I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 471
Lucien looked equally unconvinced. He stared at Rocky’s bag for a moment, then at the overly dramatic group, his expression calm and faintly puzzled, as if thinking, This is an unnecessary level of emotional investment in rocks.
Alina, on the other hand, pressed her lips together, desperately trying not to laugh. Her shoulders trembled as she smiled at them all, her heart melting at their dramatic, over-the-top loyalty.
"Alright, alright," she said warmly, eyes bright. "Rocky’s pebbles are officially under Class D’s protection. No pebble thief will stand a chance."
Rocky clutched his bag even tighter, looking both proud and deeply reassured, while the rest of the babies nodded like sworn knights of the Pebble Guard.
"Alright, who is next?" Alina asked brightly, her excitement warm and genuine. She was starting to feel a little tired from standing, so she pulled her chair forward and moved it closer to the children, settling into it so she could look at them properly, eye to eye. She wanted to see every expression, every sparkle in their eyes as they spoke.
"Meeeeee!" almost everyone shouted at once, tiny hands shooting into the air, some of them waving so wildly it looked like they might take flight.
She laughed softly. "Okay, okay... Felix, you go next," she said, pointing at him.
Felix straightened immediately, his seven tails flicking behind him with lively energy. He looked proud, excited, and a little too eager to share.
"My family and I went to my grandmother’s house," he began, his voice bright. "She has a huge backyard full of peach trees. Like... a LOT. So many peaches that I thought the trees might fall over."
He lifted his hands dramatically, eyes widening. "And I had unlimited access to eat them."
A collective gasp rippled through the classroom.
"Unlimited?" Drake whispered in awe.
Felix nodded smugly. "Unlimited," he repeated. "Every time I finished one, I could just grab another. My mom said I might turn into a peach one day."
Alina laughed. "Did you?"
"No," Felix replied seriously. "But I did eat enough to feel like one."
He continued, his tails swaying as if acting out his story. "My mom and grandma made peach cakes, peach pies, peach juice, and even dried peaches. And there were mangoes, bananas, berries... all kinds of fruit. Every meal felt like a festival."
His eyes shone as he went on. "And every morning, we ran in the mountains. Real mountains. With rocks, trees, and hidden paths. I raced with my cousins, climbed over fallen logs, hid behind trees, and hunted small forest creatures."
"Did you catch any?" Luna asked eagerly.
Felix grinned. "Almost. They’re fast."
He leaned forward, lowering his voice like he was sharing a secret. "One day, we found a hidden stream. The water was so cold and clear, and at night there were tiny glowing insects flying above it. It felt like an adventure every single day."
His tails flicked proudly again. "I ran, I hid, I explored, I ate too much fruit... and I never got bored even once."
When he finished, he looked around expectantly.
"That sounds amazing," Alina said warmly, genuinely happy for him. "You had such a full, exciting holiday."
"Yeah," Felix said with satisfaction. "Best break ever."
She smiled at the group again. "Alright... who wants to go next?"
"Mee..." Luna said, raising her hand with quiet confidence.
Alina smiled warmly at her. "Go on, Luna."
Luna straightened, trying to look serious, though the tiny curve of her lips betrayed her excitement. "I stayed at home with Mommy and Daddy," she began, her tail giving a slow, proud swish. "But I did very important tasks."
"Important tasks?" Alina repeated, amused.
"Yes," Luna nodded gravely. "My pack was planting a lot of new trees, and I supervised them." She lifted her chin. "If anyone was slacking, I would growl at them."
A few of the babies giggled.
"I also did some hunting in the forest," Luna continued, eyes brightening. "I practiced tracking, hiding, and running fast. Daddy said I’m getting better at sensing things."
She paused, then added more softly, "I played with my friends too. We raced, wrestled, and shared snacks."
Her ears perked up again as her tone grew brighter. "And then Mommy and Daddy took me on a short trip with our pack. It lasted two days. We camped together, told stories at night, listened to the forest sounds, and howled at the moon."
She gave a small, satisfied nod. "It was very fun."
"That sounds wonderful," Alina said gently, touched by her pride. "You did so many meaningful things."
Luna flicked her tail once, pretending not to be too pleased, but the glow in her eyes gave her away.
"Who is next?" Alina asked, smiling as she looked around the room.
Vlad Jr. lifted his hand with calm elegance, as if he had been waiting for this moment.
"Yes, Vlad Jr., go ahead," she said warmly, already curious.
He rose slightly from his seat, one hand resting over his chest in a refined manner, his crimson eyes gleaming with quiet pride. "During the holidays," he began smoothly, his voice soft but cultured, "my father and mother took me to visit another vampire branch. It was very far. The journey took nearly two days, and we traveled through many beautiful night regions."
He smiled faintly. "We stayed in a grand palace. It was... exceptionally luxurious. The ceilings were carved with ancient designs, the halls were lit by crystal chandeliers, and the corridors echoed with classical music."
A few babies stared in awe.
"I attended several evening gatherings," Vlad Jr. continued gracefully. "There were formal banquets, elegant tea parties, and poetry salons where refined guests discussed literature and art. I practiced my manners, learned proper hosting etiquette, and even performed a short piano piece."
His lips curved upward with quiet satisfaction. "I also spent much of my time writing poetry. Elder Feren was so impressed that he framed one of my poems and displayed it in his private study."
Then he added in a gentle, matter-of-fact tone, "And the blood there was... exceptionally rich and flavorful."
The classroom fell silent.
