Chapter 2146: The Pendulum

If there was a pendulum, and on one side was Eos, the Origin Realms and all of his interests, and in the other side was the Painter and all of their forces, then an observer would discover a that the side of the Painter was firmly pressed to the ground, and Eos’s side was raised in the air... signifying that at the moment, the weight of the Painter’s forces were so heavy, that there was no way Eos could ever beat them.

Eos might have had the greatest potential ever recorded, but his greatest weakness was always the short amount of time that he had to work with, and the only reason he even deserved a pendulum against the greatest force in and outside Existence was the fact that he had made discoveries that pushed the envelop of Existence forward, and that was reaching the fifth layer of the Origin of Space.

Still, Existence and what lay outside of Existence were infinite, and it was not shocking that there was truly a pendulum that measured the power of End against the power of Origin inside of Existence, and that pendulum was located inside the Temple of End.

At the moment, Lumen, the wings of Enoch, was watching over the entirety of Existence, but due to certain constraints caused by the power of the Origin Realms, it could not truly peer into all the small details and could only receive second-hand information.

The powers of the Origin Realms were so unexpectedly potent that they had to break their rules and send Luminious into it just so they could stay ahead of this conflict.

However, Lumen was not too concerned about these small details when it could monitor the overall state of the war using this pendulum, and at this moment, the chance for them winning was nearly a hundred percent.

From the moment it was torn from the back of Enoch, Lumen was no longer attached to an individual Luminious and so it became a sort of repository for the power of the Luminious and the Great One preferred to work through it than any of the others, due to the fact that for the average Luminious, touching the mind of the Great One usually lead to... insanity.

Enoch had been the most suitable vessel to receive the mind of the Great One, but even the special Luminious that had been prepared from birth to be able to hold the power of End inside of him still fell short, but at least it gave birth to Lumen, who could withstand the gaze of the Great One without going... mostly insane.

Its gaze had been fixed on the pendulum, and the moment Eos had killed Death and Luminious Memory, the scale began to tilt.

At first, it was almost unnoticable, but Lumen was a being that would be able to fit a trillion realities on the head of a pin, it could notice even the smallest of abnormalities, but soon the tilting of the scale was no longer small, and if Eos held one percent dominance, and the Geat one, ninety-nine percent, this had now become a case where Eos’s fate had gained 5% and the GReat One had been reduced to 95%

Lumen had responded almost instantaneously, and Enoch had been resurrected, and the war against the Origin Realms was placed into overdrive, with the Luminious already inside of it, given the authority to use their abilities to take over the Origin Realms.

Slowly, the scales began to tilt back to the side of the Great One, and whatever advantage Eos had gained began to vanish, and soon he was back to one percent; however, this state did not last long when three of Eos’s Incarnations saw the path to the fifth layer of their Origin.

Lumen, of course, could not tell that this was what had happened, but the pendulum began to tilt once more, and in the blink of an eye, it had transformed to a state where Eos had won ten percent of the scales!

"Whatever plans you have, they will fail." Lumen growled in anger and angrily sent a directive to Enoch, "I don’t know what you are waiting for, but you need to be attacking in this instant!"

Of course, Enoch did not respond; he was still in the midst of perfecting his awakening because he intended the battle to be short.

The time he spent watching Rowan had shown him a side of Eos that he did not overlook, and he did not intend to give Eos the chance to resist, and so to truly do this, then he would have to be truly ready for anything.

But the screams of Lumen interrupted him, "Enoch, take charge of the Origin Realms at this instant or you shall be stripped of your resurrection and condemned to End, and this time, it shall be final."

The 3,390 Incarnations hurried up the tower, crossing multiple Existences, and they were making good time. The battle against the sentinels may have killed some of them, but it also gave every Incarnation here a chance to regain their Origin Essence and digest the gains from this battle.

Their formation changed, and those who had seen the path to the fifth layer of their Origin and those who were nearly there were pushed to the center; they would not participate in any battle if possible.

And as time went on, more of the Incarantions began to see the path to the fifth layer of their Origin. Primordial Space opened the door to this layer by a crack, and with each of the Incarnations seeing the path and sharing their experience with the rest, the process became increasingly easier, even though it should not have been.

Eos’s aberrant nature that gave him the ability to claim the unclaimable was becoming more obscene the stronger he became, and what was happening here was a result of this.

Originally, just because one of his Incarnations was able to reach the fifth layer of Origin, the fact was that the Origin of Space was vastly different from the Origin of Time or any of the 10,008 Ancient Origins, and the path to reach the fifth layer of space was nothing like reaching the fifth layer of light or the fifth layer of slaughter.
