His soul-Chapter 246: Massimo’s intervention
Six weeks have passed, Gina’s legs are also much better. The two nurses who took care of her have also returned to work at the hospital after learning that Gina’s fractured bone has begun to reconnect because the fracture in Gina’s leg bone is not too deep and wide, so the healing process can be much faster.
This morning is Gina’s first day back to campus after almost two months of studying at home, although all the learning process went smoothly, but Gina felt a little nervous to return to study on campus. She wasn’t ready to meet a lot of people, especially Selena and her friends. Gina is afraid that Selena will reveal about her marriage to Massimo.
"Today you will be escorted and looked after by Pablo and Darius, madam," said Martin quietly.
Gina looked up at Martin. "Why should I be guarded too? I’m fine, Martin. There’s no need to be guarded like that."
Martin smiled. "Sorry, madam. But this is an order from the master."
Gina immediately turned to Massimo who was sitting at the end of the table, enjoying his breakfast quietly. They had been married for almost two months and during that time their relationship was still the same as the last time Gina had spoken at length with Massimo.
"Okay."
Martin widened his eyes, he couldn’t believe Gina would agree as soon as he brought up Massimo’s name.
"But instruct Pablo and Darius to dress normally and not to carry firearms," said Gina quickly giving conditions to Pablo and Marius.
Martin shook his head. "For weapons, it’s a procedure, madam."
"But..."
"Weapons are items that my men cannot leave when on duty, your choice is to let them carry weapons or take the exam at home." Massimo immediately cut off Gina’s words quickly.
Gina turned her face towards Massimo who had just spoken, after thinking for a while Gina finally agreed and let Pablo and Darius carry their weapons. Being a little nervous Gina chose to just drink hot tea without touching the food, seeing Gina only drinking made Massimo look displeased.
Because she didn’t want to be late at campus, Gina then invited Pablo to immediately go to campus, without saying goodbye to Massimo, who was still involved in the cold war with her.
"How long are you going to be like this, sir?" Martin asked quietly emboldened.
Massimo smiled. "You should ask my wife this question too, Martin," Massimo replied quietly, wiping his lips with a handkerchief.
"Sorry sir, I didn’t mean to..."
"It’s ok, I know what you mean. Well never mind, let’s go to the office. We have a lot of things to do today."
"Yes Sir."
Without another word Massimo then got up from his chair and walked towards the door to immediately go to the office, after discovering the fact that Lucas Dom left his apartment two months ago Massimo finally decided to follow the agreement Gina wanted. Massimo del Cano finally decided to continue his pretend marriage with Gina, the man would rather live in the cold war with Gina than have to let Gina go from his house.
Massimo didn’t want Gina to come back with Lucas, so he agreed to Gina’s terms. On the way to the office, Massimo’s car finally caught up with Pablo’s car when both stopped at a red light, from inside the car Massimo could see Gina reading her book in the back seat. Gina looks very serious about her textbooks.
"I’m not letting you go, Gina. We’ll see who lasts last. You or me." Massimo spoke silently without blinking at Gina whose car started because the traffic light had turned green.

University of Barcelona, 7.30 AM
When Gina arrived, the campus was already quite busy. Because today is the first day of exams, many students have come first to exchange subject matter with other friends to add material before the exam takes place.
Some students who were sitting in the park looked shocked when they saw Gina come in a wheelchair, the news about Gina’s illness had been heard on almost all campuses. Therefore when they saw Gina coming in a wheelchair they were quite surprised, several economics students who were in the same class as Gina immediately approached her.
"Are you okay, Gina?"
"Why did you come, Gina? Sick students can take the exam at home, Gina."
"That’s right, Gina."
"Don’t push yourself, Gina."
Gina smiled at the words of her friends. "My legs are much better, you guys take it easy."
"Gina!!!!"
Lily and Tanya who had just arrived immediately shouted loudly at the same time when they saw Gina, the two girls immediately split the crowd of friends to approach Gina who was sitting in a wheelchair. Because they really missed the two girls and hugged Gina tightly at the same time.
"We really missed you, Gina," Lily said hoarsely.
"Yeah, we missed you so much." Tanya immediately replied to Lily’s words not wanting to lose.
Gina smiled. "Isn’t every day we always chat in group chats, why should we miss you?"
"Tsk, group chats and face-to-face meetings are different, Gina!" said Lily firmly.
"Yes Gina, what Lily and Tanya said is true."
As soon as a commotion broke out, Gina’s other classmates also reacted. As long as Gina is not attending college, they continue to communicate with Gina who is doing distance learning using video, so even though Gina is at home she can still attend the same lectures with her friends via video. That’s why Gina did not miss a single material.
Gina smiled at the warm welcome of her friends, it seemed that Selena kept her promise by not revealing about her marriage to Massimo. Because the exam time was about to start, Gina was pushed into the classroom, not only Tanya and Lily who helped Gina. But almost all the students who surrounded Gina helped her, seeing that Pablo and Darius smiled.
"Should we report this to Master, Pablo?" Darius asked quietly in a half-whisper.
"Of course, we have to report everything that madam experienced on campus to master," Pablo replied quietly as he buttoned his open shirt.
Darius nodded slowly. "Okay, I’ll send a message to Captain."
"Okay."
Darius was busy writing a message to be sent to Martin, the captain. After Darius sent a message, Pablo then asked him to go to the student cafeteria to buy a drink while waiting for Gina to finish her exam. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Gina’s exam time this time was divided into two sessions, the first session would take an hour and a half. While the second session will take one hour. As soon as the bell rang the atmosphere of one of the best campuses in Barcelona became quiet, all the students took their seats. Taking the questions seriously, as well as Gina, who was asked by the lecturer to work on the questions beside the lecturer’s desk. Because the current economics class room already uses circular chairs, which Gina won’t be able to sit in because she still uses a wheelchair.
Without having any trouble Gina managed to finish her exam well, Gina seemed quite satisfied with the answers she wrote down. However, something different was seen from several other students who were already grumbling in their seats for not being able to do the questions perfectly. Gina smiled at this sight. Her longing for months studying at home was cured by seeing her friends.
But Gina’s smile didn’t last long because of the arrival of Selena and her friends. Not only was Gina surprised to see the presence of the business major, but almost all of Gina’s friends, most of whom were still in the class, were also surprised. Lily and Tanya immediately ran to Gina when they found out that Selena and her friends were walking towards Gina.
Selena smirked when she saw Lily and Tanya block her steps from approaching Gina. "So you’ve got a new bodyguard now, Gina?"
"Don’t bother, Gina. You’d better go back to your classroom, Selena," Lily replied curtly.
"Right, you better go back and study to prepare for the next exam, Selena." Tanya who didn’t want to lose joined the conversation with a curt expelling Selena.
Selena folded her arms across her chest. "I don’t want to serve two unclassified girls like you guys."
"What did you say??!!" Lily screamed loudly.
Gina smiled, she then took Lily’s hand and held it tightly. "It’s ok, you two take it easy."
"But Gina, she once..."
"No, Selena wouldn’t dare mess with me on campus. Especially now that I’m still sick like this," Gina said slowly, cutting Tanya’s words.
Lily and Tanya looked at each other, both then glared back at Gina.
Gina smiled. "It’s ok," said Gina back.
Without speaking Lily and Tanya moved away from Selena, letting the girl approach Gina who was sitting quietly in her wheelchair without any fear. As soon as Gian’s two friends left, Selena then stepped back towards Gina. Arriving in front of Gina’s wheelchair, Selena’s mocking smile grew.
Selena slowly bent over trying to be level with Gina’s and said, "So what people say is true, Massimo del Cano is really terrible."
Gina smiled, she understood where her step sister was talking. "I fell in front of the toilet while wearing high heels, this has absolutely nothing to do with Massimo."
Serena smiled widely. "You seem like a really good wife, Gina."
"Of course, I have to be a good wife to my husband because there are so many women out there who want my current position as Mrs. del Cano," Gina answered quietly and sarcastically, Gina already knew everything about Selena. Including Selena’s attempt to approach Massimo, Gina overheard the conversation of several maids talking about the arrival of Selena who wanted to surrender herself to Massimo.
Selena’s face paled, her smile disappearing. Her breath immediately turned heavy. "Y-you..."
"This is in class, Selena. Remember that, you can’t be mean to me because if that happens then your good name will be ruined on campus. Especially if everyone knows that I’m your sister, not a maid like what you’ve been telling your classmates about." Gina spoke sharply, cutting Selena’s words, this was the first time Gina could speak that coldly to Selena for more than a year she had known her step sister.
Selena’s lips were locked, Gina’s words successfully made her numb. Her intention to tease Gina for the wound on her leg now didn’t work out, Gina was too strong for her to touch right now.
Damn, where did this bastard learn to talk? Selena spoke in her heart full of emotion, looking at Gina who was smiling at her.
"You better hurry back to your classroom because the next exam will start soon, don’t disappoint Daddy with your grades, Selena," Gina said back full of intimidation.
Damn.
Selena, who could no longer speak in front of Gina, then immediately turned her body and immediately left the economy class room without speaking, leaving her other friends to her classroom. Selena was too shocked to hear the sharp words that Gina said.
Seeing Selena leaving, the four other business students immediately left the economics class which was starting to fill with students again because the second session of the exam was about to start after a ten minute break, Tanya and Lily immediately approached Gina as soon as Selena and her friends left.
"It must be hard living with such an arrogant girl, Gina?" Lily asked quietly, almost everyone knew about the fake news that Selena told her friends. They have all been consumed by Selena’s lie that says that Gina is the daughter of a maid at her house.
Gina chuckled. "Everything that is tried for the first time can be hard, but after living day after day, month after month everything seems easy."
"Ah, you’re too wise, Gina. It sucks," Tanya snorted in annoyance.
Gina’s smile grew wider. "Never mind the gossip again, hurry back to your seats. The lecturer will be here soon."
Annoyed, Lily and Tanya walked back to their seats, leaving Gina still sitting in her wheelchair beside the lecturer’s desk. A female lecturer who had just entered was surprised to see Gina sitting in the front, but after seeing Gina’s bandaged legs and wheelchair finally the lecturer knew who the beautiful student was sitting beside the lecturer’s desk in front of her other friends.
Without wasting time, the female lecturer then began to distribute the test papers to all students, including Gina, the female lecturer even looked very friendly when giving Gina the exam papers. Just like the first lecturer who became a supervisor in the first session exam. Fix, something went wrong. Gina was sure that the change in attitude of all the lecturers had something to do with Massimo, Gina’s feeling was strong about this.
"What have you told all the teachers on this campus, Massimo," Gina said to herself.
