I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 470 First day
She took a slow breath at the door, pressing her lips together to hold back the wide, happy smile that threatened to spill out before she even stepped inside. The moment she opened the classroom door and walked in, a wave of familiar voices rushed toward her like a warm hug.
"Goooood morning, teacherrr~!"
The cheerful chorus filled the room, bright, loud, and wonderfully chaotic, and her heart melted instantly as she realized just how much she had missed them. It felt like coming home after a long trip, where every sound and every little face carried comfort.
"Teacher... we missed youuuuuu!" Drake and Boo shouted together, their voices rising above the rest as if competing to be heard first.
She laughed softly, eyes warm, but as she walked toward her desk and set her attendance sheet down, she suddenly noticed something... very different.
Her gaze slowly drifted back to Boo.
He was wearing shiny earrings that glittered whenever he moved, a big gold chain resting proudly over his uniform shirt, and his tail was wrapped in a smooth, sparkling red cloth that shimmered dramatically as he swished it from side to side. The little ghost baby looked far too proud of himself, grinning like a celebrity who had just won an award.
She blinked, then smiled wider. "Oh Boo... you look very shiny today," she teased, eyes amused.
Boo puffed out his chest even more, clearly waiting for this moment. "Teacher, Ghost Tower was sponsored by someone super powerful! And I got upgraded!!!" he announced excitedly, spinning in place so his earrings and tail wrap caught the light like a show.
Drake stared at him with huge, amazed eyes. "Woaaah... you look like a rich ghost," he whispered in awe.
Boo grinned proudly. "I am a premium ghost now."
That earned a ripple of giggles around the room.
Kelpie beamed at her from his seat, his smile bright and peaceful, while Rocky peeked at her shyly, hands folded, looking happy but still adorably nervous. Felix leaned back with his usual sleepy, half-lidded gaze, giving her a lazy nod like he had just woken up five minutes ago. Luna watched her with her usual grumpy expression, but there was a tiny, barely noticeable smile tugging at her lips. And Vlad Jr. sat as elegant as ever, posture perfect, lips curved into a refined, princely smile as he met her eyes.
They all looked a little taller.
Her heart swelled as she looked around the classroom, warmth blooming in her chest, and she smiled at them all with pure affection.
"Let’s take attendance first," she said gently, flipping open her file.
One by one, she called out their names, and each soft, excited little "Yes, teacher!" felt like music to her ears. Every response warmed her heart, like she was counting tiny miracles instead of names.
"Okay," she said once she finished, closing the file and lifting her gaze with a bright, fond grin. "So... how was your holiday?"
The moment the question left her lips, the classroom lit up with excitement. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Hands shot into the air. Wiggles increased. Whispers burst into eager chatter.
Kelpie nearly bounced out of his seat.
"Teacher! Teacher! I’ll go first!" he said excitedly, unable to sit still.
"Alright, Kelpie," Alina laughed softly. "Tell us."
Kelpie straightened, eyes shining. "I went with my mom to my aunt’s house! She lives near a huge lake, teacher, and her house is sooo big it feels like a palace. I stayed there with my cousins, and we played from morning till night. We ran around the garden, climbed little hills, and I collected lots of pretty flowers. Some were pink, some were yellow, and some smelled like honey!"
He waved his hands dramatically as he spoke, fully acting out every memory.
"Then my aunt took us to the mountain lakes," he continued excitedly. "The water was so clear I could see the pebbles at the bottom, and tiny fish were swimming around my feet. We splashed each other, and I almost slipped once, but my cousin caught me!" He giggled at the memory. "At night, we sat outside and watched the stars, and my mom told me stories about water spirits who protect lakes."
He leaned forward, voice softer but still glowing with joy. "I even kept some flowers in a book so I can remember the trip forever. It was sooo fun, teacher. I didn’t want to come back!"
The whole class stared at him in awe.
Alina smiled warmly, her heart softening at his happiness. "Wow, Kelpie... that sounds like a beautiful holiday. I’m so happy you made such lovely memories."
She could almost picture it herself—lakes, flowers, cousins, laughter—and the warmth in her eyes showed how much she cherished his story.
"Yes, yes! I even brought pebbles for Rocky!" Kelpie announced proudly, puffing out his chest like a hero returning from an important mission. "I picked the smoothest ones from the lake. Some are round, some are shiny, and one looks like a tiny sleeping turtle."
He glanced toward Rocky and added seriously, "He hid them very carefully in his bag so no one can steal them!"
Rocky nodded at once, hugging his bag to his chest with grave determination, as if it contained priceless treasure instead of ordinary stones. His cheeks turned faintly pink, but he still lifted his chin, clearly proud of the secret stash.
"Don’t worry," Luna said, baring her tiny teeth in what was meant to be a fierce expression. "We will protect your bag!! Anyone who comes near it, I will bite them!" She thumped her little fist against her desk for emphasis, growling with full commitment.
Rocky blinked at her, startled by her sudden loyalty, then nodded shyly, blushing even harder as he sneaked a glance at Alina, as if hoping she had seen how brave everyone was being for him.
"Me too!" Boo declared, floating a little higher in excitement. "I will hunt anyone who tries to steal your pebbles!" His tail flicked dramatically, the sparkling cloth swishing behind him like a royal banner. "No pebble thief will survive!"
The rest of the class nodded along, fully convinced that Rocky’s pebbles were now a matter of classroom security.
Felix, however, slowly blinked, then covered his face with one hand in quiet disbelief. Who on earth was going to steal pebbles? They were literally everywhere. Gravel existed. Roads existed. Reality existed. But he wisely chose not to challenge their logic.
