Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 657: Miss your voice so much
Daisy Ginger asked him to take a bath in the bathroom.
When he finished bathing, his dirty clothes had also been washed and dried by the dryer.
Daisy watched him skillfully put on his clothes with a familiar ease, and for some reason, a sense of sadness welled up in her.
She walked over, tidied his hair, and asked, "Don’t you have a housekeeper at home?"
Looking at the way he dressed, it didn’t seem like someone had been attending to him recently.
"Yes, I do," George Stephens replied, "but I drove them away. I don’t like those women touching me."
Daisy was slightly taken aback and buttoned his shirt, "Who used to dress you?"
George lowered his eyes, his voice indifferent, "They were all replaced."
"..." Daisy raised her hand and gently tousled his hair, saying nothing for a moment.
She was acquainted with George Stephens, but they weren’t particularly close, and she couldn’t help him much.
George refused to attend class; downstairs, people were searching for him, yet he just crouched under the windowsill, hugging his knees in a daze.
It wasn’t until the servants Ryan Smith called in came that someone discovered him and took him away.
As he left, George waved at her before following the Stephens family out of her residence.
Children grow fast; after three years without seeing him, he was no longer the small, thin figure he was before, but his lean, slender silhouette seemed to offer a glimpse of his teenage self.
Whether in appearance, demeanor, or temperament, he didn’t resemble Edward Stephens at all. Maybe growing up on Robert Stephens’ side, he bore some of Robert’s traits.
In the future, as Robert Stephens loses influence, George’s position and identity in the Stephens family may become more awkward.
Who knows, when Charlotte Smith schemed against Edward back then, did she ever consider her own child’s current plight?
She shook her head and withdrew her gaze.

To Daisy Ginger’s surprise, Lady Stephens didn’t live with the Stephens family anymore.
Apparently, a year ago, she had moved out of the old family home and was now living in Europe with her husband.
No wonder George stayed with the Stephens family with no one to look after him.
As the son of Edward Stephens, Charlotte couldn’t take him from the Stephens family back to the Smith family, and George’s situation might worsen in the future.
Recalling how he used to be so unruly in the Stephens family three years ago, Daisy couldn’t help but sigh.
At dusk, after Daisy and Erin Ginger finished dinner, Edward Stephens called her.
His number had changed, and when she first answered, she didn’t react until the man softly asked, "Have you eaten?"
Her first instinct was to hang up the call.
"Daisy, keep me company for a while, will you?"
As if sensing her reaction, the man’s voice grew softer and deeper, carrying a hint of pitifulness even through the phone.
"..." Daisy hesitated for a moment, slowly moving her finger away from the hang-up button. Sitting on the sofa, her delicate, fair face still wore an unkind expression, and she simply said, "Talk about what?"
There wasn’t much left to discuss. They hadn’t seen each other for three years, separated by such a chasm, and what remained between them was nothing but leftover affection and softness in her heart.
But even though she loved him, she could live well on her own. She used to think that loving someone meant she couldn’t live without him, but after letting go, she found she was still living well.
No one is indispensable to anyone.
"Anything will do." He replied quietly, "I miss your voice too much, just say something. I’ll listen."
