Arissa smiled at her and wiped her tears, "I’m happy too. Do you think I’ll be a good mother?" she asked softly, with a whisper.

She still wasn’t sure of herself.

Adele laughed, "You will," she replied and to the amazement of Arissa, it was to the hearing of everyone. She bowed her head with red cheeks.

Nicklaus laughed in his heart and when Arissa met his eyes, it reflected in his eyes. His eyes showed he could tell the question from how Adele replied with so much assurance.

Arissa shut her eyes and shook her head, trying not to blush harder. She felt a hand around her waist and when she tilted her head to know who it was, she rolled her eyes playfully seeing it was Jocelyn.

Jocelyn kissed the side of Arissa’s head and Nicklaus’s eyes turned shades darker. He remembered Jocelyn promising to be into Arissa’s ass had it been she was gay but well, she wasn’t... but he won’t be so sure until he meets her lover.

Nicklaus stepped forward to walk away with his wife. The level of kisses Jocelyn kept on showering on her was beginning to affect him and it wasn’t in a good way.

Getting closer, Adele immediately pulled him into a hug before he could reach Arissa. Nicklaus froze and his expression became stoic.

He raised his hands to pull her off the hug as he did not like skin-to-skin contact with someone else except his wife. However, before he would pull Adele off himself, Arissa stretched her hand to him and gently touched his thumb.

"Please return the hug," she mouthed and let go of his thumb. Nicklaus held her gaze and blinked slowly.

Taking in deep breaths, he wrapped his arms around Adele and stood frozen. Adele smiled in the hug.

"Thank you so much, I do not even know how to say thank you to you, but thank you," she said in tears and parted the hug.

Nicklaus nodded at her and met Arissa’s eyes. Arissa smiled at him and gave him a ghost thumbs up.

"Arissa_"

"Me too," Jocelyn said from beside Arissa, "I do want a hug," she tugged her friend softly to put in words for her as she did for Adele.

Arissa chuckled, Adele laughed and Collins just smiled from where he stood. Nicklaus shook his head, amused and reluctantly, he nodded at her.

"Yasss!" Jocelyn beat her chest in surprise like one who won an unexpected trophy. She cautiously walked towards him and they hugged for a short second.

She smiled afterward and kept her distance.

Nicklaus thinned his lips and walked towards Arissa. He held her hands, caressed her ring finger, and pulled her into a hug.

Jocelyn melted at the act and Adele tried not to giggle out loud. Collins chuckled and took his eyes off them.

Arissa hugged him back and when they pulled away from the hug, he placed his lips over hers and kissed her softly. He wrapped his hands around her waist and kissed every corner of her mouth possessively.

Arissa wasn’t able to kiss him back due to extreme shyness. She struggled to but when she remembered they weren’t in the room, it restrained her.

Nicklaus noticed her discomfort and pulled away from the kiss. He kissed the crown of her head afterward and held her to his chest.

Collins returned his gaze to them and watched their display of affection and genuine happiness washed over his heart. He was happy he let her go for the best. From everything he had seen and observed, he realized she might have never been this happy if it were to be him.

He stayed with her for a long time but wasn’t able to make her feel as happy as Nicklaus did in just a short time.

He can also see she has gotten over her motherhood fear. The credit for that goes to Nicklaus, and that makes the man stand a hundred chances better.

He sat on the couch and watched them like an entertainment.
