I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 168: Death of Orman and Sendal
Orman was already pretty prepared this time around. He thought that victory would be his since the other party was not able to react to his actions.
However, unknowingly, his saber, which he had been proud of, was actually stopped by the other party’s foot.
What’s going on?
This question only lingered on his mind for a bit before he immediately retracted his saber away from the block. With fluid movements, he made a somersault to get away from his assailants as he prepared to make another move.
However, his actions were cut short once again when he noticed that his assailants were no longer there. His eyes widened in disbelief, and the next moment, he swiped his saber in a circle toward his back.
Once again, it was met with an unshakable force. When he turned around, he realized that his assailant was already there, blocking his saber precisely with his arm this time around.
Orman was about to move away; however, at the next moment, he felt a force stopping him from doing so.
He stayed rooted on the spot, as though a heavy object was pressed on his shoulders, not allowing him to make a single move.
At this time, Miguel used all his focus to bind him down with his [Psychokinesis].
[Psychokinesis] was a pretty broad skill. It allowed him to control the things around him, and its strength depends on his strength. The range was only short due to the skill’s level, but it was still able to hold a Master Martial Artist like Orman without any problem.
With swift motion and movement, Miguel extended his hand and grabbed a hold of Orman’s neck.
Bound in place by the skill, Orman could do nothing but let his hand reach his neck.
When he felt that the pressure on his shoulder had already disappeared, he realized that it was already too late.
His eyes widened in horror as he struggled to breathe. His remaining hand desperately tried to grab Miguel’s hand out of the way, but to no avail. Miguel’s current strength was simply too strong for Orman.
He felt his breathing getting weaker as seconds passed by as he felt the tightening of the choke on his neck.
As he started to lose his consciousness, he began to wonder just who this person was trying to kill. He had not offended anyone lately other than Journey, right? But this person should not be Journey, as he knew that Journey was a summoner, and his summon was a girl.
Confusion filled his eyes. Even at this moment, he still could not think of anyone this strong who had a grudge against him.
At the next moment, he suddenly saw a rainbow-colored grimoire floating right beside the head of his assailant.
Seeing the grimoire, clarity was shown in his eyes as he finally realized who this person was. However, another batch of confusion soon appeared on it before his consciousness blanked out.
A cracking sound was also heard at the same moment, making Sendal, who was oblivious to what was happening, shiver in fear of the unknown.
Miguel dropped the dead Orman to the ground as he slowly came toward the still-sprawling Sendal.
"L-lord O-Orman?" He muttered muffled words as he tried to get up.
Without his eyes, he could only rely on his hearing and feelings to get a hold of what was going on around him.
He knew that someone was trying to attack Orman, and after hearing the silence right after the crack, he knew that the battle had concluded. He just did not know who won, as he was a little far away.
He probed by asking, but the other party did not reply, making his heart sink to the bottom. The footstep he was wearing neared as his heart went into turmoil, not knowing what to expect. Was the other party here to save him or not?
"Summon your grimoire," the other party’s raspy voice resounded in his sensitive ears.
Sendal did not hesitate and did as he was told.
He put all his attention into it and began chanting the summoning incantation for summoning the grimoire.
Due to his heart being in turmoil, the pain he was feeling in his eyes, and the cut-off arm, he could not calm down for a long time, making him just be able to barely summon the grimoire after five minutes of trying.
Seeing the grimoire, Miguel no longer hesitated and controlled Orman’s saber to kill him instantly, ending his suffering.
Miguel did not say anything as he dropped the saber near Orman’s hand once again. After he stored the grimoire inside his grimoire storage space, he did not linger in the area any longer as his figure disappeared amongst the shadows of the night.
The night was deep as the wee hour of the next day started.
The city was still bustling with activity, unaware of the murder that had happened in one secluded corner.
However, even if they knew, they would probably not react too much, aside from some worries. In a world where martial artists, summoners, and other strong creatures were present, death was quite a normal thing.
They just probably would not expect that the one who died this time around was one of the famous martial artists in the city, Orman, as well as the well-known summoner, Sendal.
The culprit of the crime, though—the new elder of the Red Family, Journey, or Miguel—had already returned to the villa silently.
His [Shadow Steps] was truly the perfect skill for such a sneaky operation.
Inside the master’s bedroom, Miguel summoned his grimoire once more and stared at the logs from the battle earlier.

The same logs, except for the amount of points, were also presented to him yesterday when Edith defeated Orman with one casual strike.
Since Sendal’s level was pretty low, Miguel and Edith did not receive any experience points from him at all.
However, strictly speaking, his value was even higher than what he gained from Orman, as Sendal was able to let him gather the 10th Bronze Grade Grimoire.
Miguel did not waste any more time as he prepared to summon the Bronze Grimoire.
However, what appeared before him was not the bronze grimoire; instead, it was Aaliyah, who had a red yet determined face.
