His Toxic Addiction-Chapter 326: Together.
Chapter 326: Together.
Music Recommendation: Dusk Till Dawn - Zyan Malik ft Sia.
...
"I blushed?" Nicklaus asked, dumbfounded.
He assumed she saw wrong. All through his life, he has never blushed but wait, isn’t it the same way all through his life he has never felt the way she makes him feel. He questioned himself in his thoughts.
In that thought, he decided to accept her claims. His heart bubbled when he did that.
Arissa rubbed her soft palms on both sides of his face. She nodded and affirmed, "You did blush, Hubby. Also, why do I feel like you look more handsome with each breath I take in?"
Nicklaus chuckled softly, "I love the sound of hubby coming from you," this time, it was Arissa’s turn to have her both cheeks heated up. It only came to her notice she called him ’hubby’ when he said it.
She never knew she gave him such a title alongside her tease but anyway, she also loved the sound of it. He’s her hubby and no one else’s hubby.
Nicklaus leaned forward and pressed his lips on both sides of Arissa’s cheeks, making her blush harder. The kiss was gentle and patient, which caused Arissa’s heart to flutter.
The kiss went up to her eyelids. "My wife’s beauty is like that of a fine wine. Every day you get better not even the moon can claim to be more beautiful," he said to her from the kiss.
Arissa’s heartbeat speeds up. Its sound was so loud that she wouldn’t doubt it if Nicklaus claimed to catch the sound of it.
Her hands at her sides lifted to clutch his arms. At this moment, her confession was just at the tip of her tongue. freēwēbnovel.com
She clenched his arms tight for support so she wouldn’t spill words out to him. It tortured her that she couldn’t speak to him about her feelings. It made her shut her eyes tightly and before she could stop it, her tears began to flow.
Her hot tears kissed Nicklaus’s lips and he paused with a frown. He hates her tears, especially the sad ones. This one in particular felt sad and he wondered why.
"Arissa," he called her, pulling away.
Arissa parted her watery eyes and gazed into his dark eyes with soft pleas, "I’m sorry I cried," she laughed awkwardly at the end, "You told me never to cry but sometimes I can’t hold it in,"
Nicklaus gently tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. His fingers remained there as he stared back into her own eyes and said, "Yes you’re not permitted to cry unless you let me do it with you. What bothers you this time? Did I accidentally say something sensitive?"
Arissa shook her head and as a reply, she pulled him into a tight hug, "I can’t say much for now but at this moment, I don’t want anything bad to happen," she said to him in the hug.
Nicklaus’s heart melted the way butter does when poured with hot oil. He wrapped his arms around her so tight and kept on kissing every part of her face he could. He showered her with kisses as a means to express himself since he did not have enough courage to say words to her.
She took solace from his arm. Feeling so protected, her tears flowed rapidly. "And I’m sorry we spent our early days fighting. I’m so sorry if back then I’ve said things and words that got you offended without knowing it." she apologized.
Nicklaus did not reply to this. His hold on her waist loosened and he gently pulled away from her. Arissa looked up at him, feeling skeptical about the whole situation.
When he pulled away from her, she figured he might be mad at her. However, Nicklaus held both sides of her cheeks, pressed his forehead on hers, and stared into her eyes.
He said to her, "I don’t know how many times I have to say this for you to get it but I won’t mind, even if I have to say it a thousand times, I would. Arissa you don’t have to feel guilty over anything we went through at the early stage of our marriage. That was at the heat of the moment and I understood how you felt," he smiled, reached for her face, and began to wipe traces of her tears away, "I have a surprise for you tonight and all I ask is for you to give me your honest reply when the time comes. I want nothing more from you but an honest reply,"
He pressed a kiss on her forehead, pulled away, and said, "Let’s go back home the moment we finish our business here," he finished drying her tears for her.
Arissa sniffed. "Let’s go inside," she said so they can finish everything here and go back home early. She needs to take away these heavy words from her mouth so they don’t become heavy anymore.
The contract condition where it read she ’has no right to demand love from her husband’ replayed in her memory. Her heart ached and she felt selfish as if she was demanding too much but whichever way, she would let him know how she felt tonight.
He can’t be this good to her and say that he doesn’t feel anything for her. He does feel something for her and even if he hasn’t realized it yet, she’ll help him to realize it and also, help him to grow his feelings.
He loves her and she feels it. The only thing he needed to do at this moment was to embrace his feelings and she would help him. They would do that together.
It can only be together and together, they can achieve that goal of being together. She wants happiness and she would fight for them because he’s her happiness.
Hand in hand, they got to the door. With Arissa beside him, he opened the door and walked in after a slight knick.
