he dared not voice a single word.
Glancing at her nervously, he cleared his throat. "Ahem... Fine."
System... Just as he was about to instruct the system to bring the beast out, the young beast reappeared in the exact same spot.
"Thank you so much, human," the mother said, her tone unexpectedly lively.
The mother beast swiftly moved toward her youngling, embracing it for a few moments before carefully inspecting it to ensure everything was alright.
Rex noticed the mother beast's eyes turning watery, a flicker of regret passing through them.
Focusing on the matter at hand, she made a precise cut on the child's skin, watching as a single drop of blood trickled down.
"Chirp!" The child whimpered but endured the pain.
"Send my child back," the mother beast said, her voice crackling with determination.
Rex nodded steadfastly, sending it back.
The mother beast nodded in acknowledgment after confirming her child's presence had vanished. She immediately distanced herself from Rex and started... to extract her blood essence from her body.
She let out controlled, muffled moans of pain as her body glowed with a brilliant purple hue, lightning crackling and slithering around her.
The dimly lit cave bathed in dazzling purple light, illuminating every nook and cranny.
While the cave lit lustrously, creating a mesmerizing sight to behold, What Rex witnessed was nothing short of—torture.
The beast coughed up blood, her controlled moans turning into uncontrollable screams. With immense difficulty, a single drop of purple blood, crackling with lightning, emerged. Soon after, a second drop followed.
He frowned, almost urging her to stop—Saying, that he didn't need this damned 'blood essence', that he would still protect her child sincerely. Yet... for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to stop her.
After a few gruesome seconds of agony, the cave finally returned to its dim light.
Rex exhaled a sigh of relief, the return of the cave's dimness easing his tense nerves.
The beast had stopped, its eyes lifeless—like a body without a soul. and Yet, it had extracted a total of THREE purple blood drops.
"Gasp... cough... h-here, take this," the mother said, her eyes unfocused.
"I tried for five. However, it seems my limit is three." She offered the purple, crackling blood to Rex, then continued.
"Huff... huff... You can take one drop from it, and please give the other two drops to my child," she panted, her voice weak but filled with a final plea.
She looked into Rex's eyes, and he met her gaze. Her eyes, once filled with life, now seemed devoid of their usual shine.
"You need not worry. I have witnessed your determination. All three drops will be given to your child alone. That, I promise," Rex replied, his gaze steady and his expression resolute.
The beast smiled upon hearing his reply, a sense of relief washing over her. To her, it mattered not if he took all three drops of blood.
What she wanted most was for her child to be safe, and it seemed she had made the right choice in choosing Rex.
"What is your name, human?" the mother asked, her voice softening.
"Rex... and I promise you that your child will grow str—"
BOOM!
A loud boom echoed through the cave, cutting off their conversation abruptly.
The Lightning Bird sensed the jaguar's presence, a mix of dread and menace flashing in her eyes.
Without hesitation, she swiftly flew out of the cave.
"Thank you, Rex," is what he heard last before... the beast left the cave.
ROAR!
Rex awaited, now alone—the same dimly lit cave eating at him.
After waiting for a few moments, he stealthily glanced in their direction. Narrowing his focus, he saw the jaguar beast chasing after the lightning bird.
Readying himself for the right opportunity, Rex clapped his cheeks.
Time to run, Rex, as if your life depends on it—because it does!
he reminded himself, his heart pounding.
Glancing, Rex noticed they had gained considerable distance from the cave.
Without hesitation, he shot off, running as fast as possible. His destination: the panda's den.
Yet, things were never that simple or easy, were they?
The jaguar beast sensed Rex as he ran, its head snapping toward him. The overwhelming pressure hit him like a physical force, choking the air from his lungs. His legs locked, his body refusing to move as the predator's gaze pinned him in place.
