His soul-Chapter 247: I missed you
After the second session of the exam was finished, Gina helped Tanya and Lily out of the classroom, the three of them sat in the garden enjoying a strawberry milkshake while letting go of their longing after more than two months of not seeing each other.
But Gina, Tanya and Lily’s calm didn’t last long because Selena came back to them. Seeing Selena coming back, Tanya and Lily again stood in front of Gina, being her protector from Selena’s distractions.
"Tsk, you two again. What do you want?" Selena spoke in a high pitched voice right in front of Lily and Tanya who blocked her way.
"We should be the ones asking you that, Selena," Lily replied curtly.
Selena smiled, then tilted her head to look at Gina. "I want to talk to you about Daddy’s matter. Can you get rid of these two bullies for a second?"
"Daddy?" Gina repeated Selena’s words.
"Yes." Selena answered curtly.
Hearing her father’s name being called by Selena, Gina finally asked Lily and Tanya to leave her with Selena, although they initially refused but in the end the two girls let Selena and Gina talk privately.
"Okay, talk."
Selena put her hand into her bag and pulled out a rectangular object that turned out to be an invitation card.
"Tonight is Daddy’s forty-fifth birthday, you are asked to come with your husband by Daddy," Selena said quietly as she held out an invitation card that was handwritten by Julian last night.
"Daddy’s birthday?"
"Yeah and Daddy really hope you come because tonight there will be a special event too," Selena replied quietly with a smile.
Gina looked up at Selena. "Special event?"
Selena smiled widely. "My event to be more precise, because tonight I will announce my engagement party in front of everyone."
"You’re getting engaged?" squealed Gina in surprise.
"Yes, I’m getting engaged. My boyfriend will propose to me tonight in front of Daddy, that’s why you have to come, Gina."
Gina was silent for a long time, seeing the way Selena spoke for some reason, Gina felt that what her step sister was saying was not just a hoax.
Actually, Selena wanted to linger with Gina, but seeing two of Gina’s bodyguards coming closer, Selena finally decided to end the conversation. Before leaving, Selena again advised Gina to come to the event tonight.
"Is Miss Selena bothering you, madam?" Pablo asked quietly, breaking Gina’s thoughts.
"N-no, she just gave an invitation for Daddy’s birthday tonight." Gina raised the invitation card in her hand into the air. "Daddy asked me to come with your master."
Pablo smiled. "Your husband, madam."
"Whatever and I want you to tell him about this invitation," said Gina curtly.
"Sorry, madam. That’s not our jurisdiction," answered Pablo quickly, shaking his head in disapproval of Gina’s orders.
Gina bit her lip hard, she forgot that all of Massimo’s men were as annoying as Massimo. Because Pablo refused, Gina put the invitation card into her bag rudely and said, "Let’s go home, I’m tired."
"Yes, madam," answered Pablo and Darius at the same time.
Without being ordered twice, Pablo then grabbed the handle on Gina’s wheelchair and took her to a Royce Rolls car that was parked not far from the park where Gina was. Tanya, Lily and everyone else couldn’t help but stare at Gina being brought into a luxury car by two handsome men. No one dared to approach Gina out of fear, because the jacket that Darius was wearing was accidentally exposed so that the gun tucked into his waist was clearly visible.
From behind the tree Selena could only clench her fists as she watched Gina get such special treatment from Massimo’s men. "I should be in your position right now, Gina," Selena said hoarsely with hatred.
Selena still doesn’t want to see Gina married by Massimo, the man she was betrothed to. But soon Selena’s anger faded and turned into a smile when she remembered the figure of her lover who was also as great as Massimo del Cano.
"Relax, Selena. Soon you will also get all the privileges that Gina is feeling right now, be patient, Selena." Selena spoke to herself again with a smile.
Because she didn’t want to look ordinary tonight, Selena finally decided to go home immediately, at this time her mother had invited a professional makeup artist to make them beautiful tonight. Selena excitedly walked to her car and immediately left the campus.
Along the way home, Selena continued to talk to her new lover who currently lives in her new mansion near the beach, after being desperate, Selena finally managed to conquer the figure of a handsome man who had come to her house. The handsome man who has as much power as Massimo del Cano has been dating Selena for a month and during his relationship with him, all of Selena’s wishes have been granted. That’s why Selena wanted to make an important announcement tonight in front of everyone regarding her relationship with her lover, without her lover’s knowledge.
Massimo Castle, 1.30 PM
Gina narrowed her eyes when she saw Massimo’s car parked in the yard.
"Massimo is home?"
Pablo nodded his head. "It seems so, madam."
"Why did he come home early today?" asked Gina again.
"Master came home early because his work is done, madam," replied Martin quickly.
Gina immediately turned to look at Martin who was walking towards her, from behind her glasses Martin gave a code to Pablo and Darius. Unbeknownst to Gina, Darius apparently immediately informed Martin about Julian Sanders’ birthday party at his house while on his way home a while ago. That’s why this time Massimo came home early.
In fact, for the past two months, Massimo has hardly been home for more than six hours. He really kept himself busy with all his work.
Gina nodded her head in response to Martin’s words, Gina innocently then asked Darius to take her into the house. Arriving at the entrance, two maids immediately replaced Darius to take care of Gina.
The two of them then took Gina to the elevator to go up to the third floor, from the living room Massimo could clearly see Gina’s face. Massimo’s blue eyes flashed an intense longing for Gina. However, because until now Gina is still angry with him as a result Massimo is only able to endure the torment that has plagued him, the only reason Massimo chooses to work outside is because he doesn’t want to be constantly tormented by the longing that always strangles him when he is at home.
That’s why Massimo prefers to occupy himself with a lot of work so that he can forget Gina for a moment from his memory.
Arriving at Gina’s room, she was immediately helped to change clothes by the two maids, actually Gina was able to take care of herself because the cast on her leg had been removed. However, because Massimo is still afraid that the healing process has not been maximized, he has not allowed Gina to do everything on her own.
"I’ll bring your snacks, madam," said a polite waiter.
Gina shook her head. "No, I-I want to talk to my husband downstairs."
After two months had passed, Gina had recently called Massimo ’my husband’ again in front of her servants. That’s why she felt a little strange at the moment.
"Well then shall we go to the first floor now, madam?"
"Y-yes, but wait. Please get the invitation card that’s in my bag."
Without daring to argue, the maid then carried out Gina’s orders quickly. After the invitation card that Selena gave her was in her hand, Gina then ordered her maid to go down to the first floor. While in the elevator Gina’s heart was racing so fast, she was feeling really nervous right now. Yet the person she wanted to meet was Massimo, the person she had lived under the same roof as for more than two months, not someone else. But Gina was really very uneasy right now.
Just as the elevator doors opened suddenly Gina grabbed the hand of the waitress who was standing beside her wheelchair.
"What is it, madam?"
"I-I’m hungry, can you guys walk me to the dining table first?" Gina spoke casually, answering the waiter’s question.
The two maids chuckled.
"Of course you can, madam. You don’t need to ask permission like that," answered the maid who was holding the wheelchair handle quickly.
Gina swallowed her saliva. "Okay, let’s go to the dining table then."
"Yes, madam."
Gina’s wheelchair was pushed into the dining room, but Gina’s hopes of avoiding Massimo were apparently not approved by God. Because at the moment Massimo was enjoying his late lunch at the dining table, because she was already sitting in front of Massimo, who was sitting alone, Gina couldn’t possibly ask her two servants to take her away from that place. As a result, Gina could only surrender, she let her two maids prepare food for her.
Usually every afternoon Gina only wants to eat in her room, so when she heard that Gina wanted to eat in the dining room, the two waitresses who served her were very excited. Especially now that the master’s house has returned, they hope that with the mistress eating with her master their relationship will improve. Almost everyone in the house was saddened by the cold war that broke out between their masters.
"Please, madam."
Gina looked up at the maid who had just finished preparing food for her. "Thank you."
"Is there something missing, madam?"
"No, this is all enough."
"Well then I’ll excuse myself, madam. I’m behind if you need my help," said the maid back politely.
Gina smiled in response to the maid’s words, after all the waiters left Gina then grabbed the fork that was on her plate slowly. Gina didn’t dare to lift her head up, knowing that since she arrived at the dinner table Massimo had put down his cutlery and just watched in silence as the waiter served her.
Five minutes had almost passed, but Gina just rummaged through her food without intending to eat it. Seeing what Gina was doing made Massimo take a deep breath, suddenly Massimo got up from his chair and walked over to Gina with a plate containing his food. Without permission Massimo then sat right next to Gina.
"Y-you, why are you sitting here?"
Massimo turned to Gina. "Why? Is there a prohibition against sitting in my own house?"
Gina immediately bit her lip hard. "Massimo!!!"
"I missed you, Gina," Massimo said quickly. "How long are you going to keep being mad at me like this? I’m really in pain, Gina."
