Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 619: Like fish to the sea, like birds to the forest
Edward Stephens and Coco were forcibly separated, and he was taken back to the Stephens family by Robert Stephens, unable to leave without Robert’s permission.
Naturally, no one dared to defy Robert Stephens’ orders, especially since Edward had limited mobility in his legs, lacking the agility of a normal person, so he was effectively controlled by Robert and had no way to contact Coco from the Stephens family.
The relationship between the two brothers was strained because of this incident. Even with his memory loss, Edward was no easy character. The third time he secretly tried to sneak out of the Stephens family but was caught by Robert, Robert directly confined him in the villa, watching the entrance 24/7, not allowing him to leave again.
As an observer, Daisy Ginger felt how passionately Edward loved someone.
When he loved a person, it was as if he threw his entire being into the woman he cherished, and she had felt this intensity before as well.
Like a fish to the sea, like a bird to the forest, with no turning back, risking everything.
Once upon a time, he had risked everything to love her, just as he was now recklessly loving Coco.
Lady Stephens was so frightened that she barely dared to appear in front of her, fearing she’d be saddened.
When Daisy Ginger heard the news, she was indeed a bit shocked, but she quickly calmed down.
She had observed the relationship between Edward and Coco and noted how his gaze followed Coco, just like it had once followed her—she knew what it looked like when he fell for a woman.
Affection grows with time, and there’s a fledgling bird syndrome, not to mention, Coco perfectly fit the image of the woman Edward once loved.
It’s only natural he would want to be with her.
Daisy Ginger didn’t visit Edward, but the events that happened between him and Robert reached her ears intermittently, and she knew how they were at odds because of Coco.
That day at noon, Daisy and Erin finished their lunch, coaxed Erin to take a nap, and then she leisurely wandered to the door of Edward’s villa.
A bunch of bodyguards guarded the villa surrounding it, but after verifying her identity, they didn’t trouble her much and let her in.
Daisy saw Edward, dressed in gray and white loungewear, languidly lying on the sofa in the living room.
While recuperating, his hair had grown much longer, with soft strands slightly disheveled behind his ears, and his features softened by the framing of his hair.
He leaned against the sofa, one leg hanging off the floor, the other bent resting on the sofa, with a book in English covering his face.
She wasn’t sure if he was asleep because he didn’t move at all when she walked in.
Daisy walked over, reached out her hand to remove the book from his face, and met the man’s languid, indifferent gaze.
Her arrival didn’t seem to elicit much of a reaction from him; his eyes were calm and aloof, carrying a touch of detachment like that of a stranger.
"What are you here for?"
Though it was a question, his tone didn’t differ much from his usual speech.
"Just came to see you." Daisy answered casually, walking over to sit across from Edward. She smoothed the creases on her skirt, speaking with a gentle tone, "I heard you can walk freely now, so I wanted to come and see for myself."
To be honest, it had been almost two months since they last met.
Since Edward was dragged back to the Stephens family by Robert over the matter with Coco, she hadn’t been in the mood to see him.
