Chapter 248: The principle

"I missed you, Gina," Massimo said quickly. "How long are you going to keep being mad at me like this? I’m really in pain, Gina."

The air around Gina suddenly felt hot when she heard Massimo’s words, Gina almost dropped the fork in her hand on the floor if Massimo didn’t immediately reach out and grip her hand firmly.

"I beg your pardon, Gina. You’ve had enough of torturing me for two months like this, Gina. I really am like a madman in this house," added Massimo again in a hoarse voice that wasn’t made up.

With her heart beating very fast Gina looked at Massimo who was right in front of her face at this time, for a moment Gina was absorbed in Massimo’s words but soon Gina immediately pulled her hand away from Massimo’s grip.

"I-I’m not responsible for what..."

Gina’s words stopped when Massimo suddenly kissed her lips, Gina who was sitting in a wheelchair had no chance to dodge and could only surrender, enjoying Massimo’s heady kiss.

Massimo opened his eyes wide when he realized Gina received his kiss, Massimo then deepened his kiss on Gina and tightened his embrace. His great longing really made Massimo unable to contain himself.

After almost three minutes of enjoying Massimo’s kiss, Gina slowly moved her hand, pushing Massimo’s finger away. Massimo, who actually didn’t want to end the kiss, finally gave in when Gina pulled his lips away from her.

"Gina," Massimo called hoarsely with his nose still pressed against Gina’s pointy nose.

"Let go of me, Massimo," Gina said in a barely audible voice.

Massimo narrowed his eyes, putting on a sad face. "I miss you, Gina. Can’t we just..."

"No!!!!" Gina screamed loudly as she pushed Massimo away from her.

Massimo almost fell when Gina pushed him, fortunately both his legs immediately quickly held his body firmly.

Gina’s consciousness returned, she quickly pushed her wheelchair away from the dining table trying to get away from Massimo. "I hate you, you violated the terms of the agreement!"

Massimo sighed. "Breaking what? I only kissed you, you enjoyed my kisses anyway, didn’t you?"

"N-no, who said me enjoyed your kiss. Don’t talk nonsense, Massimo," Gina said quickly, denying Massimo’s words. But her flushed face couldn’t hide the honesty she was trying to hide.

Massimo smiled faintly at the blush on Gina’s beautiful face, he was really very happy to see Gina back like she is now. After just being silent when meeting for two months, it felt like getting back into a small argument like this with Gina was a very pleasant thing for him.

"Okay, let’s end our argument. I don’t want to fight with you anymore."

Gina tossed her hair back. "Okay."

"So how about your first day of exams? Is there a problem?"

"No, everything went well. It’s just....wait. What have you told my professors at college, Massimo? Why are they all being so nice to me?" asked Gina half-shouted when she remembered the incredibly friendly attitude of the two lecturers who were superintendents for today’s exams.

Massimo blinked his eyes. "Me? What can I say to those professors? I’m nothing, Gina."

"I’m not a kid you can easily fool, Massimo!! Tell me quickly, what have you said to the lecturers?!"

Massimo tapped the dining table with his index finger. "I don’t know, I don’t remember, because it happened two months ago."

Gina frowned. "What did you tell them, Massimo?" Gina asked again in a trembling voice, hoping Massimo hadn’t said anything crazy.

"I’m just saying that a beautiful economics student named Georgina Sanders is my wife to the chancellor and director of the college, nothing more," Massimo replied calmly without guilt.

"Jesus!! You said that, Massimo??" shouted Gina hysterically.

Massimo shook his head. "Not really, actually I also warned the lecturers to keep their students from disturbing my wife if they still wanted to continue teaching at the campus."

"Jesus, Massimo...."

Massimo smiled broadly at the angry expression on Gina’s face, seeing Gina angry was a gift for him.

"No wonder the lecturers were so nice to me, you really are insane, Massimo. What if my friends find out that I..."

Massimo’s eagle eyes lit up. "So what if your friends find out? Will you be disappointed if you lose fans?"

"Fans? What fans? Do I really have fans."

"Oh yeah? Then what are those seniors who keep stealing glances at you?"

Gina immediately massaged her forehead which suddenly hurt, arguing with Massimo really gave her a headache and forgot her big anger at the man who kept staring at her without blinking.

"If you’re silent, you’re right," said Massimo again.

"Is that right?"

"You’re afraid of losing fans."

"Jesus... never mind, I’m too lazy to talk to you. Get back in your seat, I’m hungry."

"Go back to my seat? Haven’t I been sitting in my chair since a long time ago, huh?"

Gina’s eyes narrowed. "I’m serious, Massimo."

Massimo immediately raised his hands in the air. "Ok...ok.. I give up, I’m back in my seat."

Gina did not respond to Massimo’s words, only his sharp gaze continued to follow Massimo until he finally sat back down at the end of the table, where he had been. Once Massimo sat quietly, Gina then moved her wheelchair toward the dining table. Without saying anything Gina immediately enjoyed the food that was already on her plate voraciously, it seemed that anger made her hungry.

From where he sat Massimo smiled at the way Gina ate, after the cold war for two months, this was the first time Massimo could see Gina eating voraciously. Seeing Gina’s way of eating made Massimo hungry again, he then went back to eating his unfinished meal with a smile that continued to grow on his face.

Ten minutes passed, Gina had finished all her food. Likewise with Massimo, the two of them had even enjoyed dessert and this was the longest lunch time they had spent together since the cold war.

"Hmm.... are you going back to the office after eating?" Gina asked quietly and timidly.

Massimo smiled. "Why is that? Do you want me to stay home with you?"

Gina shook her head. "No, that’s not what I meant."

Massimo’s expression changed, he looked disappointed with Gina’s answer that did not meet his expectations.

Gina slowly moved her hand, reaching for the invitation Selena gave. Gina placed the gold-colored invitation on the table and said, "Daddy asked us to come over to his house to celebrate his forty-fifth birthday."

"Daddy?"

"Yes, at college, Selena gave me this invitation," Gina replied back while pushing the invitation in front of her.

Massimo’s eyes narrowed, even though he already knew about Julian’s birthday, Massimo chose not to know. Slowly Massimo got up from his chair and walked towards Gina, arriving in front of Gina without speaking Massimo then grabbed the invitation card that was on the table and immediately read it without making a sound.

"If you’re busy I won’t force you, I can come myself," Gina said quietly.

Massimo immediately turned to look at Gina sharply. "You don’t want me to come?"

"No, it’s not like that. I was just afraid that you would..."

"I’ll come with you, isn’t my name written on this invitation?"

Gina’s lips were wide open, she couldn’t believe what Massimo had just said.

"Y-you seriously want to come?" asked Gina again in disbelief.

"Yes, I want to come with you, my wife," said Massimo with a smile.

Gina smiled coldly. "Fake wife you mean?"

"Gina, please...."

"Relax, I’m used to it," said Gina back with a smile.

"Can’t you forgive me, Gina?" asked Massimo coldly.

Gina moistened her dry lips with her tongue. "Ask yourself, Massimo. Can I forgive you or not?"

"Gina..."

"Poppy!" Gina shouted loudly for the name of one of her maids, interrupting Massimo’s words.

The maid named Poppy immediately ran over to Gina who had just called her name.

"Yes, madam," answered Poppy breathlessly.

"Take me upstairs," Gina pleaded quietly.

"Yes, madam."

Poppy carefully then grabbed the handle of Gina’s wheelchair and carried her away from the dining table, but just as she was about to pass through the dining room suddenly Gina asked Poppy to stop.

"I’ll be down at seven o’clock at night, I hope you’re also ready when I get down. That’s if you’re willing to come with me," said Gina again expressionlessly.

Massimo was silent, he did not respond to Gina’s words. Massimo was still bothered by Gina’s earlier words. Since Massimo didn’t respond, Gina asked Poppy to take her to the second floor.

As soon as Gina got into the elevator, Martin, who had been standing far behind him, then approached Massimo.

"Sir..."

"Go to the watch shop, I want my father-in-law to smile tonight at my gift, Martin." Massimo immediately gave orders to Martin.

Without daring to open his mouth, Martin then left in front of Massimo to carry out the orders he had just received, with the other subordinates Martin then immediately drove to Massimo’s watch shop to find a gift for Julian.

After Martin left Massimo and walked to the sofa with his hand still gripping the invitation that Selena gave to Gina, Gina’s words really made his mind confused. His emotions were rekindled, even though Massimo was already happy to be able to hug and kiss Gina again.

After a long silence, Massimo finally contacted one of his acquaintances who worked in the civil registry, Massimo was involved in a long conversation with that person.

"I want everything to be done quickly, Mario," said Massimo hoarsely.

"Don’t worry, sir. As soon as all the documents are in my hands, I will immediately process them," answered the man named Mario confidently on the other end of the phone.

Massimo smiled coldly. "I don’t need promises, I want proof."

After saying that Massimo then turned off his phone and immediately leaned back against the back of the chair with his eyes closed.

"I did this for you, Gina. I broke my own principles just for you."
