I Can Tame Everything!-Chapter 1: Awakening in the Wild
Chapter 1 - Awakening in the Wild
"Nooo!"
Screech, screech.
A truck's headlights flashed on him. His vision blurred, narrowing to the big words that read: 'Fast delivery—so quick, you won't believe it until it's done.
And it happened—
A seamless transition between two worlds.
–
"Uh-wah!" The same 'nooo' never finished, and now, he was in another world.
Yes, A seamless transition.
"Uh, waah-wah-uh." Rex blinked, trying to speak, but the words wouldn't form. Panic surged within him. His hands felt tiny—almost powerless.
Eyeing his surroundings, he saw towering trees stretching high into the sky, their dense treetops casting shadows over the lush green plants below. The air was thick with an earthy scent.
I'm in a forest? He mused, assessing his surroundings.
He casually turned his head to the other side.
And then—horror crept in. Goosebumps rose. His heart nearly skipped a beat.
A towering panda loomed over him, its big eyes flickering with confusion as it observed him.
Shit.
Rex instinctively tried to run—yet, he barely managed to roll onto his belly.
That was when it hit him like a hammer—he was a baby again!
Fuck. I'm defenseless now.
I can't run, can't fight... and my best weapon?
Crying—just my shitty luck. He clenched his tiny fists in frustration.
The beast, after observing for a while, extended a massive paw toward the baby. Rex flailed his tiny hands, trying to shoo it away. "Uh-wah ah wa!" Damn it, get lost, you beast!
But alas, the answer was clear. He couldn't do anything against the beast—completely at its mercy.
The panda beast tilted its head in confusion. "A human child," it rumbled, seemingly in deep thought.
Pandas can talk now?... Where am I? His eyes widened in shock. He barely had time to process before—
Another shock hit him, his attention snapping elsewhere...
Ding...!
[I Can Tame Everything] system activating...!
Rex froze. What the—A system? Like in the novels?
And... Status? Is it asking me... a baby? To say that?
Bewildered, he hesitated before attempting, "Ahh–uhh-wah-aa..."
Yeah, not happening, he harumphed. Yet, as if his intention alone mattered, a golden panel fluttered into existence, startling him.

A system?
A beast that can talk?
Rex Tameroth, is that my name?
Have I—have I really transmigrated?
His mind raced with thoughts.
When...
His focus snapped back when the panda picked him up in its arms, its large body comforting him with warmth.
The beast began to walk steadily.
As the beast took heavy steps, Rex's fear grew with each one, his heart racing in sync with its steps. Is it going to eat me? A grim thought crept into his mind.
"Wah-uwah-uuhu-aah," C'mon, let baby logic work!
Rex pleaded, trying to make the cutest baby face he could muster. With big, shiny puppy eyes, he hoped the beast would take pity on him.
Then, a daring thought popped into his head. System, you can tame everything, right? Tame this panda, he boldly instructed.
Noticing his fear, the panda glanced down with a small, amused smile. "You will not be harmed, little one," it murmured.
Rex exhaled slowly, reluctantly accepting that he couldn't do anything at the moment. He would simply have to take the panda's word for it and leave everything to fate.
Yet, unease inevitably lingered.
The beast carried him through the dense forest, the scent of moss, bark, and distant water filling the air. Eventually, they arrived at what could only be described as a den—
a Natural clearing nestled within the wilderness.
"You will be staying here for a few years," the beast said gently.
The panda couldn't tell if Rex understood its words or not, but it had an inkling he did, as whenever it spoke, Rex's shiny, focused eyes remained locked onto it.
Rex's gaze swept through the clearing. A roof of wooden trunks provided cover, soft bushes served as beds, and stones and trees formed a natural barrier around the area. He was in a true wilderness.
Rex narrowed his eyes as he spotted three baby pandas resting on a bed of cut-down bushes.
Noticing Rex's gaze, the panda introduced, "They will be your siblings from today onwards," gesturing toward the cubs before gently laying Rex beside them.
"Rest well, little one. You're safe here," the panda reassured him with a gentle smile before settling down nearby.
And for the first time, Rex let himself believe those words, a faint smile tugging at his tiny lips.
Six Years Later...
He was no longer a baby—he was seven years old!
Rex stood opposite the panda beast. Beside him, three panda cubs lined up—two males and one female.
All four of them stood facing Korr, the towering panda.
Usually, they would be playing around, pulling pranks—tugging on Korr's fur, stacking rocks on his back while he napped, or rolling around in the dirt just to pounce on each other.
However, today was different.
"Today, your training begins!" Korr announced, his deep voice rumbling clearly in their ears.
"Yeaash!" Rex shouted, his voice barely containing his excitement.
Imitating him, the cubs also followed, releasing small, softened "rwwars."
Despite not understanding their father's words, the cubs had a sense of what was happening.
"Good! Now, repeat my movements. This will be your training from now on." Korr's voice was firm as he lifted his massive right paw, formed a claw, and swept downward in a fierce motion.
The three cubs immediately mimicked their father's actions, while Rex hesitantly asked, "Umm... Korr, should I follow along?"
Korr paused for a moment before replying, "No, you will practice something different—punching. Here, let me show you."
Before Korr could demonstrate, Rex lifted his right hand and threw a punch into the air. Then, he looked at Korr with a smug smile, waiting for his approval.
"Hmm... Looks like you've got the basics down. Good." Korr nodded approvingly.
"Alright, that's your first exercise. The next will be climbing that tree," the panda said while pointing at a tall tree.
"Should I also climb a tree?" Rex questioned.
"Yes, it's important for your agility. Watch closely," Korr said sternly and easily climbed the tall, thin tree in the corner of their clearing. The cubs followed him quickly, their claws finding grip effortlessly on the rough surface.
Rex, however, struggled.
"Ahh," he whined as he fell with a whimper. After two more attempts, he finally climbed the tree, using the chipped bark from their claws as support, his hands aching.
After everyone climbed the tree, Korr gestured for them to come down; he was standing on the ground to ensure no one was injured.
"And finally, the last part is stamina training."
"Let's go! Start running behind me," he ordered before taking off. Rex quickly followed, with the cubs close behind, running in circles through the clearing.
After running a few circles in the clearing, Rex and the cubs began to weary, each step growing heavier than the last.
"Huff...huff... I can't run anymore." Sweat dripped down his brows.
"Come on, this is the last lap!" Korr cheered.
As they finished their last lap, Rex and the cubs collapsed on the ground, panting with exhaustion as Korr loomed above them.
"From this day forth, this will be your daily routine.
Miss a day, and you go without food," he rumbled in an authoritative tone.
Motivated, Kai, Yue, and Shun—the panda cubs—joined Rex in cheering excitedly.
"Rawwr! Yes, sir! Rawwr! Rawwr!"
As days passed, training became second nature.
Their bond deepened, their bodies toughened, and what once seemed impossible became routine.
And soon, three more years had flown by.
Ten-year-old Rex stood in the clearing, his golden eyes shining with determination.
Korr voiced firmly, "Today, you will hunt alone. Prove yourself—and when you do, you may leave this forest to roam the unknown world."
