His Toxic Addiction-Chapter 383: Little Bundle Of Joy.
Chapter 383: Little Bundle Of Joy.
Hello guys,
Please I want you all to bear with me. Sickness wouldn’t let me write for now but I promise a steady update the moment I’m strong again.
It hasn’t been easy.
...
The door was opened the moment the couple approached the door and Arissa walked in gracefully with Nicklaus beside her.
There was a beautiful smile on her face as her happiness knew no bounds. She felt protected the moment she stepped into the house - her home.
Mrs. Wyatt rushed towards the couple the moment they walked in. She peeled Arissa from Nicklaus’s hold and hugged her daughter tight.
Arissa smiled as she helplessly reciprocated the hug. Nicklaus stood for a moment before taking a step away from them.
Mrs. Wyatt pulled away from the hug and pulled Arissa into another hug. Arissa smiled at Nicklaus from the hug and permitted him to leave if he wanted to.
Nicklaus appreciated her gesture with a chuckle and walked away from them after closing the door behind him.
"You don’t know how surprised and happy I am now. Nicklaus once told me he had no plans to have a family and since then, I thought I’d end up dying without grandkids after not being able to bring mine into the world," Mrs. Wyatt recalled as tears rolled down her eyes.
Arissa remained speechless in the hug, too overwhelmed to say a word. She could not believe how far they had come and how much they had accomplished. She felt so proud of herself, she knew she didn’t deserve someone as good as Nicklaus.
Mrs. Wyatt held Arissa’s waist and pulled away from the hug. She stared at Arissa with her watery eyes and surveyed her body.
Mrs. Wyatt cupped Arissa’s face, "How are you feeling?"
Arissa moisture her lips with her wet tongue before going all out to pour out her complaints to her mother, "Neousous, tired, sleepy, and more,"
Mrs. Wyatt laughed happily and pulled Arissa into another gentle hug before leading her to sit on one of the couches.
She had a lot on her mind right now. Problems that could arise with the higher-ups stormed into her mind but she ignored them all. Pushing every thought that wasn’t Arissa off her mind, Mrs. Wyatt focused on her daughter before her.
"Does this mean you will forever be my daughter until I leave this earth before you?" Mrs. Wyatt questioned tenderly as she squeezed Arissa’s hand.
Arissa bit her lower lips and smiled. She raised her hand to Mrs. Wyatt’s face and gently caressed the woman’s cheekbones before dropping assuring kisses on them.
Mrs. Wyatt was marveled by the act and appreciated it from her heart. The happiness in her heart couldn’t be compared to another. She felt like she was the one carrying the child after all her years of not being able to do that. She can’t wait for the arrival of the little bundle of joy.
"It’s forever," Arissa replied. She stretched out her hand which her engagement ring resided and stretched out the finger the ring rested on, "It’s officially forever," she bit her lips at the end not to cry.
"God!" Mrs. Wyatt gushed. Her heart was heavy with happiness and tears rolled down her eyes, "Thank you, thank you so much for accepting him," she appreciated, looking into Arissa’s eyes with her wet ones.
Arissa shook her head, "No, Mother, I should be the one saying thank you to you and your son for choosing me into the marriage. And also, thank you for accepting me even before I would accept myself as a wife. You gave me happiness again! And your son helped me to realize it," she sobbed, "I should say thank you and not the other way round,"
Mrs. Wyatt was marveled. She wiped Arissa’s tears with her fingers. Cupping Arissa’s face with both hands, she smiled at her and showered the crown of her head with beautiful kisses.
"Look who’s here?" Rue’s voice reacted behind them.
Arissa turned to the sound of the voice. Her eyes sparkled the second they landed on Blu. She placed her hand over her mouth and started at the cat.
Rue walked towards them and before she could get to them, Blu. beat her to it and stood before Arissa in seconds.
Arissa bent to the cat level and scooped the little thing into her arms. The cat purred in delight and she hugged her more.
"Momma missed you too," she whispered to the cat and kissed it, "Momma went away for too long but she has some good news for you," she pulled away and stared at the cat’s face.
Blu. lifted her face to Arissa and gazed into Arissa’s eyes. Arissa stretched the cat’s cheeks softly, "Soon, you won’t be all alone anymore. You’ll have someone to run around with. Momma will be having a baby
," she announced gently.
Blu. stared blankly at her and snuggled more into Arissa’s neck, seeking comfort. Arissa giggled with tears and hugged the cat.
It had always been her and the cat but now, she has learned to accept people and live happily, not just to survive.
Rue smiled at her, "Congrats to you and Nicklaus," she walked closer and stared at Arissa’s stomach.
Arissa blushed. She held Blu. back with one hand and placed the other on her stomach, "It’s congrats to us. I know we barely know each other but I believe that you would be a good person to my child," she said, holding Rue’s gaze.
Rue smiled widely and nodded.
Mrs. Wyatt caressed Arissa’s face, "What would you love to eat?" she asked softly. Even if she hasn’t experienced it before, she has read a lot about pregnancy and knows about their huge appetite.
Arissa’s lips curled up. She placed Blu. beside her and relaxed softly on Mrs. Wyatt’s shoulder, "Can we stay this way for as long as possible?"
"Sure," Mrs. Wyatt replied hastily and pushed closer to Arissa so her daughter would be comfortable. Rue picked Blu. up and took the space beside Arissa.
"Hmm," Arissa released a low sigh and shut her eyes. After a few minutes, she drifted off. Her soft snores attracted Rue’s attention to her and the woman smiled beautifully.
"She’s asleep," she informed Mrs. Wyatt.
Mrs. Wyatt turned her face to Rue with watery eyes and a soft smile across her lips. Rue returned the smile and stretched her hand out to Mrs. Wyatt for support.
Mrs. Wyatt accepted Rue’s hand and tears escaped her eyes. "Thank you for supporting me after all these years,"
